Chapter 94: I Don’t Need You to Bear My Pups

Chapter 94: I Don’t Need You to Bear My Pups

(Caleb’s POV)

Claim

The cold liquid pushed through my veins. A numbing sensation swept through my entire body like countless icy snakes crawling through my blood vessels.

My wolf Finn, who had started gradually awakening yesterday, let out one final angry but powerless roar from deep in my consciousness. Then some dark force forcibly suppressed him back into dormancy.

I tried to struggle. I tried to scream. But my body had completely betrayed me. My muscles were rigid as stone. My eyelids were too heavy to blink. I could only maintain the position from that last moment.

But I didn’t lose consciousness. Instead, my hearing became even more acute.

I heard Celine throw the syringe into her designer bag. The sound of metal hitting leather was clear.

Then Celine made a phone call. She pressed the speaker button and tossed her phone on the bedside table to free her hands to smooth her wrinkled skirt.

Remember to deal with that person investigating my background. Make it clean, she said.

A middleaged man’s crude and flattering.voice came through the speaker. Daughter, don’t worry.

The rogue

I found this time is absolutely professional. Guaranteed success.

That word daughterstruck like thunder in my mind.

Celine immediately snapped in disgust. Shut up! How many times have I told you not to call me daughter!

The man quickly corrected himself, humbly addressing her as Miss Celine.

Celine ordered impatiently, Someone will transfer two hundred thousand to you tomorrow.

After hanging up, Celine walked to the bedside. She looked down at me, unable to move. Her fingers traced my cheek. Her nails were sharp like she was testing if her prey was dead.

She let out a contemptuous cold laugh. You’re so useless. You couldn’t even handle that b***h Amelia. Now I have to do it myself.”

I heard every word clearly. Rage burned in my blood but had nowhere to vent.

Claim

This sister I had cherished for twenty years. Even knowing she was a fake, I never despised her. But what about her? She not only wanted to kill my real sister. She even wanted to poison me.

She was a terrible witch.

I swore to the Moon Goddess in my heart. If I could regain control of my body, I would never spare this cuckoo who had occupied the nest.

(Amelia’s POV)

In my hospital room, I was preparing to rest. I habitually opened the remote monitoring system for my room. I spoke softly into the microphone.

On the screen, my three little snakes poked their heads out from the shadows. They flicked their tongues in response to their master’s call.

I told them through the audio that I couldn’t return tonight. I instructed them to hunt at the forest edge on their own.

Watching my pets disappear into the night on the big screen, I turned off the monitoring.

Just then, my phone screen lit up on the bedside table. It was a message from Damien.

I frowned and clicked it open. The content was so absurd it made me feel sick.

Amelia, it’s okay if you don’t want to have pups. I can still mark you. I don’t need you to bear my offspring. As an Alpha, I’ll find other shewolves outside to serve as breeding tools. But only you will have the Luna title. Those women responsible for breeding don’t deserve it.

I looked at the screen. A cold smile curved my lips.

*My wolf Ava snorted in disgust: Does this arrogant fool think the Luna title is a crown he bestows? He doesn’t even understand basic rules like a wild dog in the forest.*

I quickly typed back: After returning to Blackwood Pack, was your brain poisoned by wolfsbane?

Damien replied almost instantly: Are you concerned about me? I’m so happy!

I rolled my eyes and patiently asked: Why do you insist on pestering me?

Damien replied: Because when I was just a lowranking warrior with nothing, you didn’t despise me. Now I’ll never meet another woman like you.

I typed coldly: Even if the injured one had been a rogue, I would have saved them. This is just a healer’s instinct. Don’t flatter yourself.

After sending this message, I put my phone on silent and pulled up the covers to sleep.

(Amelia’s POV)

The next morning when I woke up, I saw Damien’s last message sent after I fell asleep: I won’t give up! That Theodore you’re marrying is a cripple. They say his wolf disappeared and he can’t complete the sacred Mating Ceremony. Are you going to marry him and live as a widow?

I felt this man had gone completely insane. I simply deleted the message.

Soon after, there was a gentle knock on the hospital room door. Jaxon and Seraphina walked in with breakfast. The air filled with the aroma of hot coffee and fresh sandwiches.

Jaxon told me the doctor confirmed my injuries were healing remarkably well. I could be discharged after two days of observation.

While drinking coffee, I asked about Caleb’s condition.

Jaxon frowned with a serious expression. Caleb is still in a deep coma. All his indicators are normal but he just won’t wake up. The cause is unknown.

He lowered his voice to warn me. Adrian and Livia will definitely cause trouble over Caleb’s situation. Don’t pay attention to them. As.family elders, Seraphina and I will stand in front.

Just as he finished speaking, the hospital room door was violently pushed open. It crashed against the wall with a loud bang.

Livia burst in with disheveled hair and bloodshot eyes. She looked like a madwoman who had lost all reason.

She rushed straight toward the bed, pointing at me and screaming: You evil woman! Why did you harm my son!

Jaxon immediately put down his cup. He stood in front of me like an immovable mountain,

Livia cried and tried to get around Jaxon. If it weren’t for you, how would Caleb almost die! You harmed him!

Jaxon responded coldly: That was an accident. The surveillance footage already proved Caleb cut the brake lines himself. Your screaming here won’t change the facts.

Livia roared in fury, losing all the elegance and dignity she always maintained: You never had your own pups! You don’t understand a parent’s pain! Amelia is just jealous! She’s jealous of Caleb and Celine’s relationship! She wanted to kill Caleb!
