“So, Agnes, could you come to the estate tomorrow? It’s her birthday. She really wants to see you.”

Her eyes turned red.

She felt awful. She had been so busy these days that she hadn’t visited Sabrina at all. She hat herself for it.

“I’ll go!” she said quickly. “Don’t say things like that. Sabrina will live a long life. She has to.”

Early the next morning, Agnes went to the Newton Estate.

Her eyes were a little swollen. She had cried for a long time the night before.

If Raymond hadn’t told her Sabrina was already asleep, she would have gone over right after the call.

Agnes realized there was a young woman standing next to Raymond.

The girl smiled sweetly and reached out her hand. Agnes politely shook it.

“Hi, Agnes. I’m Monica. Our families go way back with the Newtons. We used to live in Haanburg, but we moved back to Grandridge not long ago.”

She beamed.

“I’ve heard Raymond talk about you a lot. Now that I finally see you in person. Wow, you’re even prettier than everyone says!”

Agnes gave a small smile. “Thank you. That’s kind of you.”

As she spoke, she moved closer to Raymond and hugged his arm, acting spoiled.
