Chapter 190
Audrey frowns, her jaw dropping. “You bet on us fighting?”
He shrugs, “I bet on her rocking your world, which she did, and thanks to that? I bought my wife a new rock,” he grins, nudging Danielle. “Show her baby.”
Danielle laughs, “You’re being an asshole, babe. Why don’t you just tell her you missed her?”
Rowan sighs, “I missed you, Audrey.” He says, and I believe it, this is their dynamic.
Audrey rolls her eyes, “Yeah right.” She says, nodding.
Someone catches my eye, walking out of the laundry room with sheets I recognise from Aeliana’s bedroom. ” Lexie!” I call to her, stopping when I realise I’m moving towards her. Lexis pauses, immediately setting the laundry basket down.
“Oh wow,” Rowan hisses. “He is even excited to see the maid?”
“Careful, Aeliana might rock her world next,” Danielle says, her eyes shifting to Audrey. “Err, not that she rocked yours, or anything, but you get it.”
Audrey nods, “I do.”
Lexie bows, “Alpha, Beta, Lady Danielle.” She says, “Welcome back.”
I nod, barely able to contain my excitement. “Is my wife eating, painting or sleeping?”
Lexie pauses, playing with her fingers. “She’s umm-the thing is, Luna Aeliana..” she trails off.
“Wha-what happened with her?”
“She is ”
“Getting wasted?” Audrey finishes for her, “Tell him, don’t be shy…”
“What do you mean by that?” I almost growl.
Audrey crosses her arms over her chest, an alarming twinkle in her eyes. “Ever since you left, Aeliana.” She pauses, looking at Rowan. “Sorry, I mean Luna Aeliana has taken a liking to spending her days and nights out of the house. She’s either drunk every hour of the day, or simply just high as a kite.”
Drunk? High?
No, that doesn’t sound anything like the woman I’ve been talking to all week. I’ve spoken to her every day, and she didn’t sound drunk, she didn’t appear any different except for how happy and calm she was. “Audrey, it wouldn’t be appropriate if you were to make assumptions about Aeliana, she’s your Luna. Her honour is something you need to defend not slander.”
“Kingston,” she gasps. “Why would I-, you know what, ask her minion.” She says, tapping her foot inpatiently.
“Lexie?” I swallow, dreading the answer to my question before I’ve asked her. I don’t want her to be right. “Can you tell me where my Luna is?”
Lexie swallows, “She’s out.”
Oh God.

“Since when?” Audrey pushes, “Tell him.”
“Two nights,” Lexie says quietly, staring at Audrdy like she just made her break an oath. “But she did send for some clothes, because she’s staying with Miss Noah.”
That makes me relax a bit, she’s with Noah. The girl has proven she can take care of Aeliana no matter how drunk they both are. She’s safe with Noah.
“Yep, they’re living their best lives. They are both parading in skimpy outfits and stripper heels,” Audrey says. ” Everyone has seen it, and it’s unbecoming for a Luna, I would have said something, but she’s not one to listen, and I didn’t cross think to meddle, but you can. It’s good that you’re back, you should handle her before she gets too drunk, and ruins the pack’s reputation.”
Her tone is placid, concerned but her words do not sit well with me in the slightest. I know what she is insinuating but Aeliana wouldn’t do that, she wouldn’t make that mistake twice.
“You need not concern yourself with my mate, Audrey.” I snap, my voice sharp and bitter. I know Aeliana does take to the party girl life when she’s with Noah, but it’s nothing concerning, she’s young. We both are, she can have a night or two to herself, the responsibilities she inherited recently are heavy, and she didn’t have time to prepare for them. “I can handle Aeliana just fine.”
“Just saying,” she shrugs. “You might want to start with rehab rather than having Maddox give her antidotes every time so she can feel better, and get herself drunk again and again.” she says, her tone growing agitated. ” Someone could easily spike poison into her drinks, that’s if she doesn’t drink herself to death or overdose on whatever crap she’s putting up her body for five minutes of pleasure.”
“Well shit,” Rowan lets out a long whistle. “Blondie has a point.”
