After the Affair Falling into a Billionaire's Arms novel Chapter 538

Chapter 538

Louisa looked at Julian with a half smile. “Mr. Tudor has the nerve to raise a son this big, but not the guts to admit it?”

Julian sighed.

He could tell she was deliberately needling him.

He didn’t bother explaining.

Turning to the little boy, his gaze turned cold. “Justin, you don’t want your allowance this year, do you?

The little guy’s expression immediately turned ingratiating. He walked over to Julian and tugged at his hand. “Julian, don’t be mad. Please don’t be mad.”

Julian shook off his hand and sat down on the sofa.

Hearing their conversation and how they addressed each other, Louisa wasn’t surprised. She raised an eyebrow, looking unsurprised.

Seeing her reaction, Justin asked curiously, “Miss-oh wait, sister-in-law, you already knew I wasn’t really his ‘son’?”

Louisa said, “Yes.”

Justin’s handsome little face fell. “No way. I thought my acting was pretty good…”

No one wanted to humor him.

Julian looked at Louisa. “How did you two meet?”

Louisa picked up a grape and peeled it as she spoke. “I went out shopping. On my way back, I ran into him causing trouble for George.”

“Sister-in-law, that’s not fair.”

Justin immediately protested. ‘I wasn’t causing him trouble. He was the one picking on me.”

Louisa glanced at him coolly. “No matter how terrible George is, he wouldn’t pick on a little kid for no reason.”

Justin was at a loss for words.

Julian and Louisa both looked at him with identical scrutinizing gazes.

He chuckled awkwardly, looking at Julian, then at Louisa.

Finally, he walked over to Louisa. “Sister-in-law, don’t be mad. Please…”

He pressed his palms together, his bright eyes blinking pleadingly.

Louisa hadn’t known why this little guy had gone after George before, but now she understood.

The kid probably already knew George was her ex-husband and did it on purpose.

Chapter 538

As for what he was trying to accomplish, she didn’t know.

And she didn’t care. She corrected his form of address coolly. “I’m not your sister-in-law. Stop calling me that.”

If the Tudor family found out, they’d probably think she was using a child to try to marry into the family

Justin grabbed her hand and wheedled, “You will be eventually anyway. What’s wrong with calling you that a little early? And you know what? I wasn’t lying

to you. Julian used to use me as a shield against women all the time, saying I was his son I made a pretty big sacrifice to help him with that act.”

“But when you asked for money, I didn’t hear you mention any big sacrifice, Julian reminded him coolly.

The little guy chuckled again.

Julian didn’t bother with him anymore. He scooted closer to Louisa, wrapping an arm around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder, and murmuring in

her ear, “I’m actually a pretty faithful guy. Don’t you want to reward me properly?”

Louisa was speechless.

Couldn’t he see his brother sitting right across from them?

In front of a kid, couldn’t he behave himself a little?

She pushed at him, signaling him to stop.

Justin, being sharp, immediately waved his hands. “It’s fine, it’s fine. Just pretend I’m not here.”

Louisa fell silent.

Julian fell silent.

Truth be told, no one could really pretend he wasn’t there.

Just then, Julian’s phone rang.

It was William calling.

Julian answered.

Before he could speak, William’s anxious voice came through. “Julian, your seventh brother is missing. He-

“He’s with me.” Julian cut him off flatly.

After hanging up, he lifted Justin off the sofa. “Come home with me.”

Justin looked reluctant but still followed him.

Before leaving, Iulian told Louisa he’d be back soon.

Louisa said coolly, “It’s fine. I want to rest now anyway.”

Chapter 538-

In other werds, he could stay away as long as he wanted.

Julian looked at her for a long moment, wanting to say something but ultimately saying nothing.

On the way back to Tudor Manor, Justin asked, “Julian, does sister-in-law not like the Tudor family?”

Julian glanced at him. “You figured that out?”

Justin said, “In the past, whenever people heard I was your brother or your son, they’d do everything they could to butter me up. Sister-in-law is different.

She didn’t try to please me at all. In fact, I could tell she was just humoring me. Good thing I was well-behaved, or I think she might’ve thrown me out.”

“You? Well-behaved?” Julian scoffed.

Of all the Tudors, Justin was the biggest wolf in sheep’s clothing-looking sweet and obedient on the outside, full of schemes on the inside.

Justin continued, “And just now, when you said you were taking me home, her attitude got a little cold… not cold, exactly, but like she was deliberately

drawing a line between you and her. Like, ‘Your Tudor family business has nothing to do with me. Don’t tell me about it, and I don’t care. Is that right?”

He looked at Julian questioningly.

Julian’s grip on the steering wheel tightened.

He had to admit, Justin’s observation was pretty accurate.

Louisa had been avoiding anything and everything related to the Tudor family.

Probably because she didn’t want to blame him for choosing his mother, but deep/down she was terrified he’d make the same choice again. So she used

avoidance to convince herself she didn’t care.

That time he’d abandoned her seemed like it was in the past.

But in her heart, it had never passed.
