Chapter 380: I Will Destroy Your Pack
Chapter 380: I Will Destroy Your Pack
(Author’s POV)
Matriarch Octavia stared at Amelia with eyes like frozen steel. The winter wind whipped around her, but she stood unmoving, a statue of ancient malice.
“You are a lost cause,” she spat.
She turned her back, leaning heavily on her cane as she shuffled back toward the safety of the Pack House. The heavy oak doors groaned shut behind her, sealing the verdict.
Amelia’s eyes narrowed. She knew that look. It was a silent command. The old woman had just given Griffin permission to take off the gloves.
The moment the Matriarch vanished, shadows detached themselves from the perimeter walls. A dozen elite warriors clad in black tactical gear surged forward. They moved with practiced silence, their boots crunching softly on the snow as they formed a tight, suffocating circle around Amelia and Natasha.
“Amelia!” Natasha gasped.
She scrambled behind Amelia, gripping the back of her coat with trembling fingers.
“They’re ambushing us! On their own land!” Natasha hissed, her eyes darting between the masked figures. “This is a violation of the Council treaties!”
Amelia reached back, patting Natasha’s hand calmly. Her pulse didn’t even quicken.
Inside her mind, her wolf, Ava, let out a low, vibrating growl.
*Runts,* Ava scoffed, pacing in the mental space. *They think numbers make them strong. They are
nothing but prey.*
Amelia didn’t flinch. She scanned the circle of warriors with a bored expression, noting their stances, their weapons, their fear. Her lips curled into a cold, mocking smile as she looked past them to Griffin.
“Really, Griffin?” she called out, her voice steady and projecting clearly over the wind. “Are you planning to commit murder in broad daylight? With the whole pack watching?”
Griffin didn’t answer immediately. He stalked through the line of guards, the warriors parting like the Red Sea to let their master through. His face was twisted in a mask of fury, his earlier humiliation fueling a dangerous fire.
He stopped right in front of her, using his height to loom over her.
“You did it,” he snarled, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper that only she could hear. “The drugs at Night City. The video leak this morning. It was you.”
Amelia shrugged, looking up at him without a flicker of fear.

“That sounds like a serious accusation,” she said lightly. “Do you have proof? Or is this just more slander?”
Griffin’s hands twitched at his sides. His eyes bore into hers, trying to find a crack in her armor.
“Who are you really?” he demanded, his voice rising. “No simple healer from the sticks has these kinds of resources. Who is backing you?”
Amelia laughed softly. “I told you. I’m just Adrian’s daughter. The one he threw away.”
She tilted her head, her sapphire eyes mocking him.
“Speaking of throwing people away, who is the Drake family going to sacrifice this time? Surely you have another scapegoat lined up to take the fall for your incompetence.”
Griffin snapped. The veins in his neck bulged as his control shattered.
“Die, you bitch!”
His hand moved in a blur. A switchblade appeared in his grip, the metal glinting with a dull, silver sheen. It
was coated in a viscous, greenish liquid. Poison.
He lunged, aiming the blade straight for her throat.
He was an Alpha heir. He was fast, strong, and prepared. He wore protective charms against wolfsbane.
He knew her tricks with silver needles. He was certain she couldn’t stop him at this range.
The blade was inches from her skin when Griffin’s world came to a screeching halt.
A thin, icy line of pain seared across his throat.
Amelia hadn’t stepped back. She had stepped in.
In her hand, a silver garrote wire was pulled taut, biting deep into the soft flesh of Griffin’s neck, right over
the jugular.
Griffin froze. His eyes bulged in terror.
He didn’t dare swallow. He didn’t dare breathe. One wrong move, one twitch, and the wire would slice
through his windpipe like butter.
“Let him go!” a guard roared, stepping forward with his baton raised.
“Stay back!” Griffin screamed, his voice a strangled squeak. “Don’t move! Anyone!”
He couldn’t believe her speed. He hadn’t even seen her move.
“You won’t do it,” Griffin rasped, sweat beading on his forehead despite the freezing cold. “You won’t kill an
Alpha heir in front of witnesses. The Council would hunt you down.”
Amelia chuckled. The sound was dark and devoid of humor.
“You’re right. I won’t kill you here.”
Griffin felt a flicker of relief, but it died instantly at her next words.

