Chapter 20 The First Time
Chapter 20 The First Time
Natasha’s lashes fluttered.
She turned her face away, unable to meet Jared’s gaze.
‘How am I supposed to answer that?
‘Am I supposed to admit I actually want to have sex with him?’ she wondered.
If he were just some ordinary guy, she wouldn’t have hesitated.
But of all people, he just had to be her boss.
Natasha honestly had zero desire to let things with him go beyond a professional relationship.
Not to mention, she was at that time of the month right now…
Jared’s strong hands gripped her waist, holding her firmly against him.
His lips found her ear, kissing and biting-sometimes gentle, sometimes rough. “From the back. I won’t put it in…”
Natasha’s mind went blank at his words.
Before she could react, he’d already pushed her down onto the back seat.
Her heart was pounding in her throat.
Her skirt was pushed up.
Jared moved in behind her, pressing close…
Just then, a sharp knock sounded on the window.
Natasha looked up and saw a traffic cop in uniform standing outside.
‘Oh my god, Natasha thought. ‘Are we seriously getting busted by the cops for messing around in here?’
Luckily, the windows of his luxury car were tinted.
No one could see inside from the outside.
If not, Natasha would’ve wanted to crawl under a rock from embarrassment.
Jared draped his shirt over Natasha to cover her, then lowered the window halfway.
“Sir, no parking here,” the cop said, pulling out his ticket book.
“ID, please,” he demanded, his expression stern.
Jared was still a little out of breath, sweat trickling down his forehead and temples.
They’d been right in the middle of things, and getting interrupted like this was a total mood killer.
“Hurry up, ID!” The young cop, probably in his twenties, was getting impatient, his tone sharp.
Jared shot him a look. “My phone’s busted. Mind if I borrow yours to call my lawyer?”
The cop hesitated for a second.
But then he noticed the car-a multi-million dollar ride.
‘Rich people are always such a pain, the cop thought.
“Hurry up.” He handed over his phone, sounding even more impatient.
Jared dialed a number right in front of the cop, gave some quick instructions, then handed the phone back. “If you’ve got anything to say, or want to give me a ticket, just take it up with my lawyer.”
Natasha was gradually calming her breathing.
Seeing the cop, she suddenly realized their car was parked by the roadside, blocking other vehicles.
She tugged at Jared’s arm, telling him to chill out a bit.
She definitely didn’t want to end up at the police station for a midnight lecture.
Jared gave her shoulder a gentle, reassuring pat, telling her not to worry.
The young cop took the phone, looking like he was about to lose his temper.
But after hearing from the person on the other end, his expression shifted dramatically.
“My car broke down-the front wheel slipped into a pothole and got stuck, so I had to pull over and wait for roadside assistance…” Jared explained quietly.

The young cop quickly apologized, looking flustered. “I should’ve checked the situation first. I’ll get someone over here to help you out right away.”
Jared replied, “Really appreciate it, officer.”
Natasha was speechless.
She glanced at the cop, who looked like he’d just seen a ghost, and couldn’t help but feel a bit confused.
‘He was just about to give us a ticket, so why did his attitude do a complete 180?’ she wondered.
What Natasha didn’t know was that Jared hadn’t called his lawyer at all.
He’d gone straight to the police chief’s office:
Over the phone, the chief tore into the young cop, ordering him to handle things properly and not to cause any trouble. Soon enough, the roadside assistance crew arrived.
They got the front wheel of Jared’s luxury car out of the ditch.
The young cop stood there, watching the fancy car fade away. He couldn’t help but wonder, ‘Who the hell was that man The chief was practically kissing up to him like he was his long-lost dad.’
Just three months into the job, he was starting to realize just how deep the waters ran in this line of work.

Natasha got home late that night.
The first thing she did was head straight for the shower.
Even though the cop had interrupted them, she and Jared had almost done it right there in his car.
Her skin was still burning hot.
She’d never been kissed or touched by anyone other than her husband, let alone have almost slept with someone else. This was a first.
Not even Percy had ever gone this far with her.
After they got married, Percy always claimed he was a germophobe and refused to touch her.
Even when he kissed her, it was just for show-never anything real.
But tonight, when Jared kissed her for the first time, it was so deep-she’d never experienced anything like it.
Natasha had never even had a real French kiss before.
He kissed her so deeply she almost couldn’t breathe.
In the end, she was completely limp in his arms.
She couldn’t deny it: she was totally into it.
Maybe it was just because she hadn’t felt a man’s touch in ages.
She was just desperate for a guy.
After all, she was a woman with normal physical needs.
With her husband giving her the cold shoulder for so long, she’d feel miserable.
And on top of that, her episode was acting up again.
She was like dry tinder. Just one spark, and she’d go up in flames.
Now that she’d cooled off, Natasha couldn’t help but feel a wave of guilt wash over her.
Thank goodness nothing actually happened between her and Jared in the end.
Otherwise, she honestly wouldn’t know how to face him ever again.
Before bed, Natasha scrolled through her phone one last time.
She tapped open the photo Dorothy had sent and enlarged it for a closer look.
It was a selfie of Joelle on the streets of Tamont, with a blurry figure beside her that looked a lot like Percy.
So Percy must’ve followed Joelle all the way to Tamont.
No wonder he didn’t want to head back home with her.
He’d already decided last night to fly out to Tamont and follow Joelle.
Natasha was seething with anger.
