Chapter 102 He Kisses Her
Chapter 102 He Kisses Her
Natasha flinched, her heart skipping a beat.
She thought, ‘Why is Percy calling me now?
‘He’s probably getting impatient waiting for me at City Hall.’
Natasha never expected Jared would end up hurt to protect her.
There was no way she could leave right now.
Natasha was about to hang up the call.
But before she could, Jared suddenly leaned in and bit her earlobe.
Natasha shuddered, her body jolting as if struck by electricity.
Her trembling hand accidentally swiped the screen, and the call connected.
“Why aren’t you here yet?” Percy’s impatient voice came through the phone.
Both Natasha and Jared were stunned, frozen in place.
A look of fluster flickered across Natasha’s face.
Inside, she was even more annoyed with herself.
‘I meant to hang up, not pick up. How did I end up answering?’ Natasha cursed herself.
The moment Jared heard Percy’s voice, his eyes suddenly turned dark.
His expression grew even more enigmatic, impossible to read.
No one could guess what was going on in his mind right then.
Natasha’s first instinct was to push Jared away.
She had to keep her distance from him.
Percy could never find out she was with another guy.
But Jared was deliberately making things difficult for her.
Whenever she stepped aside, he followed right after.
It was impossible for Natasha to even take the call.
However, Percy was already losing his patience on the other end of the line.
“Natasha?” he called out.
The call had gone through, but Natasha still didn’t say a word.
Percy had never experienced this before.
“I’m… here…” Natasha replied, her voice trembling a bit.
She gave Jared a guarded glance and answered quickly.
Percy sounded annoyed as he demanded, “What’s going on? Why aren’t you here yet?”
Last night, Natasha was the one who had arranged to meet Percy at the Civil Hall at noon today.
Yet, Percy had been waiting outside for half an hour, and there wasn’t even a sign of Natasha.
Natasha swallowed her nerves and promised, “I’ll be there soon. Please wait a little longer for me.”
Percy was stunned. She expected him to wait even longer.
He got even angrier.
Percy had never waited this long for Natasha, not before their marriage, not after.
It was usually the other way around. Natasha was the one waiting for him.
Percy thought, ‘Now that we are getting divorced, she is acting like a big shot? There is no way I can stand it.
“Are you going to divorce me or what?” Percy snapped.
His tone was harsh, and his expression was awful.
Natasha replied without a second thought, “Of course, I want to, but…”
Before she could finish, she was stunned to see Jared begin approaching her, one step at a time.

His pants were already off.
All he had on was a designer shirt.
He kept closing the distance, step by step.
He was shamelessly exposed, making no effort to hide himself.
Natasha’s eyes went wide.
He instantly drew all her attention.
Natasha stared at him, completely transfixed.
She suddenly forgot what she was even supposed to say.
“But what?” Percy demanded.
He realized Natasha had suddenly stopped mid-sentence, going silent.
He couldn’t help but ask again, sounding both surprised and suspicious.
Natasha kept a wary eye on Jared, tense and unsure what he was planning next.
Meanwhile, she had to juggle the call with Percy, doing her best to soothe him.
If she set him off now and he decided not to wait for her at City Hall to finalize the divorce, she’d be in real trouble.
“It’s just… I’m tied up right now and can’t leave…” said Natasha, scrambling to pull herself together and explain. Percy grumbled, “If you’re busy, why did you set the meeting for noon? Natasha, are you playing games with me?” He was starting to seriously suspect Natasha was deliberately messing with him, trying to get back at him.
“No, I… Ah!” Natasha subconsciously defended herself.
But before she could finish her words, she suddenly felt arms wrap around her from behind.
She almost cried out in surprise.
Then it hit her. She was still talking to Percy on the phone.
Natasha clapped a hand over her mouth, stifling the gasp that threatened to escape.
Jared already knew Natasha was on the phone with her husband, Percy.
But since Natasha hadn’t put it on speaker, even though he was nearby, he couldn’t hear clearly.
He had no idea they were supposed to go to City Hall today to finalize their divorce.
From the way Natasha answered, he could only guess that she and Percy had planned to meet up at noon.
But because he got hurt saving her, she couldn’t make it there on time.
Natasha’s husband was calling to rush her over to City Hall.
Jared, deep down, didn’t want her to go meet Percy.
Whether it was selfishness or jealousy, it didn’t matter. Jared felt that way.
Right now, all Jared wanted was to keep her from seeing Percy.
Therefore, Jared pulled Natasha into his embrace from behind, holding her close on purpose.
His large, calloused hand wandered over her body, pretending to be casual but clearly intentional.
He stroked and teased her.
Natasha’s breath caught.
Her heart was racing, thundering in her chest.
She never imagined Jared would get handsy with her right when she was talking to her Percy on the phone.
Her instinct was to pull away from Jared’s embrace.
But she couldn’t risk making any obvious moves.
She was terrified Percy would get suspicious and jump to the wrong conclusions.
But Jared had already figured out exactly what she was thinking.
His hands grew even more daring, his touch becoming downright shameless.
Natasha turned to glare at him, her face burning with a mix of shame and anger.
She gave him a look that clearly said, ‘Let me go.’

But Jared acted like he didn’t get the hint at all.
Instead, he got even bolder, his hand sliding beneath her top.
“What was that?” Percy demanded, suspicion clear in his voice.
Percy’d been waiting for Natasha to answer for what felt like forever, and now he knew something wasn’t right.
He called out again, unable to stay quiet any longer.
Natasha bit back a moan, barely managing to squeeze out the words through clenched teeth. “N… Nothing…
“I’m busy later, let’s do this another day,” Percy said, clearly out of patience.
“No!” Natasha quickly refused.
Dragging out the divorce with Percy was asking for trouble. The longer it took, the more likely things would get messy
