Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever novel Chapter 450

Chapter 450: Chapter 451 - You should have left our daughter where she belonged

Madison listened carefully. "You must tell everyone your daughter was born prematurely."

Confusion spread across Madison’s face. "Prematurely? Why?"

Noelle nodded. "According to everyone else, she cannot be older than one year."

Madison blinked several times, clearly lost. "I don’t understand." Her brows pulled together. "But why would her age matter? Her birth records already show the real date."

Noelle’s expression hardened. "Then you’ll have new records made." The warmth disappeared from her voice completely. If anyone found Sera and Daisy to share the same birth date, who knows?

Alpha Humphrey and Luna Kylie would easily discern that Daisy was the Fenrir. Afterall, Seraphine had the mark of the crescent moon on her stomach.

Still, she could not tell this to Madison. "If you want this job, that’s my condition." She held Madison’s gaze without blinking. "Otherwise, I’m afraid I can’t employ you."

Madison’s shoulders slowly fell. She knew exactly what refusing would mean. An omega rarely had the luxury of saying no. A mother with a sick child had even fewer choices.

She lowered her head in defeat. "I’ll have the birth records changed."

A satisfied smile returned to Noelle’s face. "Good." She gave a small nod. "When everything is finished, bring the new certificate to the packhouse."

Several days later, Madison arrived with her husband and the little girl they had named Daisy. The servants welcomed them inside, and before long, they officially became part of the household.

Just as Noelle had expected, Luna Kylie quickly grew incredibly fond of Madison.

She admired the way the gentle omega cared for Seraphine with such endless patience and genuine love. Whenever Seraphine cried, Madison was right there.

Whenever she laughed, Madison smiled brightly with her. Watching them together filled Kylie with such comfort.

She never questioned why Seraphine seemed so attached to her nanny. To her, it simply proved Madison had a truly kind heart and was deserving of her job.

Life inside the packhouse slowly settled into a comfortable routine.

Then Daisy’s illness became impossible to ignore. Each time Daisy fell ill, Noelle felt her stomach tighten with pure dread. She already believed she knew the heartbreaking answer.

Chuck’s words kept echoing endlessly in her head. If Seraphine was the gifted wolf, then Daisy...

Noelle closed her eyes tightly. She no longer had any doubt.

This had to be the curse of the Fenrir wolf that her daughter was destined to carry.

Years dragged by before any real hope finally showed up. By the time Daisy turned five, a newly arrived group of pack doctors took a completely fresh look at her condition.

After weeks of careful observation and tests, they reached a hopeful conclusion: regular blood transfusions could slowly strengthen her body. If the treatments worked well enough, there was a real chance she might eventually outgrow the illness altogether.

When the doctors explained that Seraphine would be the best match to donate blood, Luna Kylie immediately shut the idea down hard. "No." She stepped protectively in front of Seraphine, her voice firm and unyielding. "She’s too young."

The doctors tried to explain the procedure again with calm patience. "The amount of blood we’ll take is very small. There won’t be any lasting harm. It will be completely safe."

Even then, Kylie stayed unwilling. She wasn’t ready to put Seraphine through anything that might cause her even the slightest pain.

It wasn’t until Seraphine quietly stepped forward on her own that Kylie’s resolve finally started to crack. "I want to help Daisy," the little girl said, her voice soft but full of certainty.
