Chapter 353: Drugging
Chapter 353: Drugging
(Amelia’s POV)
“That is wonderful… thank you so much, Alpha.”
The chef’s voice trembled with suppressed excitement over the phone. To a regular pack member working the kitchens, two million was already a fortune. Now that I had doubled the bounty to four million, it was as if he had won the lottery jackpot. The sheer greed in his tone was palpable, washing away any lingering
fear of the consequences.
“After you get the drug, just hand it directly to my mother, Seraphina,” I instructed calmly, my eyes fixed on
the road ahead. “Do not let anyone else see it.”
“Understood,” the chef replied respectfully before hanging up the call.
I sat in the driver’s seat, a cold, humorless sneer curling my lips. It seemed Celine was truly desperate this time. To resort to such a clumsy tactic as poisoning the birthday banquet showed just how cornered she
felt.
She seemed to forget that this wasn’t a public show for the high–ranking officials of the Northern Territories like the welcome banquet had been. The guests invited tonight were my closest allies and
family members.
*“Did that idiot forget that Rowan Calder is a master herbalist?” Ava flicked her tail disdainfully in the
back of my mind.
Her sapphire eyes were full of mockery as she stretched her silver paws. *“As soon as that dish is served, Uncle Rowan will be able to smell the foul play from meters away. She is literally digging her own grave.**
I responded to Ava silently, agreeing completely with her assessment. If there was really something wrong
with the dishes, Rowan would notice it the moment he walked into the room. Celine’s move served no
purpose other than to expose her own stupidity and malice to the very people she should fear most.
However, since Celine had prepared this “gift” so diligently, I decided to let my hypocritical sister taste the
-consequences of her own evil again.
I dialed Seraphina’s number, my tone softening immediately as the line connected.
“Mom, the kitchen manager will bring you something in a bit,” I said gently. “Please keep it safe for me. It is prepared for a ‘special guest‘ tonight.”
After hanging up, a cold chill surfaced in the depths of my sapphire eyes. My fingers tapped lightly against
the steering wheel as a plan formed in my mind.
Once I retrieved that packet of powder, I intended to use my pet snake, Green. He could move unnoticed through the dining hall, sliding beneath tables and chairs. I would have him transfer this “seasoning” into

Adrian and Lyra’s food or wine.
I wanted to see just how potent this drug, which supposedly only caused “gastric distress,” would be on
that arrogant Alpha. It was time Adrian Stone learned that his digestive system was just as vulnerable as his ego.
(Author’s POV)
After Seraphina hung up the phone with her daughter, she returned her full attention to the bustling
kitchen. She was personally crafting a one–of–a–kind birthday cake, refusing to let the servants touch it. It
was a design she had created specifically for Amelia, intricate and filled with love.
Dr. Iris Morris stood nearby, helping to wash a basket of fresh wild raspberries that had just been delivered
from the mountains. The red berries glistened under the kitchen lights like rubies.
“Seraphina, you are not only baking it yourself but also designing the shape,” Iris observed, watching Seraphina’s focused profile as she piped delicate frosting flowers. “Such dedication is truly rare.”
Seraphina smiled gently, the spatula in her hand smoothing the cream on the cake’s surface with practiced
ease.
“Ever since Amelia called me ‘Mom‘, I made up my mind,” she said softly, her eyes warm. “I want to give
her the best of everything in this world. I must ensure she never wants for anything.”
These words touched a chord in Iris. Although she had a daughter who supported her scientific career, Iris
had dedicated most of her life to the laboratory and the development of anti–cancer drugs. She felt a deep
sense of debt toward her family for the years of absence.
“Sometimes, seeing my daughter feel both proud and guilty because she cannot inherit my career leaves a
bitter taste in my mouth,” Iris whispered, drying her hands on a towel. “As a mother, I actually only hope
she can live a simple, happy life.”
Seraphina stopped her movements and looked at her seriously.
“Family affection is a two–way street, Iris,” she said warmly. “Your daughter is proud of you, and you love
her. That is enough.”
The two women looked at each other and smiled, sharing a common hope that tonight would be the
happiest birthday Amelia had experienced in twenty–two years.
Meanwhile, in the Crimson Group’s high–rise office, Theodore was monitoring the stock market fluctuations on his computer screen while answering a call from his biological brother, Jasper.
“Brother, Uncle M asked me to pass on a request,” Jasper’s voice came through the phone, sounding slightly hesitant. “Griffin Drake already knows his identity. It’s not safe for him outside anymore, and he is a
man who cannot sit idle. He hopes to find a job inside the Crimson Pack House.”
Theodore’s golden eyes narrowed slightly. His fingers tapped rhythmically on the armrest of his wheelchair,

Uncle M was the mute rogue wolf who had raised Jasper in the shadows. He held a complex and
deep–seated hatred for the Crimson family, specifically for the Alpha King.
“Let him work as a gardener,” Theodore said, his voice betraying no emotion. “I will arrange it.”

He knew exactly what was happening. Uncle M’s move was actually a ploy to lurk near the Alpha King
Gideon, looking for an opportunity for revenge. However, keeping the man right under his nose was indeed
safer than letting him roam outside where Griffin could target him. It also provided a decent cover for
everyone involved.
Just as Theodore was considering how to arrange the pieces on his chessboard, a knock sounded at the
office door.
Beta Marcus pushed the door open a moment later, bowing slightly. “Alpha, Luna Amelia is here.”
“Let her in,” Theodore’s voice softened instantly, the calculating edge vanishing.
The door opened slowly, and Amelia walked in carrying an exquisite medical kit. She wore a well–tailored
