Chapter 141

The security officer switched to another angle, but there was no sign
of Elsa. “This is the only other camera covering that area, sir. There’s
a blind spot where-”
We all fell silent as the audio from the camera picked up a sudden cry
-Elsa’s voice, unmistakably. My blood turned to ice, a cold sweat
breaking out across my skin.
“Play that again,” I ordered, my voice so low it was nearly a growl, my
claws fully extended now, digging into the palm of my hand.
The officer rewound the footage. The cry came again. And then
nothing. I closed my eyes briefly, fighting for control as my wolf
threatened to break free.
“Get every available man searching the water,” I said, my voice
vibrating with rage. “Now. And if she’s not found in the next hour, I’ll
personally throw every one of you overboard.”
Within minutes, the yacht was alive with activity. Security personnel
and crew members searched every corner of the ship while others

launched search boats into the surrounding water. Floodlights
illuminated the dark sea, creating pools of harsh white light against
the black water.
I stood at the railing, scanning the waves below with vision far sharper than any human’s could be. My wolf was close to the surface now, my eyes fully golden, driven by an instinct to protect what was mine. If anyone had harmed her…I’d tear them apart with my bare
hands and watch them bleed out slowly.
Around me, I could hear the whispers of the other guests, their curious eyes watching me with new interest. My reaction had made it clear that Elsa was more than just an assistant to me, but I couldn’t bring myself to give a single fuck about pack politics at that moment.
After an hour of searching, the head of security approached me, his
expression grim.
“Mr. Stone, we’ve searched the entire perimeter and found no sign of Ms. Hale. We’ve alerted the coast guard, but with the currents in this
area…”
He didn’t need to finish the sentence. If Elsa had fallen into the water, the odds of finding her diminished with every passing minute.
I grabbed him by the collar, lifting him until his feet barely touched
the ground.

“Keep. Searching,” I growled, each word precise and deadly. “And I
want the passenger list for every single person on this yacht. Anyone
who leaves without my permission will be hunted down and gutted.
Am I fucking clear?”
A woman in an expensive evening gown approached hesitantly. “Mr.
Stone? I think I saw your assistant earlier, near the stern.”
I turned to her sharply, my movements so sudden she took a step
back in fear. “When? Who was she with?” I demanded, my voice rough
with barely contained emotion.
“About an hour ago. She seemed… unwell. There was a man with her
I believe it was Mr. Ross, the construction materials CEO.”
“Mike Ross?” Jason asked, surprised.
The woman nodded. “Yes, that’s him. The one with the silver hair and
that awful yellow tie.”
I exchanged a look with Jason, my jaw working with tension. Mike
Ross was a minor player in the Black Obsidian pack, the owner of a
