Chapter 213
“No,” she hisses, looking over her shoulder. “How did he-fucking Damien, I thought we were friends, but he rated me out.”
“Hold on,” Stacey frowns, watching him too.
Kingston doesn’t come to our table, he walks to the other side of the room. “Umm, it doesn’t look like he’s here for you, my Ellie.”
“Isn’t that Audrey Cole?”
Oh no.
Alpha Kingston is walking towards Audrey’s table, she came in here about an hour ago, and she’s kept to her booth the whole time, I didn’t mean to notice her, but when someone annoys you, you notice them. Aeliana tenses, gripping the booth.
“Maybe he’s asking her where you are, it’s pretty crowded.”
Just then, Alpha Kingston stops in front of Blondie, he leans into her, and they kiss. My eyes snap wide, staring at Aeliana. I know that man did not just make me eat my words less than an hour ago. I called him a good husband, and yet here he is, kissing Blondie for everyone to see. It’s a brief kiss, her hands pulling at his chest.
“No,” Aeliana says, her voice strangled and barely audible over the music. “I don’t think my whereabouts are in her mouth.” she frowns, her head tilted at them.
Stacey groans, smacking her forehead. “Oh, for fucks sake, Alpha.”
“That’s…” I trail off, unable to find the right words. Alpha Kingston scoops her up in his arms and carries her purse, carrying her out into the night. The whole thing takes less than a minute, but I can tell it’s an eternity for Aeliana. “I don’t know what to say.”
She laughs, the sound bitter and maniacal. Stacey turns to me, but I’m just as lost, Aeliana is laughing. “Those two are playing me for a fool,” she snorts out another laugh. “I should put my clown makeup on and join a circus, it’s more fitting. Although, it seems I’m already in one.”
“Luna Aeliana.”
“Please don’t call me that right now,” she shakes her head. “Not while my mate who gave me the darn title is carrying the love of his life into their fairytale dreams.” She says, her voice getting louder with each word.
“We should leave,” I offer.
Aeliana instantly protests, “No, we’re staying. If Kingston thinks he can make a public fool out of me and I’ll just sit around? He’s got another thing coming.”
Okay, now I’m alarmed.
She’s way too calm for someone who just saw what she did, that man has been singing I love yous to her, he’s been doting on her, crowding her and he’s cheating? Why? Is that the reason he begged me to convince her to take the job? And the person he mentioned, who could help with her Luna duties, was that Blondie? Fuck, I feel stupid for not catching on. “My Ellie,” I swallow.
“I’m fine, everything’s great!” She announces, smiling through her real emotions. “I expected this from him, but publicly? He publicly humiliated me. No, I’m not living in that shame, I will double it.” She frantically nods. “He wants to kiss her? Fine, I’ll kiss two men, and a woman so that the score is even.”

“Noah?” Stacey chokes out, the panic in her voice evident.

Aeliana grins widely, “You know what? I should go for the trophy, and fuck someone tonight, bonus points if I go home smelling like them.”
Trophy? No. When did this turn into some sick competition between them? Too sick because she’s considering touching other men, I’ve seen her burn clothes because a man hugged her, and his scent lingered on them.
“My Ellie, that’s not you.” I shake my head, “You can’t do that.”
“I can and I will,” she snaps, downing the rest of her drink as she rises. “Watch me.” She winks, walking away before I can say anything else.
“I’m scared, Noah,” Stacey says. She didn’t sign up for crazy Aeliana, I love crazy Aeliana but this is not the time or situation. We should be in a cab going home or consoling her in the bathroom, but she refuses to feel.
I shift over to their side of the booth, “Girl, I’m scared too, she isn’t like this she doesn’t even like smelling other men.”
Aeliana walks up to a man i dont recognize, he smiles at her and she presses herself against him, kissing him. The man kisses her back, his hands settling on her waist like he’s not sure if this is real. “I didn’t know she was so gutsy.” Stacey hisses.
Neither did I. Their kiss lasts longer than Kingston’s did. If she’s overlooking her own disgust, she must be so hurt. She pulls away from the man, he reaches for her, but she shakes her head, moving on to her next target, this one kisses her back instantly, hungry and desperate, their bodies press against each other.
“Wow, talk about a woman of her word, she’s really going for it.”
I gasp, catching sight of her brother-in-law. He walks towards our table, a waiter shadowing him. “Damien,” I nervously smile. “D dog, D guy, dami to the yan. What’s popping?”
He frowns, “Very awkward hello to you too, Noah.” He pauses, as if noticing the reason he’s here is unavailable.” My band is running late, and I need a singer, where’s A? It’s just for a few minutes, twenty tops, and tonight’s band will arrive to take over.”
I nod, “You need her to perform?”
Stacey snorts out a laugh, “I don’t think Luna Aeliana can do that.”
“Why not?” He asks, an eyebrow lifted.
