Chapter 106 Dreaming of Him
Chapter 106 Dreaming of Him
‘Is my nervous disorder acting up again?’ Natasha wondered, her breath coming in short, ragged bursts.
Natasha was gasping for breath, her body twisting into an S-shape on the bed.
Her craving was getting more intense with every passing moment.
‘This is all Jared’s fault, Natasha grumbled to herself. ‘He just can’t stop teasing me, even in the middle of the hight.
‘How am I supposed to resist him?
‘I can’t take it anymore.
‘If this keeps up, I’m going to lose it.’
Natasha climbed out of bed and started rummaging around for the nervous disorder meds she’d gotten from the hospital.
She was shocked to find there was only one pill left.
Without hesitation, she popped it into her mouth and swallowed.
Slowly, that feverish sensation in her body started to die down.
But as Natasha stared at the empty pill bottle, she couldn’t help but worry.
She’d used up all her nervous disorder meds.
But her nervous disorder wasn’t gone for good.
‘What am I supposed to do if it comes back?’ Natasha fretted.
One couldn’t just pick up these meds at a regular pharmacy.
She’d have to make another trip to the hospital and get a doctor to write her a prescription.
But going to the hospital meant she’d have to deal with all those annoying checkups again.
‘What if I get stuck with a guy doctor again?’ Natasha thought, feeling her nerves go haywire.
Just remembering the time she had to see Jared at the hospital for this made her cheeks burn.
Her heart raced, and her face was on fire.
Even now, the memory still made her feel jittery.
Natasha thought, ‘Better not go back to the hospital.
‘After all, it’s way too awkward to bring up something like this with a doctor I barely know.
‘If I need more meds, I’ll go straight to Jared and ask him.
‘He can get me another bottle, and I won’t have to deal with all that embarrassing stuff again.’
Natasha fell asleep thinking about it.
But her sleep was anything but restful.
Jared was everywhere in her dreams, again and again.
And every single one was a hot, wild fantasy.
Sometimes he had her pressed up against the desk, sometimes on the couch, and then there was that time on the hospital bed…
“Baby, do you like it when I touch you like this?” Jared whispered.
Jared licked her earlobe, his voice dropping to a dark, seductive rumble.
Natasha was startled awake by her dream.
It was just starting to get light outside.
She was covered in a sheen of sweat.
Her breath came in short, ragged bursts.
After a few shaky breaths, Natasha felt her cheeks burn with embarrassment and shame as memories of that steamy dream flooded back.
She shot out of bed and dashed straight to the bathroom.
She splashed cold water on her face.
She was desperate to cool herself down and snap out of it.

But those steamy dreams from last night kept flashing through her mind, refusing to leave.
Her pretty face kept flushing, again and again.
Natasha thought, ‘Oh, my god, how could I have such naughty dreams? And it wasn’t just one.”
Natasha felt so frustrated with herself.
She couldn’t believe she’d spent the whole night dreaming about Jared, and he was the star in every single one of those steamy fantasies.
Natasha thought, ‘Am I lusting after him?
‘It must be because I haven’t been with a man in forever I’m just touch-starved.
‘Yeah, that’s it.
‘Hey, women have needs, too.
‘At least I’m about to divorce Percy
‘Once I’m single again, I can be with any man I want.
‘No more pretending to be a lonely wife, and no more suffering in silence
Natasha freshened up again before finally stepping out of the bathroom
She grabbed a quick breakfast and headed off to work.
Natasha had lunch with her best friend, Dorothy
Today was Dorothy’s first day back at work after recovering from her injury
Seeing Dorothy so full of energy and doing much better, Natasha could finally relax.
“Dorothy, thank you again for saving me,” Natasha said gratefully. “I’m really sorry you had to stay in the hospital for so long because of me.”
Dorothy laughed. “Come on, you’ve said that a million times already. Look at me, I’m totally fine now.”
Natasha grinned. “Let me treat you to a big dinner after work tonight.”
“Of course!” Dorothy raised her eyebrows at her playfully, then suddenly paused, her gaze turning serious. “But was Marsh the mastermind behind the hit-and-run?”
Natasha hadn’t thought about that before.
“You think there’s someone else pulling the strings?” Natasha asked.
Dorothy nodded. “Come on, Marsh had been working here forever. Why would he suddenly steal the BC Project Plan, try to pin it on you, and even go as far as trying to get rid of you for good?
“That’s not his style. He must’ve been paid off. There’s gotta be someone way more powerful calling the shots behind all
this.”
Natasha narrowed her eyes, considering what Dorothy said.
‘Gotta admit, Dorothy’s got a point, Natasha thought.
Even though the police had closed the case on the BC Project Plan leak and all the blame ended up on Marsh, it was obvious he was the scapegoat.
The real mastermind who wanted her dead was probably still out there, walking free.
Dorothy quickly warned her, “Nat, you need to be careful these days. What if the mastermind sends someone else after you?”
Natasha shook her head. “I doubt it. He only had someone hit me to frame me and get rid of me for good. Now that the BC Project Plan case is wrapped up and Marsh took the blame, unless there’s some new evidence, it’s almost impossible to reopen things.
“The mastermind has no reason to mess with me again and risk blowing his cover.”
Dorothy said. “So you should be safe for now.”
“Yes, I should be Natasha answered.
Dorothy asked. “But who do you think is pulling the strings here?”
Natasha replied. “No one can keep their secrets forever. If he did something shady, he’s bound to slip up sooner or later.”
Chapter 106 Dreaming of Him
Evening had settled in.
Natasha was packing up her things, getting ready to clock out.
Out of nowhere, her phone buzzed. Jared was calling.
“Come here,” Jared said.
Only two brief commands, yet they carried an undeniable authority.
Natasha hung up, sticking her tongue out in mock annoyance.
Since she was going to see Jared anyway, she figured she could ask him for another bottle of meds for her nervous disorder while she was at it.
Natasha clicked her way over to the president’s office next door, her heels echoing down the hallway.
“Knock, knock, knock!”
“Come in!” Jared called out.
Natasha took a deep breath at the door, then pushed it open and stepped inside.
