Chapter 166 Been Over Him for Ages
Chapter 186 Been Over Him for Ages
“None of your damn business!” Natasha shot right back, not holding anything in
Joelle puffed out her chest, glaring at Natasha with pure disdain. “I’m the real Whittier here, and you’re nothing but a homeless mutt. So yeah, it is my business, don’t you think so?”
Natasha gave a dismissive smirk. ‘She talks as if the Whittier family is something so impressive, she thought I stopped caring about the Whittier family a long time ago,” she shot back, tossed her hair, and turned to walk away
“What about Percy?” Joelle called out behind her, her tone full of mockery.
Natasha stopped in her tracks and turned to look at her. She shrugged, totally indifferent. “If you want him, take him He’s all yours.” She had been over him for ages.
Joelle froze, unexpectedly stunned. She couldn’t even put it into words. All this time, the only reason she had kept things flirtatious with Percy was because of Natasha.
Percy was the only man around Natasha who never fell for her. And yet, he ended up marrying Natasha. Now Joelle could finally snatch Natasha’s husband right out from under her. She wanted Natasha to finally have a taste of having someone steal her man right out from under her.
Joelle knew that every time she was with Percy, it hurt Natasha, which she could see in her eyes. She got a kick out of it, always stringing Percy along to mess with Natasha.
But she never saw it coming, that Natasha was a whole different person now. It was like Natasha couldn’t care less that Joelle was with Percy these days.
“Are you really over it, or are you just pretending?” Joelle asked, narrowing her eyes at Natasha in disbelief.
Natasha gave her a casual glance. “Looks like you’re the one pretending.”
Joelle’s eyes narrowed. “What did you just say?” she asked.
Natasha’s gaze turned razor-sharp. “After your messy divorce and that whole suicide drama, if you’re so desperate for a guy to comfort you right now, I honestly can understand it.”
“You!” Joelle spat. Her expression changed instantly, shock and fury battling for control. Natasha’s words struck her right in her deepest wound.
Getting dumped by Nicolas was a scar Joelle could never get over. It was always there, haunting her. And now, Natasha had just ripped that old wound wide open, making it sting all over again. Joelle’s hatred for Natasha burned so fiercely
“Natasha, don’t get cocky. Sooner or later, Percy’s gonna dump you, too,” Joelle snapped, her voice laced with both threat and spite.
Natasha shrugged, tossing a smirk. “At least I’m not gonna pull a dramatic suicide stunt as you did.”
She was all about loving herself. She wasn’t about to go crazy over some guy. So after the divorce, she wasn’t really all that broken up about it.
Actually, she had ended up as friends with benefits with her boss, so now she had someone to scratch that itch whenever she wanted. Honestly, it was all to her benefit, but Joelle would never get it.
Ever since she was a kid, Joelle had been brainwashed by Roxanne, dreaming of marrying into money and having some rich, powerful husband to back her up.
She had finally made it happen, only for her whole dream to come crashing down in an instant. For Joelle, that kind of blow was enough to shatter her world. ‘No wonder she’s always making a scene, threatening to end it all.
‘And now she still has the guts to talk big shamelessly right in front of me?’ Natasha thought. She didn’t even want to waste her breath on her.
Natasha had just reached the stairway when, from behind her, Joelle suddenly let out a furious, venomous shout, ‘Bitch, go to hell!”
Before Natasha could react, Joelle shoved her hard from behind. Natasha lost her balance in an instant and tumbled down the stairs. Her whole body hurt so much, it felt like her bones didn’t even belong to her anymore.
Her forehead slammed into the wall next to the stairs. With a thud, Natasha slammed into the wall. Pain shot through her, stabbing deep, so sharp it made her see stars.
She could feel blood oozing from a fresh gash on her forehead. She lay crumpled on the floor, frozen and helpless, not moving an inch for what felt like forever. It was ages before she could catch her breath and start to move again.
When Natasha looked up, Joelle was standing at the stairway, her face twisted into a malicious, triumphant smirk. That

grin said it all: “Serves you right. Bet you didn’t think I’d go this far, huh?”
Natasha’s brows knitted tightly. She knew Joelle was the one who had shoved her. Even after the divorce and that whole suicide mess, Joelle was, in some ways, just a sad case.
But that didn’t change the fact that Joelle was still downright vicious. Especially when it came to Natasha, her half-sister, Joelle had never shown any mercy, not even once.
Hearing the sound, the servants rushed over. When they saw blood on Natasha’s forehead, they were shocked out of their wits.
“Miss Natasha, are you alright?” one of the servants asked, her voice trembling with worry. Another servant quickly moved to help Natasha up.
Natasha’s vision blurred, everything spinning into a dizzy haze. Her whole body felt numb, like she couldn’t feel a thing she couldn’t even twitch a muscle.
Barely hanging on, she managed to squeeze out a weak, “Call an ambulance!” Someone grabbed their phone, ready to call
“Nobody calls an ambulance!” Joelle snapped, her voice slicing through the chaos.
She was the Whittier family’s “real” heiress, spoiled rotten and always throwing her weight around. Not a single servant wasn’t afraid of her. They all shrank back, too scared to even get close to Natasha.
Natasha knew she could only rely on herself, rather than to count on anyone else. Everyone here worked for the Whittiers With Joelle calling the shots, nobody dared to step in.
But Natasha didn’t want to die. She knew if she didn’t get to the hospital right now, she was done for. With trembling hands she pulled out her phone from her pocket with all her might.
However, she had barely pressed a button when Joelle kicked her phone, sending it flying across the floor. “Still trying to call 911 for help? Forget it. Just stay here and fend for yourself!” Joelle sneered. With a cold, venomous glint in her eyes, she turned and walked away.
Before leaving, she took the other servants with her. She kicked Natasha’s phone again, and this time, it was even further out of reach.
Natasha lay alone on the icy ground, every inch of her body hurt so much that it felt like she was coming apart at the seams. But she wasn’t going to lie there and let the pain kill her. She had to figure out a way to save herself.
Natasha bit down hard, fighting through the pain. She crawled, inch by inch, toward her phone, every move sending fresh waves of pain through her body.
Those few feet felt like a freaking canyon, like she was staring at a cliff she would never get across. No matter how hard she tried, it was just impossible.
Right when she was about to give up hope, her phone suddenly started ringing. She reached out, fingers trembling, desperately trying to grab it. But no matter how hard she tried, it was still just barely out of reach.
Natasha was so exhausted, she couldn’t even cry. She was totally spent, couldn’t budge another inch. Finally, everything went dark, and she passed out cold.
