Talia’s POV

I park my car hastily on the side of the riverbank road, not bothering to find a proper spot. The tires scrape against the curb, but I do not care. My eyes are fixed on the crowd gathered outside Rafael’s apartment building.

I follow everyone’s gaze and look into the center of the crowd.

My heart stops.
