Alpha's Discarded Luna (Talia) novel Chapter 121

Chapter 118

Talia’s POV

Robin fidgets on the bench beside me, his small hands twisting together as he gathers his thoughts.

The colorful lights of the amusement park continue to flash around us, but the joy has completely drained from the afternoon.

Ms. Perseus,he begins carefully, when we were on the Ferris wheel, I saw a boy following us for quite some time. He was staying behind poles and in the crowd, but I noticed him. I thought it looked like Aeşonbut then I told myself it couldn’t32

Go on, Robin. You don’t have to be scared of anything! You’re a Capaldi.

He nods eagerly and picks up pace.

I saw a tall man walk up to him. They talked for a little while, and then the man put his hand on Aeson’s shoulder and they walked away together. The last glimpse I caught was them heading toward the parking area.

My heart lurches violently in my chest. A sharp pain spreads through me as the realization sinks in.

How could I have missed my own son? He was right there, abandoned in the crowd. Tears prick at the corners of my eyes, but2

I force them back. There isn’t time for

this.

Just then, my phone rings again. Aires’s name lights up the screen. My stomach twists. I don’t want to answer, but just the thought that maybe he has new information that could help, wins over my reluctance.

Aires?

I say, trying to keep my voice steady.

Why the hell was Aeson seen at the same amusement park where you are right

now?

He demands immediately, his tone,

accusatory and harsh. He was supposed to be under the care of a trusted guardian! Explain yourself, Talia!

I understand instantly. The socalled trusted guardianis Imema, and once again, Aires is shielding her while pointing fingers at me.

Mr. Perseus.I let every ounce of disgust and exhaustion I feel drip into my voice. You should be asking your dear friend that question. Not me. If you’re only calling to interrogate and blame me again,

then don’t bother.

His voice drops dangerously low, sending a chill down my spine. Stay exactly where you are, Talia. If you try to leave with 14:32

I was actually considering searching for Aeson with everything I had. Despite all the pain, the rejection, and the broken bond, he is still my son. But that commanding, arrogant, youwillobeyme tone makes something inside me finally

snap.

Mr. Perseus. My voice turns sweet like poisoned honey, cold and sharp. You always told me to show proper respect when asking for favors. Remember?

Asking for favors? You think I’m asking?

he snarls.

Are you ordering me?I cut him off before he can continue. Who do you think you are? Why on earth would I follow your orders? Aires, you need to remember your place. I’m not your servant anymore. I’m not some maid you can command and dismiss whenever you

like.

I hang up without waiting for his reply, my chest heaving with anger and hurt.

Raymond stands up immediately, his expression serious. We’re wasting time. Let’s move.

We rush together toward the amusement park’s main security office. Raymond speaks calmly but firmly with the

manager, slipping a generous tip across

the counter.

After some hesitation, they allow us into a back room with multiple camera feeds. We review the exit gate footage and then the parking lot CCTV. After scanning through several minutes, we finally spot it a boy in a yellow shirt being led toward a darkcolored car. The license plate is clearly visible.

Raymond quickly calls one of his contacts in the traffic police department. The minutes stretch painfully as we wait. Finally, he gets the information. An old warehouse on the outskirts, in the industrial zone. That’s the car’s last known location.

We don’t hesitate. Raymond drives like the wind, the city lights blurring into streaks as we speed toward the destination. My heart pounds with fear and determination. When we finally arrive at the isolated warehouse, the facility is heavily guarded. Several armedlooking men patrol the perimeter, and lights are on in one of the inner sections. My stomach drops. Aeson is almost certainly inside.

Aeson’s POV

Everything feels heavy and fuzzy when I slowly wake up, blinking until the lights stop hurting my eyes.

My head throbs, and there is something bitter in my mouth, like I’ve swallowed

one of the horrible medicines.

I’m sitting on a cold, rusty metal chair in a dimly lit room that smells of dust and oil. My hands are tied tightly behind my back with rough ropes that cut into my wrists, making them hurt.

The man who tricked me at the amusement park notices I’m awake and smirks, his face twisting cruelly in the low light. Oh, so the little brat is finally

awake!

I glare at him through the haze, anger cutting through the dizziness and fear. How dare you! Do you know who my dad

is? He’s Alpha Aires Perseus! When he finds out what you’ve done, he’ll—

Shut up, you spoiled bastard!the man snarls and slaps me hard across the face.

My head snaps to the side, sending sharp pain exploding through my cheek. It goes numb almost instantly, and tears sting painfully in my eyes.

More men step into the room, laughing as they surround me. They manhandle me roughly, shoving my shoulders and pulling at my clothes while throwing curses. Think you’re so special just because you’re some big Alpha’s son? Look at you now, crying like a pathetic little puppy.Rich kids are all the same :33

soft and useless.

I struggle hard against the ropes, twisting my wrists desperately, but they’re too tight. That’s when I notice it they left my watch on my wrist, dismissing it as a cheap plastic toy for children. Hope surges through me. There’s a hidden sensor button on the side. If I press it, it will immediately send my exact location to Dad.

I stop fighting. I hang my head low, letting my shoulders shake as I pretend to cry harder.

The men laugh louder, mocking my weakness. When I’m sure that no one is

looking, I subtly move my fingers behind 33

my back and press the button firmly on

the watch.

Please, Dadfind me. I’m scared.