“But I can make you wish you were dead,” she whispered.
Amelia yanked the wire back, forcing his head up. At the same time, she drove her knee upward with devastating force
It slammed into his stomach, doubling him over, then continued upward to smash into his chin.
Griffin’s head snapped back. The wire released, and he went flying backward, crashing into the snow in a
heap.
“Get her! Now!” the captain of the guards shouted.
The warriors rushed in, confident in their numbers and their protective suits.
Amelia didn’t panic. She reached into her pocket and tossed a small, round object onto the frozen ground.
*Pop.*
A cloud of dense white gas exploded outward.
It wasn’t normal smoke. It was concentrated, weaponized wolfsbane.
The guards didn’t even have time to scream. They clawed at their throats, foaming at the mouth as they collapsed one by one, their limbs twitching uncontrollably.
Adrian, still kneeling near the gate, watched with his mouth hanging open. He stared at his daughter in
horror. This wasn’t a healer. This was a monster trained for war.
The gas dissipated quickly in the cold wind.
“Natasha,” Amelia said calmly, not looking back. “Go to the car. Lock the doors.”
Natasha nodded frantically, clutching her phone, and ran toward their vehicle.
Amelia walked over to where Griffin lay groaning in the snow. He tried to push himself up, blood dripping from his mouth onto the pristine white ground.
Amelia kicked his arm out from under him.
He fell face–first. Before he could recover, her boot slammed onto his chest, pinning him to the frozen earth. She pressed down, grinding her heel into his sternum.
*Rip his throat out,* Ava roared in her mind. *End him.*
Amelia ignored the wolf’s bloodlust. She looked down at Griffin like he was a bug she had stepped on.
“You thought you were clever,” she said coldly. “You planned to use Celine to drug the guests at the banquet. To ruin reputations. To create a scandal.”
She leaned forward, her eyes piercing him.
“I just gave you a taste of your own medicine.”
Griffin wheezed, pawing weakly at her boot.

“I destroyed Adrian,” Amelia said, her voice echoing in the silence of the courtyard. “Do you think the
Drake family is any different?”
She applied more pressure. Griffin gagged, his face turning purple.
“Carlos is already in custody,” she continued. “I don’t care who you pin the blame on next. It worlt matter.”
She lifted her boot and kicked him hard under the chin.
His head snapped back again, blood spraying across the white snow. He looked pathetic, broken.
“Because the next time I strike, there won’t be anything left to save.”
Griffin lay on his back, staring up at the grey winter sky. Pain radiated through every inch of his body. But worse than the pain was the fear.
He looked at Amelia’s sapphire eyes and saw an abyss. He realized then that he wasn’t dealing with a normal enemy. He was dealing with a predator far above his station.
“Please,” Griffin gurgled, spitting out a broken tooth.
His arrogance was gone. His pride was shattered.
“I… I yield,” he stammered, his swollen eyes pleading. “We will apologize. We will pay. Name your price.
Anything.”
“Anything?” Amelia repeated.
She let out a short, sharp laugh.
“Look at you,” she sneered. “The mighty Alpha heir, begging in the dirt.”
Griffin tried to reach for her leg, a gesture of absolute submission. “Please. Just leave the Pack out of this.
I promise, we won’t touch you again. We’ll give you shares, land, whatever you want.”
Amelia looked at his trembling hand and stepped back, shaking her head slowly.
“Too late,” she said.
Her expression hardened into stone.
“If your family had just stuck to smuggling or money laundering, maybe I would have looked the other way. Maybe I would have let you keep your little kingdom.”
She leaned down, her voice dropping to a terrifying whisper that chilled him more than the snow.
“But you crossed a line. You used ‘The Hag‘. You trafficked people. You sold them like cattle right here in
our country.”
Griffin’s eyes widened in shock. She knew. She knew about the deepest, darkest secret of the Drake family.
Amelia straightened up, towering over him like an executioner delivering a death sentence.
“So,” she said. “I will burn the Drake Pack to the ground.”
