Agnes rushed over to the hospital to check on Rita, who was lying in bed. She was still looking pale but was already doing much better.

Agnes assured Rita that everything was fine with her daughter and that she didn’t have to worry, as a nanny had been hired to help take care of her daughter.

She also assured Rita that they’d already caught the coral snake that had gotten into the shop.

However, when Rita heard about the snake, a confused look crossed her face.

She said, “Agnes, did you just say that there was a snake in our studio?”

Agnes responded, “Yeah, both you and Nadia were bitten by this venomous snake. But don’t worry. The antivenom has been administered, so you’re both fine now. You just need to rest and recover. It’s weird, though. I don’t know where the snake could have appeared from. Looks like we need to tighten our security.”

Rita frowned. “Agnes, I don’t even know how I passed out. Besides… I didn’t see a snake… I was just doing some embroidery while talking to Nadia. I don’t remember anything else.”

“Hmm? We did find a snake in the shop, and there were indeed traces of coral snake venom in your blood. Maybe the snake bit you before you noticed it, which is why you passed out. Nadia saw it all happen,” Agnes told her.

Rita rubbed the back of her head. “Really? Was I out for a long time? My head still feels foggy. so maybe my memories are mixed up. As they were talking, the door to Rita’s hospital room opened, and Nadia slipped in, pulling her IV drip along with her.

“Oh, you’re both here! I heard from the nurse that Rita was awake, so I wanted to come and check in on her.”

Agnes quickly stood up, quickly walking over to support Nadia, saying, “You’re still on your own IV drip. You shouldn’t be moving around on your own. You should wait and come see Rita only when you’re better.”

Nadia said, “My symptoms were mild. It’s fine. I feel like I’m ready to be discharged. I was a bit worried about Rita, so I came to see her. I’m glad she’s alright.”

Nadia answered, “It’s great that both of us are okay. The building’s insurance company had better cover our losses from this incident! How could they not even notice a snake in the building?”

Rita asked, “Nadia, did you see the snake? I don’t remember seeing one.”

“By the time I saw it, it had already bitten you and you’d passed out. Of course, you wouldn’t have seen it. Even so, I wasn’t able to get away from it and got bitten anyway,” Nadia responded.

As she spoke, Nadia stretched out her arm, showing Rita the bite mark.

Rita sighed, thinking about how unlucky both of them were.

Agnes told Rita to have a good rest and helped Nadia back to her ward before she left the hospital.

The next day, Agnes headed to Tidewhisper Lily.

Before she had reached the entrance of her studio, she could hear the sounds of people fighting inside.

A crowd had also gathered at the entrance to check out the commotion.

“I ordered this custom embroidered gown from your shop! Look at this! My skin has become like this! I’m going to sue all of you!”

A well–dressed lady stood at the doors of Tidewhisper Lily, holding a gown in her arms.

She pointed a finger right in their faces as she shouted at them, “Where is your boss? Get her here now! I want to see her! What kind of shop is this?”

The staff all kept apologetic smiles on their faces, but the lady wasn’t having any of it.

Polly quickly brought the lady a glass of water, hoping to calm her down.

With a dark expression on her face, she raised her hand and swept the glass out of Polly’s hands.

Agnes quickly walked over to them.

“Mrs. Ortiz.”

Everyone looked toward the entrance, looking relieved, like their savior had arrived. Polly hurried toward Agnes.
