Chapter 536
But no matter how hard Louisa looked at him, she couldn’t remember where she’d seen this little boy before.
At the same time, the little boy was looking up at her.
Those bright, sparkling eyes were impossibly endearing.
Louisa patted his head. “Don’t be scared. He won’t dare do anything to you.”
“You really are beautiful inside and out. Thank you.” He flashed her a brilliant smile, then immediately ducked behind her legs. Out of her view, he stuck his tongue out at George.
George was furious. He walked up to Louisa. “Don’t believe this kid. He looks small, but he’s full of tricks-”
Louisa didn’t want to argue with him or hear another word. She turned to leave.
George immediately chased after her, blocking her path.
He hadn’t seen her in a while, and only now did he realize how much he’d missed her.
He stared greedily at her face, his tone softening. “Louisa, I heard Julian’s mother forced you out of the Tudor Group. You’ve resigned now, haven’t you? Come back to the Capulet Group. We can be like we were before. How about it?”
Louisa looked at him like he’d told a joke. “George, are you sick? Whether I resigned or not has nothing to do with you. And I want nothing to do with anyone from the Capulet family ever again. Get lost.”
That last sentence was delivered with zero mercy–cold and brutal.
George’s face darkened instantly. “You don’t want anything to do with me?/Then who do you want to be with? Julian? He’ll never marry you. The Tudor family shipped you off to the Northwest, and you still want to be with him? Have you no shame?”
That last sentence froze the air around them.
Louisa’s gaze turned ice–cold and terrifying.
George regretted the words the moment they left his mouth.
He called out nervously, “Louisa…”
But Louisa wasn’t angry.
She just looked at him with cold, disgusted eyes. “You’re right–I’m pretty shameless. I compromised myself for ten years for you, George. You have no right to even be mentioned in the same breath as Julian.”
With that, she turned and walked away.
George, enraged, immediately tried to follow
Just then, property management arrived.
Chapter 536
They’s heard there was a ‘child abduction incident and came to check it out.
They hadn’t expected to find Louisa and George.
Because of the previous incident when George had drunkenly shown up at Louisa’s place, the property staff recognized them both.
They asked Louisa first, “Ms. Forbes, are you alright?
Louisa didn’t even turn around. “That man behind me is trying to abduct a child. And he’s harassing me. Please stop him.”
Without waiting for a response, she left.
George was held back by the property staff, seething with anger.
He’d waited so long for her to come back. He didn’t want their relationship to turn this ugly.
But it had come to this anyway.
Watching her walk away without a backward glance–like he was some kind of monster–he shouted in fury, Louisa! I hate you!”
Louisa stayed silent.
Whatever.
When Louisa was angry, she walked fast.
By the time she reached the base of her building, she realized a little tail was still following her.
She turned to look at the little boy. “Why are you still following me?”
The little boy spread his small hands. “What else am I supposed to do?”
His cuteness dispelled some of her irritation.
She crouched down to his eye level. “Why are you alone? Did you get separated from your parents? I can take you to property management. They can help contact your mom and dad.”
The little boy shook his head. “No need. I know where my dad is. Can you take me to him?”
Louisa asked, “Your dad’s in this complex too?”
The little boy nodded. “Yep.”
Louisa figured if he lived in the same complex, it wouldn’t be much trouble to drop him off.
She asked, ‘Do you know which building your dad lives in?”
The little boy said, ‘I do. Building Seven.
Louisa raised an eyebrow, surprised. The same building as hers
Chapter 536—
The and Which floor?”
The little boy said, ‘Seventeenth.”
Louisa froze.
There were only two units on the seventeenth floor of Building Seven–hers and Julian’s.
She stared at the little boy in shock. “Your dad… is Julian?”
The little boy nodded innocently. “Yep. You know my dad?”
Louisa was speechless.
No wonder his features looked familiar–he really did resemble Julian.
But where did Julian get such a big son?
Louisa felt like this whole situation was absurd.
She had no choice but to bring the little boy up to the seventeenth floor.
She said to him, “Your dad probably isn’t home right now, but Bob is. You can wait for your dad over there.”
She was about to head back to her own place.
