Chapter 260
Aires‘ POV
I purse my lips and remain silent, staring out the car window at the city rushing past. The buildings blur together, gray and glass
and steel.
All I know is that Imema finally found a studio she really liked. After weeks of searching, after rejecting dozens of properties, she walked into that space and said it was perfect. But coincidentally, it turned out to be Talia’s.
My compensation amount is already quite generous. Twenty million dollars is not a small sum. Most people would take it and walk away without looking back.
But for Rafael Kingston, those twenty million are really not a problem. After all, the concert is about to take place, and twenty million is nothing compared to what they stand to earn.
In fact, I originally planned to give Talia fifty million dollars in compensation. Regardless of anything else, she is my ex–wife and also Aeson’s mother. I am not that petty.
As long as Talia is willing to say a few kind words, money is not a problem at all. I would have paid whatever she asked. I would have made sure she was taken care of.

Unfortunately, Talia is too stubborn. She refuses to back down. She meets every offer with a wall of ice, every compromise with a flat refusal.
Lately, the negotiations between us have been ending only in discord, and the issue of the studio remains unresolved.
Later, Talia discovered my affair with Imema, and the two of us basically have no chance of having a proper negotiation. Every conversation becomes a battlefield. Every word becomes a
weapon.
And as the last nail in my coffin, it turns out that Solaris is actually Talia.
I lean my head back against the seat and close my eyes.
Even Bruno feels a headache coming on. I hear him shift in the driver’s seat, his fingers tapping against the steering wheel.
While driving, Bruno asks, “Since Ms. Johnson is Solaris, I do not think she will be willing to compose for Miss Volkov.” He glances at me in the rearview mirror. “Should we find another composer?”
My thin lips move slightly. “Solaris…” I repeat the name, letting it roll off my tongue. The dark eyes are unfathomable, lost in
thought.

Bruno waits for a long time but does not get a reply from me. He speaks again, more hesitant this time, “Alpha Aires, what do you think… we should find a different composer for Miss Volkov?”
“No need.” I snap out of my reverie, my voice full of certainty. I open my eyes and stare straight ahead. “She will agree.”
Bruno says nothing, and the car rolls on.

I don’t know how I will make her agree, I don’t know what it will cost. But I know Talia. I know her weaknesses, her pressures,
her fears.
And I know that eventually, she will have no choice.
Talia’s POV

After a sleepless night, I wake up early to drop Robin off at kindergarten. He waves goodbye to me from the classroom door, his small hand fluttering. I am walking back to my car, when my phone rings.
Electra’s name flashes across the screen.
I answer, and her voice comes through, sharp and urgent. “Talia, have you seen the news? Rafael is trending on social
media!”

the main road, my eyes on the traffic ahead as I speak. “What’s wrong with Rafael?”
“Someone has exposed his dirty secrets.” Electra’s voice is tense, controlled. “I am currently doing emergency PR for him, but it is not too effective. The other party has some so–called solid evidence in their hands.”
She takes a breath. “Judging from their demeanor, they are just waiting for the hype to reach its peak before unleashing everything at once.”
My grip tightens on the steering wheel.
Rafael is a public figure who has become famous beyond his circle. Because of his outstanding looks and exceptional musical talent, he is loved by many girls. They plaster his posters on their walls, scream his name at concerts and enthusiastically follow his every move on social media.
Today, although his fame cannot compare to that of top celebrities in the entertainment industry worldwide, he is still considered as a top–tier celebrity in the country. His face appears on magazine covers, his music plays on every platform.
“Where is Rafael right now?” I ask, my voice calm despite the storm brewing inside me.
Elostra says, “I told him to stay in the apartment and got gooutz

His commercial performances and photoshoots today have all been canceled.”
I turn the steering wheel around, heading in the opposite direction. “I will go take a look.”
“Be careful,” Electra warns. “The paparazzi are everywhere. If they see you walking into his building, they will make assumptions.”
“I know.” I press the accelerator. “I will be careful.”
The city scrolls past my windows as I delve into my thoughts. Rafael has always been private. He does not court controversy, nor does he invite scandal. Someone is targeting him deliberately, and I need to find out who.
The traffic light turns red. I stop and wait.
My mind races through possibilities. Competitors? Jealous rivals? Someone with a grudge?
Or perhaps, could this be connected to me…?
