After the Affair Falling into a Billionaire's Arms novel Chapter 546

Chapter 546

He pulled out two tissues and dabbed his mouth elegantly before looking at Louisa. The office space for your company is already leased. Next step is renovating it. Any ideas?”

Louisa shook her head. “Not yet.”

Julian held out his hand toward her. ‘Give me your phone.”

Louisa had no idea what he was up to, but she handed it over anyway.

Julian entered a number and saved it to her contacts. “This is the head designer at the Tudor Group’s design department. I’ve already briefed her. Whatever you want, just communicate directly with her and she’ll handle it.”

“Okay, got it. Now hurry up and go.” She pushed him toward the door.

Julian’s smile deepened.

As he stepped out, he pulled her along with him.

Louisa found herself forced to walk him to the elevator.

The elevator would take a moment to arrive. He pulled her into his arms, holding her close. “Won’t you be bored at home by yourself?”

Louisa caught his implication and smiled. “Want me to come to the office with you? Mr. Tudor, have you forgotten? I resigned.”

She tugged on his tie and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. “You be a good boy and go to work. I’m going home to sleep.”

Julian wrapped his arm around her waist and returned a more passionate kiss. Then sleep well. Once you’ve rested up, I’ll keep you company tonight for some good exercise.”

He deliberately emphasized the word “exercise”.

Louisa’s cheeks flushed. She pushed him into the elevator. Just go already.”

After sending Julian off, Louisa returned to the apartment.

Not long after, the designer called her.

The Tudor Group’s chief designer was named Tatum Powell, a woman in her thirties with impressive efficiency.

In less than an hour, they’d finalized the plans.

Afterward, Louisa sat on the couch, bored out of her mind.

She was used to high-intensity work. This sudden idleness felt strange.

Just as she was wondering what to do with herself, Rachel called and invited her shopping.

Louisa agreed immediately.

The two met up at the mall and went for a meal first.

They chatted while eating.

Louisa told Rachel about the severed head scare.

Rachel listened, transfixed, holding a piece of grilled meat in her hand but forgetting to eat it.

Louisa multitasked effortlessly, talking and eating at the same time.

When she got to the part about the mushroom head, Louisa even used the meat on the table as a visual aid.

Rachel couldn’t eat another bite. She nearly gagged. “That’s disgusting.”

Louisa took another bite of meat and poured Rachel a glass of water. “Disgusting, yeah. I saved the pictures on my phone, but I didn’t

want to show you and ruin your appetite.”

Rachel waved her hands frantically. “No, no, no. You can keep that privilege to yourself. I’ll pass.”

Louisa snorted and continued eating.

Rachel stared at her in awe. “You can still eat? Doesn’t it gross you out?”

Louisa said, “I have to eat. Otherwise, how am I going to have the strength to fight the bad guys?”

Rachel said, “I don’t think we can even call them ‘bad guys’ anymore. This is psycho territory. Serial killer. Terrorist. How are you supposed to fight someone like that?”

Louisa said, “No choice. It’s not a question of how I fight. She’s already targeted me. I have to fight whether I want to or not.

Rachel asked curiously, “Is this psycho Vivian?”

Louisa said, “No. It’s Angelina.”

“Angelina?” Rachel hadn’t heard the name before. “Who’s that?”

Louisa fell silent.

She’d said too much.

Better not to tell Rachel about a psychopath like Angelina.

After the meal, they left the restaurant and strolled through the mall to walk off their food.

Passing by a jewelry store, Rachel suggested, “Let’s go in. My grandma’s birthday is coming up. It’s her seventieth. I want to pick out something that’ll make her happy.”

“Sure.” Louisa went in with her.

The two were browsing styles at the counter when a commotion erupted in the store.

Three people walked through the door.

Adeline, Amelia, and Justin.

Amelia had ordered a jewelry set here previously and was coming to pick it up. She’d dragged her mother along, who hadn’t been out in

ages.

Worried that Justin would get bored and pull another disappearing act, she’d brought him along too.

Every employee in the store rushed to attention.

The manager approached with a respectful, enthusiastic demeanor. “Mrs. Tudor, Ms. Tudor, right this way, please.”

The staff divided responsibilities. Some rushed to open the VIP room door, others went to prepare tea, still others brought out fruit

platters.

They all looked nervous and flustered, as if terrified of offending these important clients.

Louisa and Rachel were still browsing at the counter, paying no attention to the commotion.

Amelia, however, glanced in Louisa’s direction.

Louisa had dressed casually for a day of shopping and eating. She wore a lavender knee-length dress with bell sleeves that showed off her slender arms, light and flowing.

The widened waistband accentuated her narrow waist.

Her long hair fell loosely around her shoulders. Her graceful figure and flawless skin were eye catching.
