Chapter 120
Aires‘ POV
Bruno and I arrive at the old warehouse
with a full team, tires screeching to a halt. The moment we step out, something feels
wrong.
The guards outside are already subdued
some unconscious, others tied up or groaning on the ground. Gunshots have clearly been fired recently, as the tang of gunpowder is still in the air.
“Alpha…” Bruno mutters, gun drawn. “This doesn’t look right.”
We move in slowly, weapons ready,

stepping carefully through the broken entrance. The metallic smell of blood and
gunpowder hangs heavy in the air. My wolf is restless, but I keep him subdued.
As we approach the inner section, I hear shouting and a struggle.
We reach a vantage point just in time to see the nightmare, and I freeze at the doorway.
One of the last kidnappers has a gun pressed directly to Aeson’s head. My son looks terrified, bruised, and pale. My blood turns to ice.
Bruno’s voice is low and urgent beside me “Alpha, we move at your command 4:34
Chapter 120
Just say the word and we take the shot.”
But I am frozen in shock, because Talia is already there.
She, Raymond, and two of his bodyguards are in the middle of the rescue. Raymond moves like a trained fighter; disarming one man with brutal precision while his guards take down the others.
Just then, Robin, that boy Talia has been taking care of, suddenly breaks free and throws himself forward.
“Leave him alone!”
The kidnapper swings at Aeson. Robin takes the blow meant for my son, crashing

hard to the floor. Talia lets out a scream and tackles the man with raw fury, punching and clawing until Raymond finishes him off.
The last kidnapper is quickly neutralized, and the sight in front of my eyes leaves me completely stunned.
Talia drops to her knees and gathers Robin into her arms, crying as the boy passes out. Raymond gently takes the injured Robin from Talia’s arms so she
can rush to Aeson.
She drops to her knees beside our son, her hands frantically checking him for injuries, tears streaming down her face. The tenderness and desperation in her

voice as she whispers to him slices through my heart.
I was wrong!
All this time I had accused her, cursed her, threatened her, while she was the one actually risking everything to save our son. And that Capaldi was the one fighting beside her, not me.
I watch it all in silence, unable to move.
Bruno whispers, “Alpha…? Should we retreat, I’ll ask the men to round up the
criminals…”
But I can’t speak. My eyes are glued to Talia’s back… she came here, fought for 4:34

our son. She risked her life, and that Raymond was right beside her, protecting both children like a father when it should
have been me instead.
I want to step forward. I want to call her name, to apologize, to pull her into my arms and tell her I’ll fix everything. I want to win her back, to tell her that I still—
But Raymond gets there first.
He kneels beside her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder, speaking softly as he helps support Aeson. Talia leans into his touch for a brief moment, and something painful clenches in my chest.
Jealousy and regret burn through me a$44

watch them together, turning me to a pile
of ashes.
I watch them from the shadows, chest tightening with jealousy and deep, aching pain. My wolf howls inside me, but I turn away, commanding my men to follow the ambulance.
Talia’s POV
The hospital waiting room is bright, sterile, and painfully cold. I stand near the entrance, arms wrapped around myself, staring at the doors where they took
Robin and Aeson for examinations.
Aires is already here, standing with a despondent look in his eyes, but he says:34

nothing to me. Diana and Athena form a united front beside him, glaring at me like I’m the enemy.
The moment Diana spots me, her face twists with pure fury. “Talia!” She storms forward, eyes blazing with tears. “You tried to kidnap my grandson! I’m calling the police right now!”
I barely react. “Call them, then.”
“Don’t think I won’t!” Her hands shake as she jabs at her phone. “A few days in jail will teach you, you horrible, ungrateful woman!”
“M–Mother, wait!” Athena tries to
intervene weakly. “Talia probably just 14:34

missed Aeson. She didn’t mean any harm

“If I don’t teach her a lesson now, who
knows what she’ll do next!”
Diana snaps, shaking Athena off.
Before I can respond, Imema steps forward from the corner, eyes red and swollen, crying like a tragic heroine.
“Luna Talia… if you were missing Aeson so much, why didn’t you come by? We are not as evil as you’re making us out to be!”
Her voice cracks. “But you lured him away when he was with me, didn’t you think how badly it will impact poor Aeson. He is

still young, his mind is sensitive…”
She shakes her head in sympathy, feeling more pitiful for my son than me.
“Not to mention, you have damaged my credibility forever! I’ll never trust myself enough to take Aeson anywhere alone again. Think about it, do you really have so much ego to come to Alpha directly and request to meet Aeson, that you preferred to scar him forever?”
Her words are sharp yet innocent, expertly framed to paint me as the villain. I open my mouth to respond, but Diana cuts me off viciously.
“You selfish bitch!” Diana spits. “You 14:34

abandoned him for months, played house with another family, and now you drag my grandson into danger? You should be ashamed to even call yourself a mother!”
Imema sobs louder. “I tried so hard to
take care of him… but…”
I roll my eyes and step away to find Raymond and the doctor he’s been speaking with, not willing to waste even an ounce of my energy on this
melodrama.
୮
Hours later, after both children are stabilized, a police officer approaches me.
“Ms. Perseus? We’ve received a report alleging child abduction. You need to. 14:34

come with us.”
Diana smirks smugly from across the room, while Athena looks uncomfortable but stays silent.
“What’s wrong? Scared now? Too late for that. You can do all your thinking behind bars. What good is being a piano virtuoso with a criminal record? No one will want anything to do with you.”
Instead of replying, I look straight át Aires. “She’s senile and impulsive, but you? You let her do this. You could have stopped her.”
Aires’s jaw tightens. “I thought she was bluffing. I didn’t think she’d actually-”

“Mom.” He steps forward, finally finding his voice. “Why did you call the police? This is-”
“Stay out of it, Aires!” Diana snaps. “She needs to learn there are consequences!”
“She’s too stupid to realize how stupid she is.” I turn back to the officer, my voice
calm and clear.
“Officer, there’s been a misunderstanding. This child ran away from his guardians‘ car, I didn’t kidnap him. And more importantly, he is my son. What mother needs to kidnap her own child?”
The officer blinks. “Wait, you’re the boy’s

mother?”
“Yes.”
“Biological mother?”
“Yes.”
He frowns, skeptical. “May I see your identification, please?”
I hand over my ID without hesitation. He scans it, checks the database, and then gives Diana a strange look.
“Ma’am, this woman is the child’s biological mother. They’re still married. She has every right to take her child anywhere. There’s no kidnapping here.“4:34

Diana sputters. “They’re getting divorced! She took him without permission! She
must have evil intentions! And look-
after she took him, he ended up in the hospital! She probably handed her to those dangerous criminals-”
The officer’s patience visibly thins. “Ma’am, everything you’ve said is speculation. Speculation isn’t evidence. If you have concrete proof of child abuse, present it. Otherwise, I can’t help you.”
Aires finally intervenes, stepping between us. “Mom, Aeson’s alone in his room. Go
check on him with Athena.”
Diana glares at me, furious and

frustrated, but she knows she’s lost this
round. She storms off toward Aeson’s
room, Athena trailing behind.
But I’m not done.
“Wait.”
