“Change out of that,” he ordered. “It’s too formal for the resort
atmosphere.”
Irritation flared in my chest. “I didn’t bring anything else. This is a
business event. What’s wrong with looking professional?”
What next? A collar with his name on it?
Drake’s eyes turned cold. “If you’re presenting as my wife, you should
look like my mate, not my secretary.”
He pulled a white sundress from a travel bag–elegant, light, simple
but obviously expensive. I’d never seen it before, but it looked exactly
my size.
He planned this. The manipulative bastard had this entire charade
planned.
“Go to the bathroom and change,” Drake handed me the dress, his voice brooking no argument. “Don’t make me ask twice.”
I took the dress, fingers feeling the silky material. I wanted to refuse,
to throw it in his arrogant face.

Chapter 123
The bathroom was larger than on commercial flights but still
cramped. I had barely removed my jacket when the door opened. I
turned in shock to see Drake squeezing into the small space, locking
the door behind him.
“Drake, what are you doing?” I whispered furiously, instinctively
covering myself with my jacket though I was still fully clothed.
“You’re insane! This is a plane!”
“And?” He stepped forward, trapping me between the sink and his
body. His hands planted on either side of me, golden eyes locked on
mine, pupils dilating with desire.
My heart raced, a confusing mix of fear, anger, and unwanted arousal flooding my system. No, no, no. Not here. Not like this.
“Someone will hear us!” I tried to push against his chest, but the
position gave me no leverage. “Are you out of your fucking mind?”
“You think I care?” Drake’s voice dropped to a dangerous rumble. He
leaned down, his lips capturing mine in a forceful kiss that invaded
my mouth.
I tried to resist, but my body betrayed me as it always did, responding to his touch like a well–tuned instrument. Traitor, I cursed my own
body as heat pooled low in my belly. Drake’s kisses moved from my

lips to my neck, his teeth grazing my skin and sending shivers down
my spine.
“Drake, stop,” I protested weakly, hating the breathiness in my voice.
“Let’s wait until we get to the hotel. This is too risky.”
But Drake was already lost to desire, his hands sliding to my waist,
unbuttoning my blouse. I could feel his hardness pressing against me,
his scent heavy with Alpha dominance and lust, overwhelming my
senses.
“Ten years, Elsa,” he whispered against my ear, “and you still don’t
understand. When I want you, location is irrelevant.”
I closed my eyes, feeling a wave of humiliation and unwilling arousal
wash over me. I hated this feeling, hated how easily my body
surrendered to him. I hate you for making me want this. I hate myself
more for not being stronger,
A knock on the door interrupted us.
“Sir, do you need assistance?” The flight attendant’s voice came
through the door, her tone laced with knowing embarrassment.
Drake chuckled against my ear and whispered, “Answer her.”
Chapter 123
I widened my eyes, unable to believe what he was asking. You sick,
controlling son of a bitch.
“Answer her,” he repeated, his fingers tightening threateningly, “or I’ll
continue regardless of whether she’s standing there or not.”
I bit my lip hard, anger and helplessness washing over me. “No, thank
you. We’re fine,” I managed to keep my voice steady. “We’ll be out
shortly.”
“Of course, ma’am.” The flight attendant’s voice was knowing, her
