Chapter 92: Ronan’s Submission

Chapter 92: Ronan’s Submission

(Amelia’s POV)

I climbed along the building’s outer structure and landed lightly on my room’s balcony. Then I slipped back inside through the window.

Ethan’s terrified roar still echoed in my ears. But I had already escaped through the window before he could react.

The moment my feet touched the ground, the hospital room door was pushed open violently. I instinctively tensed my muscles and turned around in a defensive stance. My eyes flashed with dangerous coldness.

But when I saw it was Theodore entering instead of Adrian or Livia, my tense nerves relaxed instantly.

I slowly lay back on the hospital bed and adjusted to a comfortable position. Theodore controlled his wheelchair and slid to the bedside. We naturally exchanged glances.

Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?Theodore asked.

I shook my head. How’s your leg injury?

*Ava purred with delight in my mind: It’s our mate. He’s worried about us.* I soothed the enthusiastic wolf in my heart. The corner. of my mouth unconsciously curved upward.

Theodore gestured for Marcus to guard outside. Then he closed the door.

He turned his wheelchair around. His eyes carried a hint of playfulness as he asked directly, Did you sneak out again to cause trouble?

I admitted it openly. Not only did I feel no guilt, I even smiled and teased him about being too

perceptive.

Theodore chuckled softly. If necessary, I’ll cooperate and play dumb,

I looked at him and sighed. Sometimes knowing too much isn’t a good thing. Then I changed my tone. My gaze became gentle. But I prefer smart men.

I mentioned Damien, my former mate who had rejected me. I admitted that Damien and I were destined to fail from the beginning. Damien valued pack status and vanity. But I needed

a connection of souls.

Looking at Theodore before me, I realized I now treasured this Alpha who could fight alongside me intellectually and strategically.

I lowered my voice and told Theodore I had just visited Caleb.

Theodore raised an eyebrow slightly. He knew the doctors had already determined Caleb might never wake up.

A fierce gleam flashed in my eyes as I revealed the truth. I just used a silver needle to stimulate Caleb’s cerebral cortex.

This won’t make him recover. Instead, it will trap him in a nightmare called lockedin syndrome. His consciousness will be completely awake. His hearing and touch will be even more sensitive than usual. But his body will be unable to move like stone.

My voice was calm to a terrifying degree. I want him to lie there and clearly hear how Ethan and others betray him for profit. I want him to hear firsthand how cold his parents are.

Since he loves being used by Celine so much, he should bear the pain of being abandoned after being used.

Revenge wasn’t just physical destruction. It was mental torture.

The room fell into brief silence.

Theodore reached out and held my hand. His gaze was firm and deep. Having you is enough for me, Amelia.

I raised an eyebrow and jokingly asked if he wasn’t afraid I’d stab him in the back too.

Theodore answered decisively that he trusted me completely.

I smiled and moved closer to Theodore. My fingers gently traced his welldefined jawline. I whispered, This face is truly too charming.

Just as the distance between us shortened and my lips were about to touch his, the hospital room door was suddenly pushed open.

Marcus peeked in somewhat frantically. Seeing this scene, he froze instantly.

I stopped my movement and sighed with regret. Theodore helplessly adjusted his collar and

pushed his wheelchair toward the door.

Marcus nodded apologetically to me before the door closed. Then he carefully retreated.

Claim

(Theodore’s POV)

I returned to my VIP hospital room. Marcus helped me move from the wheelchair back to the hospital bed.

Theron and Ronan were already waiting inside. As soon as they saw me enter, Ronan, who had been sitting, immediately stood up.

His attitude had completely changed one hundred eighty degrees. He lowered his head and avoided my gaze. He exposed his neck this was the werewolf gesture of submission.

He obediently called out, Brother.

At this moment he looked like a defeated dog with its tail between its legs. He had completely lost his previous arrogant attitude.

Father Theron still maintained a stern face. He kept his elder’s dignity and coldly watched everything.

I leaned against the headboard. My eyes coldly swept over these two people. I asked indifferently, How did yesterday’s assignments go?

Ronan nodded vigorously. He eagerly tried to claim credit. Everything’s done. All the core members I drove away before have been invited back. The pack’s business projects have restarted.

The corner of my mouth curved into a smile without warmth. But my eyes were icecold. *Logan growled with disdain in the depths of my consciousness: Hypocritical submission.* I warned coldly, Remember this lesson, Ronan. Next time, don’t take it upon yourself to play political games you can’t handle without my orders.

I understand,” Ronan said with his head lowered. His voice sounded fearful and anxious.

After a pause, he changed to a concerned tone. He said carefully, This car accident was really dangerous. It’s fortunate you’re safe and sound.

I let out a sneer. That laugh was full of sarcasm. Yes, fortunate. Otherwise, you and father would probably be opening champagne to celebrate right now, wouldn’t you?
