Chapter 111 He’s at Her Door
Chapter 111 He’s at Her Door
Natasha woke up from a nap.
It was already dark outside.
She was starving.
She ordered delivery while still in bed, then got up to freshen up.
The doorbell rang when she came out of the bathroom.
‘Wow, that was fast. Did they teleport my food?’ Natasha thought to herself.
She paused, then went to open the door.
As soon as she opened it, she was greeted by a tall, lean silhouette.
He was dressed in a sharp black suit, looking effortlessly elegant.
His deep, obsidian eyes stared straight at her, unblinking.
Natasha’s heart skipped a beat.
‘Why him?’ Natasha thought, her mind reeling.
Her first instinct was to try to close the door.
But he was quicker, reaching out his arm to block her.
He stopped her from closing it.
Left with no choice, Natasha let him in.
Jared closed the door behind him and pressed her back against the entryway.
“How did you find this place?” Natasha asked, blinking in confusion.
She hadn’t even told Percy about this address.
And she’d kept it hidden from the Whittier family, too.
‘How did he know?’ Natasha wondered.
Jared’s face was cold and brooding.
His eyes locked onto hers. “Of course, I had to use some tricks to find the woman who mooched off me.”
‘Mooched off him?’ Natasha thought, her jaw dropping.
“Come on, when did I ever mooch off you?” she shot back.
Jared moved in close, suddenly invading her personal space.
His warm breath was hot against her soft cheek.
“You had your way with me last night and then ran off this morning. Isn’t that mooching off me?” he murmured, his voice low and teasing.
Natasha was momentarily stunned.
She was nearly at a loss for words.
But she quickly shot back, “Come on, it wasn’t just me last night. You were all over me, too, weren’t you?”
‘We both got what we wanted, so we’re even, right? Neither of us was really mooching off, Natasha thought.
Jared narrowed his eyes. “I think you had a nervous disorder attack last night, didn’t you?
Natasha tried to keep her cool. “Does it matter?”
Jared’s gaze turned even darker. “I was your antidote, wasn’t I?”
Natasha was silent.
She had no comeback for that. He was right.
If Jared hadn’t shown up last night, her sudden nervous disorder attack with no meds would’ve been a nightmare.
“If you hadn’t kept flirting with me again and again, I wouldn’t have had that nervous disorder attack,” Natasha grumbled, clearly annoyed.
Sure, he acted as her timely remedy when her nervous disorder struck.
But if he hadn’t kept provoking her, she wouldn’t have had a nervous disorder attack so easily.

“So, I can actually mess with your nervous disorder and make you lose control?” Jared raised an eyebrow, secretly feeling a
rush of excitement.
Her nervous disorder was psychological from the start.
If he could trigger her nervous disorder, it meant he was slowly working his way into her heart.
“This has nothing to do with you. I was in a bad mood yesterday,” Natasha snapped, flatly denying it.
Her nervous disorder attack last night came out of nowhere, probably triggered by Bernard’s attitude.
“Why were you in such a bad mood? Was it because of your father?” Jared asked, fixing his eyes on her.
Natasha took a deep breath. “Forget it, it’s over. Doesn’t matter anymore.”
Jared locked his deep, intense gaze on her for a moment.
Then, without warning, he scooped her up in his arms.
Natasha let out a startled gasp.
Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around his neck so she wouldn’t slip from his grasp.
“What are you doing? Put me down,” Natasha protested.
She kept yelling and wriggling, trying to get away.
Jared set her down on the couch, then leaned in, his tall frame covering her completely.
She’d been on his mind all day.
After last night, he was hooked. His craving for her was spiraling out of control.
Jared couldn’t control himself anymore. He wanted her…
Honestly, he wished they could go on forever, never taking a break.
“I helped you out with your meltdown last night. So tonight, isn’t it your turn to return the favor and take care of me?” said Jared, leaning in.
His slender fingers played with her hair, brushing a loose strand aside.
His deep gaze fixed on her, his voice even lower and seductive.
“I don’t want this,” Natasha protested.
She instinctively fought back.
Her hands pushed hard against his chest.
She tried to shove him away, but he didn’t move an inch.
Instead, Jared’s kisses rained down on her, overwhelming and unstoppable.
“No…” Natasha whispered.
She barely managed to catch her breath and protested right away, desperate to break free.
Jared hesitated for a moment, his kisses pausing briefly.
His eyes darkened. “Why? Give me a reason.”
Jared thought, ‘It’s not like this is our first time together. Why is she acting so reluctant?’
Natasha’s eyes flickered, a hint of embarrassment flashing across her face. “I’m… not available today. It’s that time of the month.”
Jared guessed, “Are you on your period?”
‘Her timing is a bit too perfect, isn’t it? She was fine last night, and now she says it started tonight? That’s way too convenient’ Jared thought, suspicion flickering in his eyes.
“No.” Natasha shook her head, clearly embarrassed. “It’s inconvenient, that’s all.”
Jared’s eyes flashed with annoyance.
Inside, his mood soured even more.
‘So it’s not her period. She just doesn’t want to sleep with me?’ Jared thought, feeling even more pissed off.
“Are you still thinking about another man?” Jared’s voice was low, laced with danger.
By “another man,” Jared meant Percy.
Even if Percy was her official husband, it still pissed Jared off.

Chapter 111 He’s at Her Door
Every guy had this hang-up.
Any man would lose it if he thought the woman he was with was still thinking about another guy.
It was all about his ego and that possessive streak.
Under Jared’s intense, almost suffocating stare, Natasha finally blurted out, “This has nothing to do with another guy.”
Jared locked his gaze on her, his eyes intense. “So is guilt messing with you now?”
He reached out, tilted her chin up, and gave it a little shake. “Why the guilt now? Didn’t bother you before, did it?”
