Joelle said haughtily, “I want everything else except these few.”

The salesgirl was stunned for a moment before she finally realized what Joelle meant.

‘Damn, she’s the real VIP here, the salesgirl thought, eyes wide in shock.

Joelle was basically buying out almost the entire women’s section of the store.

The manager hurried over, eager to thank her personally.

The manager was even more polite and respectful toward Joelle than before.

Joelle, getting annoyed, barked at them to hurry up and pack them all.

The manager nodded respectfully and ordered her staff to start packing everything right away.

Then she marched up to Percy with the POS machine in hand.

Clearly, she expected him to foot the bill.

Percy barely frowned, his expression almost unnoticeable.

He never imagined that a simple shopping trip with Joelle would turn into her practically buying out the whole store.

The way she spent money, no regular guy could ever afford that.

“Percy, why are you just standing there? Swipe your card already,” Joelle snapped.

“This is how I always shop for clothes. If you’re so stingy about spending money, don’t come shopping with me,” Joelle snapped.

Then, she gave him a dismissive glance and reached for her card to pay herself.

“Wait… Joelle, don’t be mad,” Percy said, quickly trying to stop her.

‘If Joelle paid for it herself, I swear she’d never even look at me again, Percy thought.

With a resigned sigh, Percy gritted his teeth, fished out one of his credit cards, and handed it over to the manager.

Joelle let it go, for now.

But a moment later, the manager returned, looking apologetic. “Sir, I’m sorry, but your card didn’t go through.”

Percy paused, then handed over another card. “Try this one.”

The manager took it, ran it through, and came back with the same result.

“Sorry, this one didn’t go through either,” she said.

Percy kept pulling out card after card, handing them over to the manager one by one.

But not a single one went through. All of them got declined.

Joelle finally had enough.

“Just drop it. I don’t want any of it. All of it,” she snapped.

She felt so embarrassed that she could die.

‘Since when can’t I afford to pay for things?’ Joelle fumed to herself.

Joelle regretted ever coming out with Percy, the illegitimate son, today.

‘Typical, the illegitimate kids are always so petty. Can’t even cover a shopping bill, she thought.

Fuming, Joelle spun around and stormed off, furious and embarrassed.

Percy hurried after her. “Joelle, wait. Let me explain…”

Natasha stepped out of the fitting room.

Watching the whole mess go down, she felt vindicated.

She was the one who called from inside the fitting room and had Percy’s credit cards blocked.

That’s what made Percy suffer a huge humiliation in front of Joelle.

Joelle always went all out when it came to spending money.

Now that she saw how little money Percy actually had, Natasha figured Joelle would probably cut him off for good.

Finally, Natasha felt like she’d gotten her revenge.

“Miss, that dress looks amazing on you,” one of the salesgirls gushed, her eyes full of admiration.

Natasha stepped up to the mirror and spun around, checking herself out from every angle.

She had to admit, the dress fit her perfectly, showing off her curves in all the right places.

Natasha was satisfied. “How much is it?” she asked.

The salesgirl grinned at her, a teasing glint in her eyes. “Your boyfriend already picked up the tab for you.”

Natasha paused, surprised.

‘Boyfriend? Wait, is the salesgirl talking about Jared?’ she wondered.

“Wait, he’s not…” Natasha blurted out, feeling the urge to clear things up.

Another salesgirl came over, practically swooning. “Miss, your boyfriend dotes on you! He didn’t just pay for this dress. He went all out and bought almost everything in the store for you.”

“What?” Natasha exclaimed, her eyes going wide in shock.

Natasha rushed over to Jared, needing to hear it straight from him.
