Chapter 150
KINGSTON
I haven’t seen my Luna in hours, not since we parted ways after a quick lunch. She went home to change because she hadn’t brought a change of clothes, and I, on the other hand, remained making nice with the alphas who attended my inauguration.
I know Aeliana is here, but I can’t spot her.
Valour Hall is crowded. Not everyone from the pack was able to attend tonight’s after-party, but it’s great regardless.
The gods finally smile down on me when I see her, laughing at something that River says across the room. I have to fight the urge to go to her, I try to stick with the Alpha’s, but it doesn’t work, not mentally, at least.
She flickers her fingers in a wave motion when she sees me, smiling widely. I can’t take my eyes off her, Jaxton nudges me. “Focus,” he says, covering it with a cough so Alpha Raymond and Alpha Santiago don’t catch on.
My God, Aeliana looks amazing.
While I’m aware that this is a recurring thought every time that I see her, it’s all different. I can’t take my eyes off her. Her outfit tonight makes it a little bit harder to focus on anything that isn’t her. “Yes,” I nod, pretending to be engrossed in Raymond’s old age pack traditions.
When Rowan appears next to Aeliana, I find myself envious of his position in the pack. Had I been Beta, I would be with Aeliana right now. Hell, we’d be locked up at home. I see her leave the table, signalling Noah she doesn’t need to follow her.
“Excuse me for a moment,” I say, immediately excusing myself from the conversation. No one says anything. I dump my whiskey on a server’s tray and follow Aeliana. She winds up in the women’s restrooms. I can’t scent anyone else but her inside, so I push the door open and enter.
She’s by the mirror when I walk in, reapplying a coat of lipstick, the same shade that left marks on my cock last night. She meets my eyes in the reflection, smiling. “This is the ladies’ room.” She says, puckering her lips.
“I know,” I say, moving close. My arms wrap around her, and I drop my neck between her collar and jaw, breathing her in. “I missed you.”
“I was hoping you’d notice me.” She confesses, doing an awfully great job using her words. “But you didn’t look at me once.”
I kiss her neck, “I noticed you, Ellie. How could I not? Have you seen yourself?”
She nods, her cheeks flushing. “Well, maybe you should see yourself through my eyes,” I tell her, pulling her closer, her back pressed against my chest. “Earlier, I couldn’t find you but since I did, I’ve been watching you all night,” I rasp against her ear. “Enough for me to memorise the way this dress hugs your ass. The way every man in the room looks at you knowing you’re untouchable.”
She snorts, “No one was looking at me, King.”
“The wise ones tried to be discreet,” I tell her. “Like Jaxon, he might have a crush on you, but he knows I would end him if he ever looked at you wrong. So does everyone else here tonight, no one should ever try to take what’s mine.”
“Me?” She asks, staring at me in the mirror.

I quickly spin her around, so that she’s facing me. “I missed you.” I tell her, “Do you wanna ditch these people, and head home? I promise I’ll make it more fun than it is here.”
“We can’t leave,” she tells me, throwing her arms around my neck. “It’s too early.”
I sigh, “Well, I miss my wife. Don’t you want to know all the dirty things I want to do to you? Hint, it involves at least three orgasms.”
She laughs, “Hmm. I don’t know about three, but we can squeeze one in, we can have a little fun right here.” She says, chewing on her bottom lip. “We don’t have to wait,” she whispers. “We can be quick,” she says, pushing me against the wall.
