Chapter 210: “Family”
Chapter 210: “Family”
(Author’s POV)
Alpha Arthur York nodded vigorously at the man sitting across from him.
“Rest assured, Mr. Drake, everything is prepared,” Arthur promised, his voice
eagerness.

He confirmed that the Al–generated video, a deepfake designed to humiliate Amelia Stone, was scheduled for release at 8 PM tonight.
“It will ruin her reputation completely,” Arthur sneered. “She will be the laughingstock of the entire
social circle.”
Griffin Drake stood up slowly, smoothing the lapels of his expensive suit.
“Good,” Griffin said arrogantly. “I have already pressured the other entertainment companies in the Northern Territories.”
He smirked coldly. “They will join forces to block all resources for Starlight Entertainment.”
Griffin fixed Arthur with a hard stare. “About the meeting this Saturday.”
“You must secure the copyright for *Lily’s Healing Diary* at all costs,” Griffin ordered.
Arthur nodded rapidly. “Of course, Mr. Drake.”
Griffin’s eyes narrowed, his expression turning menacing. “And one more thing. Control your daughter, Jade.”
The air in the room grew heavy with his threat.
“I don’t like disobedience,” Griffin warned. “If Jade can’t behave, I won’t hesitate to replace the female lead after we get the copyright.”
Arthur jumped to his feet, sweat beading on his forehead.
“I will discipline her, I promise!” Arthur bowed, escorting the Alpha heir to the elevatur.
As the elevator doors closed, Arthur’s sycophantic smile vanished instantly.
He pulled out his phone and dialed Jade’s number furiously.
“What were you thinking, going to The Velvet Lounge and making a scene?” Arthur shouted the moment the call connected.
“You have angered Griffin!” he roared. “Do you want to ruin us?”

On the other end, Jade’s voice trembled with rage and grievance.
“He hasn’t even marked me yet, and he’s already keeping mistresses!” Jade shouted back.

“If I marry him, my life will be a living hell,” she cried. “Are you really pushing me into a fire pit for the family’s sake?”
Arthur scoffed, dismissing her pain entirely.
“A powerful Alpha like Griffin having a few women is normal,” Arthur stated
“It is an honor for the Gale Pack that the Drake family even looks at us,” he added.
“I won’t accept this humiliation,” Jade retorted sharply.
“If he keeps messing around with that fake, I will cancel the engagement!” she declared.
Before Arthur could respond, the line went dead.
Arthur stared at his phone, his face turning a deep shade of purple.

He was terrified that Jade’s rebellion would offend Griffin, pushing the Gale Pack into bankruptcy.
(Amelia’s POV)
I walked into the East Wing of the Stone Pack House, expecting a quiet evening.
To my surprise, the living room was full of people.
My adoptive parents, Jaxon and Seraphina, were there. But so were the Grey family elders–my grandfather Alpha Edmund, Grandma Helena, and all five of my uncles.
“Amelia!” they cheered as I entered.
My uncles immediately crowded around me, holding out gifts.
“For you, niece,” Uncle Wesley said, shoving a car key into my hand. “Actually, it’s for a private helicopter. Beats the traffic during rush hour.”
Uncle Felix stepped up next, holding a heavy–looking vest.
“A custom tactical bulletproof vest,” he said proudly “It will keep you safe from
Uncle Preston waved a brochure. “I got you a luxury yacht. You need to relax on the weekends.”
I looked at the extravagant gifts, feeling a mix of helplessness and warmth.
“You guys are too much,” I laughed softly.
Uncle Donovan stepped forward calmly and handed me a simple leather notebook.
“Market analysis of every entertainment company in Northgate City,” he said. “And intelligence on your competitors.”

My eyes lit up. “This is exactly what I needed!”
I took the notebook happily. My other four uncles groaned in defeat.
“You’ve set the bar too high, Donovan,” Grandma Helena joked. “What are we supposed to give her for her birthday now?”
Laughing, we all moved to the dining room.
The table was laden with roasted venison, creamy mushroom soup, and exq
Jaxon cut into his steak, looking at me with concern. “How was your first day at Starlight
Entertainment?*
All five uncles stopped eating, watching me intently. They looked ready to fight anyone who had given me trouble.
“Everything is under control,” I said lightly, not wanting them to worry.
I took a sip of water. “Dad, how is Stone Botanicals doing?”
Jaxon’s expression turned grave. He put down his fork.
“It’s tough,” he admitted. “We lack funds and core talent. R&D on the new drugs has stalled, and we’ve had to lay off staff.”
I smiled confidently. “Don’t worry, I have a plan.”
“I’m going to cooperate with our neighbor, Rowan Calder,” I explained. “We will use the Calder family’s high–quality Herb Farms.”
Jaxon looked surprised.
“I’m also hiring the renowned specialist, Dr. Landon Moore, as a consultant,” I continued.
“And I plan to bring in Dr. Iris Morris’s team to break through the technical bottlenecks,” I added. “We might even buy her new drug patents.”
The gloom in Jaxon’s eyes vanished instantly. Hope reignited in his gaze.
We finished dinner and moved to dessert.
Suddenly, my phone rang. It was an unknown number.
I answered and put it on speaker.
“Amelia, it’s your mother,” Livia’s shrill voice pierced the air.
The atmosphere at the table froze instantly.
The Grey family members exchanged looks of pure disgust.

“Just a harassment call,” I said coldly.
I hung up and blocked the number without hesitation.
Seraphina chuckled. “Good girl.”
A moment later, my phone vibrated with a text message.
I glanced at the screen.
[Amelia, Ethan was taken by Derek Crimson. He hasn’t been released yet.)
“Those leeches just won’t quit,” Ava snorted in my mind.
I typed a reply quickly: [None of my business.]

Letting Ethan provoke Derek had been my plan all along. He deserved whatever happened to him.
Almost immediately, another text popped up.
[How can it not be your business? Ethan is your blood brother.]
I read the next line, feeling nothing but contempt.
[Amelia, we have already suffered retribution. We’ve eaten enough bitterness. Shouldn’t you let go of the hatred and help your brother?]
I stared at the screen, a cold sneer curling my lips.
Their attempt to play the “family card” now was pathetic and worthless to me.
