Chapter 105 Sent Her Abs Pics

“You… How dare you?” said Roxanne, pointing at Natasha.

She was so angry she almost fainted.

Roxanne never expected Natasha, that little brat, would dare speak to her like this.

Her resentful glare immediately locked onto Sandra.

It was as if Roxanne were blaming Sandra for how she’d raised Natasha, her daughter.

“Roxanne, I’m sorry. Nat didn’t mean it at all… She wasn’t thinking straight when she said those things.” Sandra rushed over trying to smooth things over for Natasha.

“Didn’t mean it? Please, that’s exactly what you two think,” Roxanne snapped, her eyes cold and unforgiving. She was not buying any of it.

Sandra shook her head frantically. “No, no, that’s absolutely not true. Roxanne, you’re always so gracious. Please let it side, this once, okay?”

Natasha couldn’t stand it anymore.

She thought, ‘Why has Mom been groveling in front of Roxanne all these years?

‘Even when Roxanne took Collin away from her, Mom never even tried to get him back.

‘Now that Roxanne is kicking us out of the house, Mom still doesn’t have the guts to fight for herself. She just kept pleading, spineless:

“Mom, why are you even apologizing to her? It’s obvious that…” Natasha protested, but Sandra cut her off before she could finish.

“Enough! Not another word,” Sandra interrupted.

Natasha would’ve always listened to Sandra before, but this time, she refused to be meek. She wasn’t going to stay quiet and submissive anymore.

She said, “Mom! Joelle started all this. She tried to hurt me first. The police took her away. That’s how it works. Now the investigation’s done, and she brought this on herself. What does any of this have to do with us?

“Roxanne never taught her daughter any manners, and now she’s blaming everyone else without even caring about the truth.”

Roxanne let out a cold laugh. “Oh, so it’s my fault for not raising my daughter right? Is this what you call good parenting, Sandra?”

Her tone was dripping with both threat and accusation.

Sandra knew exactly what Roxanne was getting at.

If she didn’t give Roxanne a satisfactory answer today, there was no way she and Natasha could stay at Whittier Manor.

“Nat, apologize to Roxanne now!” Sandra ordered, her tone urgent and commanding.

Natasha stared at Sandra in disbelief.

‘Seriously? I was defending her, and now she wants me to say sorry?’ Natasha thought, feeling betrayed.

“I didn’t do anything wrong. Why should I apologize?” Natasha protested.

She clenched her fists tightly, determined not to give in.

Back then, Natasha would’ve backed down, because Sandra’s position in the Whittier family was so shaky.

But now, she finally saw things for what they really were.

The more she and her mom tried to play nice, the harder Roxanne and Joelle stomped all over them.

Bullies always go after the easy targets.

At the worst, she’d take Sandra and move out of Whittier Manor.

Honestly, she hadn’t wanted to stay at Whittier Manor for a long time anyway.

Sandra was pissed off at Natasha.

She thought, ‘Nat has always listened to me, so why is she suddenly talking back like this? Does she find out something?”

“I’m asking you one last time. Are you going to apologize or not?” Sandra pressed, her patience wearing thin as she stared at Natasha.

“No!” Natasha shot back, not even hesitating for a second.

Suddenly, Sandra lifted her hand, about to slap Natasha right across the face.

But the slap didn’t land on Natasha.

Instead, Collin ended up getting slapped.

“Smack!”

The crisp sound of the slap echoed through the room, leaving everyone stunned.

Collin darted out of nowhere, jumped in front of Natasha, and took the slap meant for her.

Sandra was stunned.

Roxanne stormed over and gave Sandra a shove.

“What the hell are you doing? Why did you hit my son?” Roxanne demanded angrily.

Sandra’s eyes filled with tears.

She looked at Collin, shaking her head in frustration. “Son, I’m sorry…”

Roxanne snapped coldly, “Don’t call him your son. Collin is my son.”

“Mom, can you please let it go?” Collin spoke up, trying to defuse the situation.

Only then did Roxanne manage to rein in her anger.

“If anything happens to Joelle, you two are finished,” Roxanne spat, her voice cold and threatening.

She threw out that threat, then turned on her heel and stormed off in a fury.

“Mom, are you okay?” Collin turned to Sandra, his voice full of concern.

Sandra’s face lit up with joy. “Did you really just call me Mom?”

Collin was Sandra’s flesh and blood, but he’d been raised by Roxanne since he was a kid. He was never close to Sandra and always acted like she wasn’t good enough for him.

Hearing him call her “Mom” for the first time in forever, Sandra was so moved that tears welled up in her eyes.

Right then, all her troubles faded away. At that moment, her world was just her son.

Suddenly, Natasha felt like she was extra here, like a third wheel.

As soon as Collin called to say Roxanne was throwing Sandra out, Natasha came running back home.

But she realized now that Sandra didn’t really need her at all. What Sandra truly needed was her brother, Collin.

Because of everything with Joelle, Sandra had barely acknowledged Natasha for days. She acted like Natasha wasn’t even there.

Sandra’d grown noticeably thinner, her whole demeanor dull and lifeless.

But now, as she looked at Collin, her eyes were suddenly filled with warmth and hope.

It was like she’d come back to life.

That evening.

At Oceanview International.

Natasha lay in bed in her new home, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

If Collin hadn’t stepped in and taken that slap for her tonight, Sandra would’ve hit her all over again.

Lately, Sandra seemed to be hitting her more and more often.

And the way she looked at Natasha was growing colder and more hateful by the day.

No mother should ever look at her daughter like that.

All these years, whenever Roxanne or her father bullied Sandra, Natasha was always the first to rush in and stand up for her.

When Sandra disappeared this time, Natasha searched everywhere, doing whatever she could to find her.

Natasha even nearly got caught in Joelle’s trap and almost ended up in Gordon’s hands, all because she was trying to protect Sandra.

She thought, ‘But instead of thanking me, Mom keeps blaming me for everything.

Why does Mom ignore everything I do for her? How can she be so cold and act as if none of it matters?

‘Does she even see me as her daughter anymore?’

Nat felt crushed and hurt inside, like nothing made sense anymore.

She couldn’t fall asleep, tossing and turning for what felt like forever.

She grabbed her phone, planning to scroll through some random videos to distract herself.

Unexpectedly, a new message popped up.

She casually tapped it open.
