The hospital room door burst open again. Alaric and Adrian walked in, and the air instantly became tense, like the calm before a storm.

Adrian’s sharp eyes locked onto Amelia lying in the hospital bed the moment he entered. His gaze was filled with undisguised killing intent, as if he would tear his own biological daughter apart if others weren’t present.

Celine and Ethan followed closely behind. Both their faces were terrifyingly dark.

Celine shouted, “It’s Amelia who harmed Caleb!” The hatred in her eyes was almost

overflowing.

Ethan knew the truth. Caleb had planned to harm Amelia but ended up hurting himself instead. What worried Ethan more was the emergency treatment Amelia had performed on Caleb yesterday. He wasn’t sure if this so–called “healer” had left any hidden dangers during that process. This game was far from over.

Amelia slowly swallowed the last bite of her sandwich. She wiped the corners of her mouth with a napkin and coldly surveyed everyone in the room. Except for Aunt Lyra, almost all the

core members were here.

Facing a room full of hostility, she showed no panic.

Alaric sat down on the sofa with Adrian’s support. His sharp gaze turned to Livia Stone and questioned, “If Amelia really wanted to harm Caleb, why would she risk her own life? It

doesn’t make sense.”

Livia retorted excitedly, her voice shrill: “This is too much of a coincidence! My son is now lying in bed, life and death uncertain. I must seek justice for him! If the Pack can’t handle this fairly, I’ll go to the Alpha King. If that doesn’t work, I’ll call the police and let human cops investigate!”

Adrian immediately agreed. He demanded that his father make a fair judgment and not favor Jaxon’s family like in the past.

Alaric knew this incident was serious since it involved the life and death of direct bloodline.

Amelia calmly met her grandfather’s gaze. Her tone was flat: “My car’s brakes suddenly failed. I couldn’t slow down while driving at high speed. I could only force the car to stop by running out of fuel.”

As soon as these words came out, Ethan’s face instantly turned pale. If the brake failure was real, then the person who tampered with it was most likely Caleb himself. He began to feel panicked, worried that traces left by Caleb would implicate him.

car.

Amelia coldly asked back, “Then you should ask your good son why someone tampered with my brakes.”

This sentence exploded like a bomb in the hospital room.

Livia was furious. She pointed at Amelia and cursed, “You dare slander him while Caleb is unconscious!”

Amelia let out a cold laugh: “What the truth really is, Caleb and Celine know best in their hearts.”

Celine immediately jumped out. She brought up yesterday’s conflict at the restaurant again, claiming Amelia had already threatened to destroy their family and was now just using this opportunity to frame them.

Livia took the opportunity to pressure Alaric. If he didn’t severely punish Amelia, she would

never let it go.

Alaric suddenly struck the floor with his cane, stopping Livia’s tantrum: “Enough!”

He said in a deep voice that the butler had already obtained the vehicle inspection report and road surveillance video. The report showed that the brake lines of Amelia’s car had indeed been cut by someone. Celine stepped forward. “Maybe you cut them yourself! To frame us!”

Amelia looked at her with amusement. “And risk my own life? How does that benefit me?”

“Because you’re crazy!” Celine shouted. “You’ve been jealous of us since the day you came back!”

Ethan remained silent. His mind was racing. If Caleb had really tampered with Amelia’s car, there might be evidence. Security cameras. Fingerprints. Witnesses.

He needed to think fast.

Adrian spoke up. “Father, we need a thorough investigation. If Amelia is telling the truth…”

“If I’m telling the truth, then your son tried to murder me,” Amelia finished. “And failed.”

The room fell silent.

Alaric’s voice cut through the tension: “The investigation will continue. But right now, we have facts. Amelia’s brakes were cut. She nearly died. Caleb is unconscious after the collision.”

Livia started crying. “My poor boy! He’s innocent!”

“Is he?” Amelia asked quietly.

“Amelia,” Jaxon warned quietly.

But Amelia ignored him. She sat up straighter in bed, her blue eyes blazing.

“You’re pathetic,” she said to Adrian. “You favor a fake daughter over your real one. You’re weak. Easily manipulated. A poor excuse for an Alpha.”

Adrian lunged forward, but Jaxon blocked him.

Amelia turned to Livia. “And you. You’re so desperate to protect your precious fake daughter that you’ll sacrifice your real one. What kind of mother are you?”

“Stop!” Livia screamed.

“The truth hurts, doesn’t it?” Amelia continued. “You both know Celine isn’t your blood. But you keep pretending because it’s easier than admitting you were fooled for twenty years.”

Celine’s face went white. “Shut up!”

“Make me,” Amelia challenged.

The room erupted in chaos. Adrian was shouting. Livia was crying. Celine was screaming denials.

But Amelia remained calm in the center of the storm. She had torn away the false mask of family affection and officially declared the beginning of her counterattack against Adrian’s family.

Alaric struck his cane again. “SILENCE!”
