“Natasha, are you seriously thinking of hitting me?” Roxanne shot her a sharp glare.

Natasha curled her lip in disdain. “I’m afraid I’ll get my hands dirty.”

Roxanne was so angry she nearly lost it.

Meanwhile, Joelle seized the moment, acting all protective as she stepped in front of Roxanne. “Natasha, how can you talk to my mom like that?”

Natasha shot back coldly, “This isn’t the Whittier family’s place. You can’t just throw your weight around here!”

Then, Natasha turned to the manager next to her, handed over her card, and said, “Mr. Todd, right? I want this dress.”

The manager nodded eagerly, flattering her. “Yes, Ma’am!”

Natasha flicked her long hair and shot a cold look at Roxanne and Joelle. “From now on, these two are banned from our store!”

“Will do!” the manager replied.

“Natasha, you wouldn’t dare!” Joelle shouted, her face twisted with rage.

Meanwhile, Roxanne looked like she could burn a hole through Natasha with her glare.

But the manager had already called security to escort the mother and daughter out of the store.

Natasha left the store not long after. As she walked out, she couldn’t help but think to herself, ‘What was that all about? Who’s secretly backing me up behind the scenes?’

Dorothy was just as confused. “Nat, when did you become the owner of the TF brand?”

Natasha shook her head. “I don’t even know myself.”

Dorothy was stunned. “You don’t even know? Then who does?”

It wasn’t like the TF brand’s owner just dropped out of nowhere.

Natasha stopped in her tracks. A wave of emotions surged inside her.

She knew that nothing in life comes for free.

It wasn’t like she was connected to any big shots.

Except for Jared Rundell.

‘Could it really be Jared?’ Natasha thought to herself.

After getting home, Natasha called Jared.

“Got something to say?” Jared kept his tone cool and direct.

Inwardly, he was pleasantly surprised that Natasha had called him first.

But since he was in the middle of a video conference, he had to keep his emotions in check.

“Hey, are you busy?” Natasha asked cautiously.

“What’s up?” Jared’s voice was low and smooth, almost magnetic.

Natasha asked, “Did you buy the TF brand?”

Jared paused the video conference.

“I did.” Jared owned up right away.

Natasha blinked, “Seriously? That was you?”

Jared said, “You know the mall you were shopping at? It belongs to me.”

Natasha was shocked all over again. She didn’t know he owned the whole place.

Natasha hadn’t seen that coming. ‘He’s got way more money than I ever guessed!’

She pressed her lips together. “So, you knew about everything that happened at the mall just now?”

Jared replied, “Don’t forget, I’ve got your back. Anytime, anywhere.”

Natasha was speechless. Her heart skipped a beat.

She couldn’t deny she was touched. After all, no one had ever said they’d stand up for her before.

Natasha protested, flustered. “This is way too generous. I really can’t take it!”

She couldn’t believe he gave her an entire brand so casually. ‘How could I ever repay him for a gift this massive?’

Jared narrowed his eyes, a playful glint in them. “If you really feel awkward about accepting it, maybe you should consider getting a little closer to me.”

Natasha was completely stunned.

“What?” she blurted out, barely able to get the word out.

She could hardly believe what she was hearing.

‘Did he just say he wants us to take things to the next level?’ Natasha thought, her mind reeling..

‘What does he mean by “getting a little closer to him?” Natasha wondered, her heart pounding.

“Take your time,” Jared said.

He gave her a gentle smile, his voice soft and warm.

After hanging up, Jared kept staring at his phone, a smile lingering in his eyes.

The execs in the video conference were all exchanging bewildered glances.

‘Did hell just freeze over?’ one of them thought.

‘Why is the boss suddenly grinning like a lovesick teenager?’ another wondered.

Joelle and Roxanne had just stepped out of the mall when a familiar Bentley pulled up in front of them.

The back window rolled down, revealing Percy’s sharp, brooding face.

Joelle couldn’t help but tense up the moment she saw him.

After all, she’d escaped from Percy’s villa before.

She still hadn’t told Percy the one thing he wanted to know most. Who the owner of the handkerchief was.

Percy wasn’t about to let her off the hook.

“Percy, you’re here for Joelle, right?” Roxanne called out, taking the initiative.

“Actually, I’m here for you both. Please, let me give you a ride,” Percy said, his tone steady and composed.

Roxanne beamed. “No need, I’m meeting some girlfriends for a spa day. You go ahead and take Joelle.”

With that, she hurried Joelle into the car, giving her daughter a series of knowing looks, clearly hinting she should grab this opportunity.
