Chapter 109: Theodore’s Teasing
Chapter 109: Theodore’s Teasing
(Author’s POV)
“Okay, I will ask him and give you an answer tomorrow, Alpha.”
Clai
The respectful voice of the assistant came through the phone line. Ethan ended the call and lowered the device. He sat alone in his luxury sedan, parked in the shadows of the hospital parking lot.
He remained motionless in the darkness for a long time. The silence in the car was heavy. He waited, breathing slowly, until the restless wolf inside him gradually calmed down. The urge to tear something apart, to break the steering wheel in his hands, slowly faded away.
Only when his pulse returned to normal did he reach for the ignition. He started the engine, the headlights cutting through the night, and drove away from the hospital.
Before going to sleep, Amelia received a harassment message from Damien Blackwood, as was becoming his nightly routine.
This time, it was a web link. The title was sensational and bold: “Red Flags: 10 Signs Your Damaged Wolf Has Made Your Alpha A Pervert.”
Damien immediately sent a long message following the link.
“Amelia, you need to read this. Theodore’s injury isn’t just physical. He is likely psychologically twisted because of his disability. A wolf that can’t shift often develops dark urges. He can’t complete the mating process properly, so he might mentally abuse his partner instead. Don’t ruin your life just for the pack’s interests. You deserve a whole man.”
Amelia looked at the glowing screen and sneered.
Inside her, the wolf Ava snorted with disdain. Her voice echoed clearly in Amelia’s mind. *“This weak male is truly both stupid and noisy. Does he think slandering a powerful Alpha can cover up his own incompetence?“*
Amelia agreed completely. Her fingers flew across the screen as she typed a reply.
“Damien, don’t project your own insecurities onto others. Even a crippled Theo is twice the man you are. Try barking at my door again, and I won’t mind having someone ‘euthanize‘ you.”
After sending this message, she didn’t wait for a response. She directly muted the chat box, silencing him. Then she threw the phone onto the nightstand and rolled over.

The next day at noon, Amelia came to the ward next door to treat me after she finished her
lunch.
When she pushed the door open, I was leaning against the headboard, flipping through a financial magazine. The warm midday sun poured through the window, falling on my shoulders.
Seeing Amelia enter, I smiled and placed the magazine on the bedside table. I pulled up my pant legs to cooperate with her treatment.
Amelia took out her special obsidian needles from her kit. She sat by the bed and began to skillfully stimulate the nerve nodes in my legs to clear the energy blockages.
“Is Damien still bothering you?” I asked casually, watching her focused expression.
Amelia shrugged helplessly. She didn’t look up from her work, her hands steady.
“Every night,” she said with a sigh. “He sends me articles about how injured Alphas lose their fertility and become psychopaths. He keeps hinting that you are a dangerous cripple who can’t perform.”
I let out a low, bitter chuckle. A hint of playfulness flashed in my eyes. I didn’t expect such ridiculous rumors to still be circulating in this day and age.
Suddenly, I leaned forward. My eyes locked onto hers, burning with intensity.
“It seems that after we complete the marking ceremony, I must use practical actions to break this rumor as soon as possible,” I said, my voice dropping an octave. “I need to prove my ability to everyone. What do you think?”
Amelia’s hand didn’t pause. Instead, she deliberately increased the pressure of her fingers on a sensitive pressure point.
I grunted softly at the sudden, sharp sensation.
She didn’t blush or look away. She raised an eyebrow, and her gaze boldly swept over my chest and arms. She leaned in close to my ear, a bad smile playing on her lips.
“Careful, big wolf,” she whispered. “Don’t write checks your body can’t cash. Focus on standing up first. Then we can talk about… other ‘sports.”
I leaned back against the pillow comfortably, accepting her challenge. The corner of my

mouth hooked up in a wicked arc.
“There is no need to pretend to be serious in front of you,” I said.
Amelia smiled and shook her head, focusing back on my legs. “I really underestimated your thick skin before.”
“My life was too boring before,” I admitted freely. “Teasing you is a new hobby I’ve developed while recovering from my injury.”
When the treatment ended, Amelia packed away the obsidian needles into their velvet case.
“How do your legs feel now?” she asked, wiping her hands.
I focused on the sensation and described it truthfully. “There is often a numbness and itching at the knees. It feels as if a dormant power is reviving in the blood vessels, trying to push through.”
“That is a good sign,” Amelia explained, closing her bag. “It means the nerves and the werewolf’s self–healing ability are recovering. You can try to lightly touch the ground with the soles of your feet while someone supports you. Feel the gravity, but don’t put weight on them yet.”
I nodded seriously. “I will.”
Amelia stood up and stifled a small yawn. She looked down at me with absolute confidence in her sapphire eyes.
“I guarantee you, Theodore. Within three months, you will stand up again. You will even be able to shift into your wolf form.”
I looked at her gently. “Go back and rest. You look tired.”
“The engagement party is coming up,” she reminded me before turning to the door. “You’ll be busy then, so get your rest now.”
I watched Amelia’s figure disappear out the door. As soon as the latch clicked, the smile on my face vanished instantly.
My long fingers tapped lightly on my thigh. My expression became deep and cold.

mind, Logan let out a dangerous, low growl that vibrated through my chest. *“That is our mate. That fool from the Blackwood pack is too presumptuous.“*
I responded coldly in my heart. *“Don’t worry. His days are numbered.”*
Since Damien Blackwood was so desperate to court death by harassing my fiancée, I didn’t

By evening, all of Amelia’s physical examination indicators were confirmed to be fine. Seraphina happily went through the discharge procedures for her.
Just as they walked out of the hospital building, stepping into the cool evening air, they ran
head–on into Livia Stone.
Livia was holding a paper cup of cold coffee. She looked exhausted and hagard. She was clearly there to visit Caleb Stone in the ICU.
Livia saw Amelia walking out in high spirits, looking healthy and radiant. She immediately thought of her favorite son still lying in a coma, his life uncertain. The resentment in her eyes almost overflowed.
Amelia saw Livia’s angry gaze. She didn’t look away. instead, she stopped walking. She let go of Seraphina’s hand and walked straight up to Livia.
She looked the disheveled Livia up and down. A smile full of unmasked mockery appeared on her face. She locked eyes with Livia.
“Oh, Aunt Livia,” Amelia said, her voice dripping with sweet poison. “You’re just in time. Since Caleb is busy… being in a coma, maybe you can sign the transfer papers for that 10% share on his behalf? I don’t want my celebration party to wait too long.”
Hearing this, Livia trembled with anger. Her knuckles turned white as she gripped the coffee cup, nearly crushing it.
She stared deathly at the backs of Amelia and Seraphina as they turned and walked away toward the parking lot.
She gritted her teeth and cursed in her heart. “You pair of dirty thieves. Don’t be too proud. Adrian and I will make you lose your reputation sooner or later!”
