Jade’s eyes were red. She glared at the man pinning her down.

“You still have the nerve to ask me what I mean?” she retorted. “I know everything that happened at Night
City.”
She pushed his chest. “You slept with Celine, didn’t you!”
Griffin’s heart jolted with shock. Realization crossed his eyes.
His muscles relaxed, and his chaotic emotions calmed down.
“So you didn’t answer my calls because of this?” Griffin asked. “Not because the Drake Pack suffered a
defeat from Amelia?”
He stared at her face. “I thought you were abandoning me.”
Jade let out a harsh sneer. Her face twisted in disgust.
“Is your affair with Celine not serious enough?” she spat back.
Griffin stared coldly. An arrogant laugh rumbled from his throat.
“…Important,” he murmured, his lips curling into a wicked smirk. “Of course it’s important.”
He released her wrist. His tone shifted to absolute contempt.
He looked down at her. “What will it take for you to calm down?”
He brushed a lock of hair from her cheek. “Do you want me to get rid of that woman?”
Jade felt a chill run down her spine, forcing herself to remain calm.
“You have disappointed me completely, Griffin,” she said. “We have no future together.”
Griffin found her declaration ridiculous. He forcefully pinched her chin.
His fingers dug into her skin. “With my status, I could sleep with ten women.”
He sneered. “You should endure it and accept your place.”
He tightened his grip. “Since our engagement, I haven’t touched anyone else.”
“You should be content with that,” he demanded softly.
Jade sneered in her heart. If she loved Griffin, perhaps she would feel a twisted contentment.
But she had never liked this cruel man. She only agreed to this alliance for one reason.

She needed Griffin’s power to eliminate her father’s illegitimate son, Hugh.
Now that Amelia had dealt with Hugh, Jade had no reason to continue acting.

However, she kept her true thoughts hidden. “Because I care about you, I cannot tolerate betrayal.”
Griffin narrowed his eyes, pressing his heavy body closer to hers.
“Tell me the truth, Jade,” he demanded. “Are you disgusted that the Drake Pack is collapsing?”
He scrutinized her expression. “Or do you really mind that worthless woman?”
Jade decided to play along, wanting him to believe she was kicking him while he was down.
She turned her face away, her silence speaking volumes of her disdain.
Griffin was enraged by her silent rejection. His inner wolf roared with fury.
He leaned down and crushed his lips against hers in a brutal kiss.
Jade fought back instantly, biting down hard on his bottom lip, tasting blood.
Griffin hissed in pain and pulled back. His expression morphed into rage.
He grabbed her hair and slammed the back of her head against the sofa.
“Listen carefully,” he threatened viciously. “Only when I am tired of playing with you, can you leave.”
He leaned in close. “Otherwise, you are mine for the rest of your life.”
Griffin released her and stormed across the room, angrily slamming the door shut behind him.
After Griffin left, the door opened again. Arthur hurried into the office.
He looked at his disheveled daughter. “You shouldn’t have offended Griffin at a time like this!”
Arthur paced nervously. “I am terrified he will destroy Gale Entertainment in anger!”
Jade sat up and smoothed her hair. She let out a cold laugh.
She took out her phone. Without hesitation, she posted a public statement breaking her engagement with
Griffin.
She looked up at her panicking father. “You have poor judgment, Father.”
“The Drake Pack is on its last legs,” she stated coldly. “If you tie your fate to theirs, you will go down with
them.”
Arthur stared at her in shock, unable to comprehend her sudden boldness.
Jade stood up and straightened her clothes. “I have a proposal for you.”
“If you sell your Gale Entertainment shares to me at a low price, I can save the company.”
She looked him in the eye. “I can keep us from going bankrupt.”

She turned and walked purposefully toward the office door.
Before stepping out, she paused. “Don’t contact me again, unless it is about transferring those shares.”
Jade walked out of the building and got into her car. A wave of relief washed over her.
She knew Griffin must be panicking, and her father was losing his mind.
As long as Amelia applied pressure, her father would have no choice.
Once the new show aired and defeated Gale Entertainment, Arthur would be cornered.
To save himself, he would sell his shares to her at a low price.
When that day came, she would fulfill her ultimate promise to Amelia.
(Theodore’s POV)
I sat quietly in my office, having just finished a virtual meeting.
My phone vibrated softly on the desk. I picked it up and saw a new message from my brother, Jasper.
He had sent over Uncle M’s medical examination report.
I quickly scanned the detailed document, noting the various old injuries.
[I will personally arrange Uncle M’s onboarding procedures tomorrow,] I typed back quickly.
Jasper’s reply popped up on my screen. He expressed his deep gratitude.
He also thanked me for giving him the opportunity to attend Amelia’s birthday banquet.
Because of that invitation, he was finally able to see our grandfather, Gideon, from afar.
Jasper admitted he was not mentally prepared to formally reunite with the old man just yet. He only dared to take a secret peek.
Another message followed closely behind, carrying a tone of genuine concern.
[Are you sure giving the Crimson Moon Pack’s assets to Amelia as a gift won’t anger Grandfather?]
I stared at the screen for a second. Then, I typed out a single sentence.
[Grandfather’s opinion is not important.]
I put my phone down and leaned back. I knew exactly what Jasper was truly worried about.
