Chapter 100 Jared Takes the Hit
Chapter 100 Jared Takes the Hit
“Natasha, you hurt my son like this and still dare to hide? You can’t avoid this forever. Someone has to answer for what happened to him,” said Gordon’s mother.
She stormed up to Natasha, glaring at her with loathing.
The day after Natasha stabbed her son, Gordon’s mother was ready to confront Natasha at her office and demand answers.
But she was told Natasha hadn’t even come to work.
So she bribed a secretary on the executive floor to keep her updated on Natasha’s whereabouts.
Yesterday was Natasha’s first day back at work, and Gordon’s mother got the news and was ready to come after her
But on her way over, she unexpectedly received word that Gordon had woken up in the hospital.
She immediately turned around and rushed straight to the hospital, so she didn’t have time to deal with Natasha anymore.
But today, she came specifically to hold Natasha accountable and demand answers.
Natasha was genuinely caught off guard when Gordon’s mother suddenly appeared at her office.
The slap hit her before she even had a chance to react.
Almost instantly, a bright red welt rose on one side of her pale, pretty face.
But Natasha wasn’t a soft target to be pushed around.
Especially this time, she was the victim here.
Gordon had tried to force himself on her, and his family had no right to act as they were the ones wronged.
Natasha thought, ‘Who does Gordon’s mother think she is, barging into my office and causing trouble?’
“Ma’am, are you going to pretend you don’t know what Gordon did?” Natasha asked coldly, fixing her with an icy stare.
Muriel Zucker, Gordon’s mother, wailed, “My son is innocent. You must have seduced him. He lost control for a moment and was bewitched. It’s all your fault. You’re the one who ruined my son.”
Natasha was speechless.
She thought, ‘Is she seriously blaming me, the victim?
‘Her son was the one with twisted intentions, tried to force himself on me. Now she’s acting like it’s all my fault?
‘She’s actually pushing all the blame onto me, the one who got hurt?
‘Now she’s saying I seduced her son? Unbelievable.’
Natasha fired back with a mocking tone, “You’ve read all those scandals about your son online, haven’t you? So what, every woman he messed with was begging for it? Your darling boy is pure as snow, never did a thing wrong?”
Muriel was left speechless by Natasha’s sharp retort.
But she couldn’t accept that her son had been stabbed for nothing, left in a coma for days, and only now finally woke up.
The moment he opened his eyes, he was confronted with scandalous headlines all over the internet and the news that the police had officially issued a warrant for his arrest.
She thought, ‘How did my good son suddenly become a suspect everyone despises?’
“It’s all your fault, you vile bitch! You destroyed my son. I’ll tear you apart, I’ll make you pay,” Muriel shrieked.
Muriel’s face contorted in fury, and she totally lost it, blinded by anger.
She charged at Natasha without a care, her so-called elegance shattered. There was nothing left of the refined lady she pretended to be.
Natasha never saw that slap coming. She was unprepared, which was how Gordon’s mother managed to land it.
But now, Natasha was ready. There was no way she was letting herself get hurt again.
Natasha caught Muriel’s wrist mid-air, stopping her cold. She shot back, “Gordon brought this on himself. The police already ruled it was self-defense. He tried to force himself on me. If you don’t like it, take it up with the police. “Instead of throwing a tantrum here, maybe you should worry about how many years your son’s going to rot in jail.” Muriel was shaking with fury. “Impossible! My son is the victim. There’s no way he’s going to prison.”
Natasha fixed her with a cold stare. “Your son broke the law, so he’s got to pay for it. Coming here and screaming at me isn’ t going to help you. Try laying a finger on me again, and I’ll call the police on you right now.”

“You!” Muriel blurted out, her voice trembling with shock and embarrassment.
She couldn’t believe that Natasha, the daughter of a concubine from the Whittier family, actually dared to stand up to her
like this.
This girl is out of control. Just watch, I’ll deal with this uppity girl, Muriel raged inwardly.
Just then, the elevator doors slid open.
Natasha was ready to step inside, determined to get to City Hall and finally end her marriage.
But Muriel jerked her back hard.
“Stop right there. You’re not going anywhere,” she snapped.
Natasha snapped her hand away without a second thought.
“If you want to know who the real abuser is, why don’t you go ask the cops yourself?” Natasha shot back
Natasha didn’t hold back.
Muriel staggered back several steps and hit the floor hard.
That really set her off.
She was Mrs. Zucker. No one had ever dared to treat her this way before.
Muriel let loose a stream of nasty insults, her voice dripping with venom.
Then, without thinking, she grabbed a vase from the side and hurled it at Natasha as hard as she could.
“Drop dead,” she shrieked.
Everyone cried out in shock.-
At that very moment, Derek stepped out of the president’s office with Jared.
They happened to witness the whole thing.
Derek immediately called out, “Natasha.”
Before he could react, a dark figure darted past him.
Someone beat him to it. He rushed to Natasha’s side and wrapped her up in a protective embrace.
The vase slammed into Jared’s shoulder, then fell and shattered on the floor.
With a resounding crash, the porcelain shards cut his ear and cheek.
Everyone was stunned.
Jared’s eyes flashed with a cold, piercing glare, locking onto the culprit, frozen in place.
Muriel shuddered, intimidated by his icy stare.
She stammered, “I… I… Jared, hear me out… I didn’t mean to hit you… I was trying to hit her, not you.”
Jared was the last person she wanted to piss off. She knew that all too well.
‘Just my luck! Of all people, why did I have to hit Jared?’ thought Gordon’s mother.
“Shut up!” Jared barked, his voice cold as steel.
His glare grew even sharper.
He radiated a bone-chilling presence, his whole demeanor freezing the air around him.
“Derek, get security over here. No more random people wandering into the company,” he ordered.
He didn’t need to shout. His authority was absolute.
Jared’s face was downright intimidating.
“Random people? Jared, are you serious…” Muriel stammered.
She was staring at him in disbelief.
Sure, she’d accidentally hit Jared, and that was her fault.
