Jaxon wrapped his arm protectively around Seraphina’s shoulders, his eyes hardening as he
addressed his brother.
“Adrian, I’ve always prioritized Seraphina’s happiness above all else. That’s why I willingly stepped aside and let you and your children take control of everything in this pack,” Jaxon said, his voice low but firm. “But now I see you’re all unworthy of such consideration.”
His expression turned resolute. “From this day forward, I will fight to reclaim everything that rightfully belongs to me in the Stone River Pack. And I will leave it all to Amelia, not to any of
you.”
Adrian couldn’t contain his laughter at his brother’s declaration.
“You can’t win against me, and you know it,” Adrian sneered. “Don’t pretend you ‘let‘ me have anything. You and your barren mate couldn’t even produce an heir. What will you fight me with? A daughter I abandoned years ago?”
Just as the tension between the brothers reached its peak, a confident voice cut through the
air.
“And what talents do you possess, Adrian?” Amelia asked, her tone challenging and proud.
Seraphina and Jaxon whirled around to see Amelia standing there, completely unharmed. They rushed toward her, relief evident on their faces.
Seraphina grabbed Amelia’s shoulders, examining her frantically from every angle, terrified she might have been injured.
“Where have you been?” she demanded, her voice trembling. “We called you repeatedly!”
Amelia smiled reassuringly. “It’s nothing serious. I’ve been in Northgate City for three days and wanted to explore a bit. I lost track of time, and my phone fell somewhere.”
In reality, she had lost it when Ethan abducted her. She only noticed it was missing on her way back after parting with Theodore.
Celine frowned in confusion. She knew Ethan had personally taken Amelia away. How could she possibly have returned unharmed? Had Ethan softened toward his biological sister, unable to hurt her after all?

Livia, irritated by the affectionate display between Seraphina and Amelia, let out a
contemptuous snort.

“See? Your daughter is perfectly fine,” she said coldly. “You had no right to accuse us without
evidence.”
Seraphina had finally reached her limit with Livia’s family’s dismissive attitude toward Arnelia, She grabbed Amelia’s hand and urged her toward the Moon Altar to sign the severance
agreement.
(Amelia’s POV)
Standing before the Moon Altar, under Patriarch Alaric’s watchful gaze, I faced the statue of the Moon Goddess with unwavering determination. Without hesitation, I signed my name on
the severance agreement.
Adrian and Livia showed no reluctance either, quickly adding their signatures to the document. I took my copy of the agreement, my heart lighter than it had been in days.
“From this day forward, we are nothing to each other,” I declared firmly.
Livia slammed her pen down on the table with force, her eyes burning with hatred.
“Let’s see how far you’ll get with Jaxon,” she spat. “You’ll come crawling back soon enough.”
I smiled coldly, reminding her, “Don’t forget what I said at noon. Your son should watch his
back.”
Patriarch Alaric raised his hand for silence, his authoritative gaze sweeping over his two
sons.
“I called you all to the Moon Goddess Altar today for two reasons,” he announced. “First, to witness Amelia’s severance from your family, Adrian. Second, to discuss the assets and inheritance rights of the Stone River Pack.”
His voice grew heavier with each word. “I’m not getting any younger. I don’t know how many years I have left, so certain things must be made clear. The pack’s leadership will only pass to someone truly capable. Those without ability should know their place and behave accordingly. At least then they can live comfortably within the pack.”
Adrian shot a sidelong glance at Jaxon, smirking. “Did you hear that? Those without ability should stay quiet if they want to ensure their basic needs are met.”
I looked at Adrian with contempt. “What a pathetic clown,” I muttered, loud enough for everyone to hear.

After leaving the altar, Adrian confronted Jaxon directly, his voice dripping with arrogance.
“I control Stone River Botanicals, the pack’s most valuable asset,” he boasted. “Ethan manages Starlight Entertainment. What do you have to challenge us with?”
His eyes narrowed. “All pack assets will belong to my family. I had considered allowing you and your mate to remain in the pack house after father’s passing out of brotherly sentiment. But now that you’ve chosen to side with Amelia and create this rift, once I inherit the pack, you’ll both be expelled from Stone River territory.”
Jaxon showed no anger at the threat. He simply reminded Adrian, “Our father is still very much alive. Don’t celebrate prematurely.”
After Adrian led his family away, Seraphina sighed deeply.
“If Amelia hadn’t returned, I might never have realized how cold–blooded and heartless they truly are,” she said, her voice tinged with sadness.
Jaxon watched his brother’s retreating figure, his expression grave.
“I was naive before,” he admitted. “I believed brothers shouldn’t fight over inheritance, so I let Adrian have what he wanted since he valued wealth and status so much. But things are different now. For Amelia’s sake, I must fight.”
Seraphina turned to me, wrapping her arm around my shoulders. Her eyes were soft yet determined.
“We might not care about these things for ourselves,” she said gently, “but we can’t let Amelia suffer with us. I want to give her everything–the very best this world has to offer.”
Just then, Patriarch Alaric called me to his side. Standing before the Moon Goddess statue, he looked at me with a serious expression.
“Now that you’ve returned to the Stone River Pack and accepted Jaxon and Seraphina as your parents,” he said gravely, “you should embrace your role as the pack’s princess. Unlike Adrian’s family, I’m not foolish enough to treasure another family’s daughter over my own flesh and blood.”
