Compared to the Newtons, the Gibsons were small fry.
By rejecting Ursa, Kayden was basically spitting in the Newtons' faces. He really thought too highly of himself.
Duncan helped Ursa into the car and told the driver to take her home while he went to deal with Eleanor himself.
This time, Ursa didn't stop him; she was all for it.
Kayden had warned her not to touch Eleanor, but if Duncan did it, that had nothing to do with her.
Even if Kayden asked about it later, she could deny everything and say she didn't know.
Just claim her brother acted on his own because he couldn't stand seeing her hurt.
After Ursa left, Duncan gathered a group of guys and blocked Eleanor on her way home from work.
Usually, Carmen would have been there to walk her home.
But as luck would have it, she was stuck in the hospital with a few broken ribs after a street racing accident.
Eleanor didn't recognize Duncan. She thought they were robbers.
She backed up step by step and shouted, "What do you want? Do you want money?"
She quickly dug through her bag, pulled out her wallet, and handed over all the cash she had.
"This is all I have. You can take it..."
But none of them took the money. They just stared at her like predators, smirking.
Eleanor forced herself to stay calm, even as her voice trembled. "Stay back! We live in a world with laws and cameras everywhere. Don't do anything stupid!"
Before she could finish, the men laughed. Right in front of her, they picked up their clubs and started smashing the security cameras. Bang, bang, bang.
In no time, every camera was shattered.
Eleanor froze. She was trembling all over, not knowing what to do. Then, a figure stepped out from the crowd.
Duncan walked up to her slowly, leaned in, looking her up and down.
"So, you're Eleanor?"
He grabbed her chin and sneered.
"Nothing special to look at, but you've got some nerve. Do you even know who you've messed with?"
Eleanor jerked her head and broke free from his grip.
"I haven't done anything to anyone! Who are you?!"
Smack!
A loud slap knocked her straight to the ground.
Her vision went black for a second, her cheek burning with pain.
Still not satisfied, Duncan stepped forward and kicked her, his eyes red with anger.
"You haven't done anything? You really have the nerve to say that?
"Ursa is my sister. If you mess with her, you mess with me. And if you hit her, you picked a fight with the Newtons!"
Gasping through the pain, Eleanor tried to defend herself.

He pulled out her phone and saw the caller ID. Caitlin.
