Chapter 355: Not Just a Stomach Ache
Chapter 355: Not Just a Stomach Ache
(Theodore’s POV)
I watched with fascination as Amelia’s slender fingers moved with practiced ease. She was manipulating tiny, venomous beetles, her control over them absolute and terrifyingly precise. A spark of genuine amazement flashed through my eyes as I observed her skill.
“In a sense, Lia, if you wanted to do bad things, you would simply be invincible,” I said, a half–smile playing on my lips.
Amelia’s lips curled upward, revealing a sly, fox–like smile that lit up her face. “Oh, but I am naturally kind,” she teased, her sapphire eyes twinkling with mischief.
I let my smile fade, replacing it with a look of deep, unmasked seriousness. “Kindness itself is not rare in this world,” I said softly, my voice steady. “But to possess endless wealth and stand at the very peak of power, yet still hold onto that kindness… that is what is truly rare.”
Amelia paused, her expression softening as she accepted the compliment with a graceful nod. I never withheld praise when it came to her; she deserved every word. In the depths of my mind, Logan let out a low, rumbling purr of immense satisfaction. He was incredibly proud to have such a powerful and capable mate.
Amelia stretched her arms above her head, relaxing her body after her demonstration. “Well, the Stone family matters are nearly settled,” she said, her tone shifting to business. “Next, it will be the Crimson family’s turn.” She looked at me inquisitively. “By the way, is there any movement from Uncle Mason?”
“He knows he cannot continue his old business now that Jasper’s identity is exposed,” I replied frankly. “He used Jasper to ask for a job, knowing he had no other options.”
“I decided to play along with his request,” I continued. “I arranged a position for him as a gardener at the Pack House. Once he passes the physical examination, he can start immediately.”
I leaned back in my wheelchair, fingers tapping the armrest thoughtfully. “This way, he is completely under our control. He will be right under our noses, easy to monitor at any time.”
Amelia frowned slightly, a shadow of concern crossing her face. “Be careful,” she warned. “Don’t let him actually succeed in any schemes.”
“Don’t worry,” I assured her confidently. “Alpha King Gideon actually knows everything my father did.”
Our conversation turned darker as we discussed the past. We debated whether the death of my mother. years ago was connected to the Alpha King.
“Do you think he was involved?” Amelia asked in a hushed tone.
I analyzed the situation aloud. “If Grandfather knew about Theron’s conspiracy back then, he wouldn’t have

allowed the fake Ronan to harm me. Unless he wanted to get rid of me as well.” I shook my head slowly. “But currently, there is no evidence to support that theory.”
I looked into her eyes, appreciating her vigilance. “However, I agree with your caution. Power is only safe when it is firmly in one’s own hands.”
The conversation wound down, and Amelia stood up to leave. “I need to go back to the Stone Pack House,” she said. “I have to pick something up and handle a few things.”
She leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to my forehead. “See you at the birthday banquet tonight.”
I felt the warmth of her lips linger on my skin. Before she could pull away, I grabbed her wrist gently. I pulled her closer and captured her lips with mine, deepening the kiss. “I promise,” I whispered against her mouth. “I won’t let you down.”
(Amelia’s POV)
As soon as I returned to my space, I pulled out my phone and dialed Silas’s number immediately.
“What is the situation with Livia?” I asked, my voice clipped and professional.
Silas’s efficient voice came through the speaker. “She hit a wall with Adrian, just as you predicted. She pretended to be disheartened and returned to the Moore family estate. She hasn’t stepped out since.”
I narrowed my eyes, staring at the wall. “Keep watching her,” I ordered sternly. “I want twenty–four–hour surveillance on her location. Do not let any accidents happen to her.”
My grip on the phone tightened. “Especially, do not let her die. I need my biological mother alive to witness the show that is about to unfold.”
After handling a few urgent company matters, I drove straight back to the Stone Pack House ahead of schedule. Seraphina was in the kitchen, having just placed a handmade cake onto a serving cart. Seeing me return, her face lit up with a warm, maternal smile.
“Amelia, you’re back,” she greeted.
I didn’t have time for pleasantries, though I appreciated her warmth. “Mom, where is the thing you mentioned on the phone?” I asked directly.
Seraphina wiped her hands on her apron and went to her room. She returned a moment later with a brown paper package and handed it to me carefully.
I took the package, feeling its weight. “I can’t stay,” I told her apologetically. “I have to go out one more time. I will be back in over an hour to wash up and put on makeup. I promise I will be on time for the
banquet at eight.”
I returned to my car and locked the doors. Placing the package on the passenger seat, I tore it open. Inside was a fine, suspicious powder. As a Shadow Healer proficient in herbology, I was certainly not foolish enough to touch unknown substances with my bare skin.

I opened my portable medical kit and selected a vial of clear chemical reagent. Carefully, I dripped a
single drop onto the powder.
The reaction was instant. The powder turned a grotesque shade of pink under the influence of the reagent. A sickly sweet, cloying scent filled the car interior, smelling disgusting.
My eyes turned ice–cold instantly. Inside me, Ava let out a furious growl, loathing this kind of underhanded
filth. This was not some simple laxative to cause a stomach ache. This was a high–concentration, potent
aphrodisiac, commonly known as “Feral Dust.”
