Under Jared’s unwavering stare, she figured she’d better get out of there as soon as possible.

“Mr. Rundell, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head out now,” she said, turning to leave.

But Jared’s voice called out from behind, “Are you just leaving your panties behind?”

She spun around and rushed back to him.

Jared’s deep eyes stayed locked on her. “Are you taking it or not?”

Natasha felt utterly awkward.

She deliberately lowered her voice. “Did you toss it?”

Jared said, “No, it’s still on my bed.”

‘He actually just left my underwear on his bed? What’s he up to?’ she wondered, mortified and totally confused.

Flustered and annoyed, she urged, “Just toss it already!”

Jared replied, “No way. Whenever I can’t sleep at night, I’ll pull it out and take a whiff.”

“You!” Natasha blurted out, totally flustered.

‘God, he’s such a pervert!’ she thought, her face burning with embarrassment.

“Just give it back already!” Natasha ordered, having reached her limit.

‘There’s no way I’m actually letting him sniff it every night,’ she thought.

Jared jumped at the chance. “Come over to my place tonight, and I’ll hand it to you.”

Natasha’s face stiffened.

‘Seriously, he wants me at his place again?’ she thought, exasperated. ‘Who knows if he’s got something shady planned?’ “I’m married, you know. It’s really inconvenient for me to go to your place alone,” she said, trying to sound firm.

Jared’s eyes grew even darker, not a trace of warmth left.

Things might not have been so awkward if she hadn’t mentioned being married.

Now that she brought it up, she was clearly drawing a clear boundary with him, telling him to give up.

“No, I’m not going!” she snapped, making her refusal obvious.

She shot him a furious glare, her face flushed with shame and anger.

Jared gave her a knowing look. “So, what do you think your husband would think if he found out your panties were on my bed?”

Natasha’s heart skipped a beat.

She rushed up to him.

“Don’t you dare mess around,” she warned, her voice low and urgent.
