Chapter 67 Crossed Line
45 Pearls
Neal knew Agnes had not been living well–with the Newtons. He truly hoped Agnes would treat him as someone she could open up to.
He hoped she would him everything she had suffered through. He could help her. He could be the place she ran to when she needed shelter.
But Agnes did not say anything more.
The elevator quickly reached the lobby on the first floor. The two walked side by side, and when they reached the restaurant entrance, they ran straight into Raymond, who had just returned.
Raymond looked at the two of them, and his expression immediately darkened.
He pulled Agnes behind him, stepped closer to Neal, and said in a low voice, “Neal, you’d better stay away from her. Don’t try anything underhanded.”
A trace of disdain flashed across Neal’s face. “And what exactly do you mean by underhanded? Something like whatever is going on between you and Hillary?”
Raymond said, “We are both men. I know exactly what you want, but I am warning you, don’t test my limits.”
Neal said, “Since Hillary is back, and you have already made your choice between her and Agnes, why keep lying to yourself?
“You have seen it too. Agnes is not happy with the Newtons. If you do not love her, then let her go.”
A cold fire seemed to ignite in Raymond’s dark eyes. He let out a low laugh and said,
eyes.
“Neal, since when did you start caring about Agnes? Or are you trying to use her to get at me?
“From college until now, what have you ever had that could surpass me?”
Neal said, “Do not compare me to someone like you. I would never treat her as a tool in some rivalry.
“If you and Hillary keep treating her like this, I will not stand by. You are not worthy of her.”
Standing behind them, Agnes could not hear clearly what they were saying, but their expressions kept worsening, so she stepped closer.
The two men in front of her were both extremely tall. Standing between them, she looked small and insignificant.
Agnes said, “I am leaving first. You two continue.”
The moment she spoke, Raymond wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her tightly against him. His eyes carried both contempt and provocation as he looked at Neal.
Then he said to Agnes in his arms, “Mrs. Newton, come home with me.”
Chapter 62 Crossed Line
5 Pearls
Agnes was half dragged and half forced toward the door by his strength, and Neal stepped forward to stop
him.
Seeing the situation becoming more and more tense, Agnes did not understand what was happening, but in a public place like this, she had to calm Raymond down first
He was someone who could lose control at any moment.
Agnes turned to Neal and said, “Mr. Ruell, thank you. I am leaving now.”
Hearing her words, Neal stopped where he was and stood there, feeling a wave of bitterness.
Agnes was pushed into the car by Raymond. She was speechless. Had he not just taken Hillary away? Why had he come back again?
Inside the car.
Agnes and Raymond were both seated in the back. She kept her head lowered, scrolling through her phone and completely ignoring Raymond, who had been staring at her the entire time.

Tidewhisper Lily had recently become extremely popular. Rebecca kept telling her which celebrities, wealthy wives, and socialites wanted custom pieces.
Raymond was beginning to lose his patience. Was he really less interesting than a phone?
Now that they were sitting together, did she truly not have a single word to say to him?
Raymond said, “You really know how to set a price. One dress for a hundred million.”
Agnes put down her phone and gave a sweet smile. Yes. That is how I cheat people and drain them dry. That is how I survive. Are you satisfied, Mr. Newton?”
Raymond heard the sarcasm in her tone and said, “That is not what I meant. I…”
At that moment, his phone rang. The caller ID showed Hillary.
Raymond did not pick up. On the other end, Hillary kept calling repeatedly as if she would not stop.
In the end, he simply turned off his phone,
Agnes could already guess who was calling without even looking. She did not care at all. Ignoring the man beside her, she continued scrolling.
Sitting on a hospital bed, Hillary threw her phone hard against the wall. She was on the verge of losing control.
Just now, Raymond had only taken her downstairs, then actually told the driver to send her to the hospital, and left her there.
He must have gone back to find Agnes! Hillary clenched her fists as her thoughts raced.
