Percy signaled the bodyguards behind him. The bodyguards immediately stepped forward, surrounding Joelle. “Let me go.. Joelle shouted and struggled desperately. But the bodyguards dragged her straight toward Percy’s luxury car.

‘Is Percy really forcing his love on Joelle?’ Natasha wondered. ‘Is he so possessive that he’s actually going to lock her up? Then why bother acting all concerned about me?’

“No,” Natasha shook her head, then looked at Percy. “You’re here for her, right?”

“I came for you, too,” Percy said, his eyes fixed on her.

Natasha blinked in surprise. “Me?”

Percy stared right at her face. “You said you weren’t feeling well earlier.”

Natasha was taken aback. ‘Is he seriously here just because I said I felt unwell? Yeah, right. As if that would ever happen,’ she thought.

She had long grown used to Percy’s indifference, his complete lack of concern for her. Let alone the idea that a single word from her would make him rush over from the cemetery to find her.

Percy’s eyes flashed with a rare tenderness. “Are you free tomorrow night? I want to have dinner with you, just the two of us.”

Natasha’s brows furrowed. ‘Dinner with you? What could it possibly be about?’ she wondered. ‘I’ve attended your brother’s funeral with you today. What else do you want from me?’ she thought.

“I have to work overtime tomorrow night,” Natasha politely declined.
