“Look at you already planning on the next time,” Rowan smirks. “And you said you had a low sex drive.”

“Let’s just go,” I groan. I have nothing to look forward to today, I can’t even stalk Aeliana from my bedroom window because she seems to be hiding from my sight.

“You have to bring Aeliana, Danielle will no longer be sitting in for her and neither will Mom Estelle.”

I saw this coming, but neither Mom nor Danielle have assigned or taught Aeliana any of her duties yet, and I don’t think she’s ready yet. “She can attend the next meeting, I’ll fill her in later. It’s inconvenient to just spawn this on her, she must have plans.”

“What are you doing?” He frowns, “Let her decide for herself.”

“We must be running late, no?”

“No,” he slowly shakes his head. “We have about three hours.” He says, his gaze narrowing. “Why are you fidgeting? You look nervous.”

“I’m not,” I lie. Every conversation with her gives me anxiety, there is no knowing how things will turn out. I often have a strategy going into political disagreements, or arguments with other Alphas but with her? I never know how far or which route her anger will take. “Why don’t you have Danielle tell her to meet us at the car in an hour?”

Rowan gasps, “Are you scared of her?”

“No, she-she seems to need some space and-I, well, I’m not in the mood to get cussed out a second time,” I

confess.

He shakes his head, disappointment evident in his gaze. “Come on, King. You don’t leave your wife alone when she’s upset. When they say space, they don’t always mean it. They could actually mean space, or need clarity, either way. You need to offer both.”

Rowan lets out a frustrated groan, his patience seemingly limited today. “They should add a few relationship and bonding classes to the academy, ninety per cent of their products are lacking in that department, for example; you, Jaxton, Maddox, Theo, the list is endless.”

“Oh, and you’re emotionally intelligent?” I scoff.

He shrugs, “I might not understand everyone but I understand my mate, that’s more than I can say for you.”

“You’re very annoying, Rowan.” I huff, knowing he’s right makes him even more annoying. “I might dump a few impossible duties on you.”
