Seeing Natasha embarrassed and trying to avoid him, Jared firmly parted her legs.

His heart clenched suddenly.

“Does it hurt?” Jared asked, frowning.

Natasha turned her face away, grumbling to herself, ‘Shouldn’t he know whether it hurts or not? Does he seriously not realize how wild he was last night?’

Jared fixed his gaze on her. “Why didn’t you say something earlier?”

He knew he’d been pent up for way too long, especially when it came to her.

Last night, he really couldn’t help himself.

But he never thought he’d actually hurt her.

Natasha bit her lip, way too embarrassed to say anything. “I just couldn’t bring myself to say it.”

‘How am I supposed to bring something like that up? Was I supposed to ask him to go easy on me? Natasha thought to herself.

Seeing Natasha looking so awkward and embarrassed, Jared apologized to her without waiting for her to ask.

“Sorry, I’ll be more gentle next time,” Jared said.

‘What does he mean? Did he seriously say next time?’ she thought.

“You think there’s going to be a next time?” she snapped, glaring up at him.

Jared’s face darkened at her words.

‘So she doesn’t want there to be a next time?’ Jared thought, feeling his mood sink.

“Didn’t you agree to the three-day promise? Wasn’t that why you spent the night with me?” Jared’s eyes grew dark as he couldn’t help but question her.

Natasha’s gaze wavered. “Last night, my nervous disorder hit out of nowhere. I honestly couldn’t think straight.”

Jared’s heart hit rock bottom.

“So you saw me as a quick fix when things got desperate, and you never meant to stick around?” he asked, his voice low and heavy.

His face grew darker as he grabbed her shoulders, making her look up at him.

Natasha hesitated, her voice barely above a whisper. “I… I’m still married.”

She was still technically tied to Percy. She wasn’t even free.

‘How could I possibly be responsible for him?’ Natasha thought.

Jared’s brows furrowed. “So when are you planning to get divorced?”

His hazel eyes locked onto her pale face, and he exuded a forceful, intimidating aura that made it hard to breathe.

‘Is Mr. Rundell so desperate for a woman like me?

“Divorce isn’t something that happens overnight. Honestly, with your looks and status, you… don’t need to wait around for me…” Natasha said, steeling herself.

“So in the end, you want to mooch off me, huh?” he shot back.

Jared thought, ‘She just wants to have her way with me and then pretend nothing ever happened.
