Chapter 70

I landed directly behind the rustcolored alpha who’d been preparing to tear out Kaius’s throat. Using the wind as an extension of my will,

I simplylifted him. The massive wolf found himself yanked into the air by invisible hands, thrashing helplessly as I held him twenty

feet above the battlefield.

Look at me, I projected into every mind present. Look at your deaths approaching.

I released my hold.

The alpha crashed to the earth with boneshattering force, his body leaving a crater in the bloodsoaked ground. He didn’t get up.

The remaining enemy alphas exchanged glances that spoke volumes. This wasn’t a battle they could win anymore.

I landed in the center of the killing ground and positioned myself backtoback with Kaius, our forms creating a striking contrasthis midnight black against my pristine white. The moment our bodies touched, the mate bond exploded to life with an intensity that stole my

breath.

Oh, fuck.

The sensation of our wolves connecting was like touching a live wire. I felt my abilities amplify beyond anything I’d ever experienced, while Kaius seemed to gain energy from our proximity. His movements became fluid again, deadly, and he began tearing through enemies

like they were made of paper.

Together, we were unstoppable.

The golden alpha tried to flank us, but I caught him with a windblade that opened his throat. The brown beast charged directly at Kalus, only to find himself impaled on claws that moved faster than sight. Within minutes, the surviving enemies were fleeing in all directions, abandoning their dead and wounded.

Victory,

The royal pack’s warriors looked at me with expressions of awe and reverence, and I had to admitdespite everything, despite my determination never to be their queenthe feeling was intoxicating.

Kaius moved closer, his black wolf radiating satisfaction and something that might have been gratitude. But I spun away, showing him my

tail while baring my teeth in warning.

I didn’t come here to save you, I projected through our bond. I came because I won’t let my parents die in your war.

As the immediate danger passed and my healing abilities continued working on the wounded, I noticed something that made my heart leap with joy. Across the battlefield, Scarlett and Frost were staring at each other with the unmistakable intensity of a new mate bond snapping into place.

Chapter 70

Finally! Someone deserves happiness tonight.

I watched with warm anticipation as Scarlett approached the gray wolf, expecting to witness the beautiful moment when they acknowledged their connection.

Instead, Frost lowered his head and turned away.

What the fuck?

My beta’s expression crumbled with hurt and confusion as Frost actually snarled at her, driving her back with bared teeth before disappearing into the shadows beyond the battlefield.

Rage flooded through me. How dare he reject my pack member? How dare he hurt Scarlett when she’d just risked her life to save his ungrateful hide?

I started to pursue him, ready to tear strips off his cowardly hide, but movement at the edge of my vision made me freeze.

Familiar scents carried on the night windcedar and steel from my father, lavender and strength from my mother. Their pack’s banner appeared over the ridge, warriors moving in perfect formation despite their obvious exhaustion.

They’d come expecting to find a slaughter. Instead, they found victory, and at the center of it all, a white wolf whose identity was impossible to mistake.

My father’s wolfa grizzled gray veteranmoved with the pride of a commander who’d just discovered his daughter was legendary. But my mother’s golden form carried something far more precious in her movements: the desperate relief of a parent who’d found her lost child

at last.

Time to face the music.

As both my parents shifted to human form and waited expectantly, I realized there was no hiding anymore. No more pretending to be ordinary, no more keeping my true nature secret from the wolves who’d given me life.

For better or worse, the white wolf had finally come home.
