Chapter 224 Only Accept His Roses
Chapter 224 Only Accept His Roses
When Natasha rushed to the office, she noticed all her colleagues were staring at her.
She walked into her office, looking puzzled.
To her astonishment, there was a huge bouquet of stunning, dewy roses sitting on her desk.
“Who sent these roses?” Natasha asked.
Just then, Janet happened to walk by, and Natasha quickly stopped her to ask.
“Of course, they’re for you, Joelle,” Janet replied with a smile. “The exclusive delivery guy from OnlyLove brought them earlier. I showed him your office, and he just dropped off the flowers and left.”
Natasha was stunned.
‘Those are for me?’ Natasha thought, surprised.
She went back to her desk and examined the bouquet closely.
No card, no signature, nothing. She had absolutely no clue who sent them.
Janet looked at her with envy. “Only Love? That’s so lavish and romantic. Mr. Grosso really treats you well!”
Natasha was familiar with OnlyLove, the flower shop.
It was the priciest flower shop in the whole city.
Wealthy businessmen and rich heirs always chose this shop when they wanted to woo a woman.
And for women, getting flowers from OnlyLove was a total flex.
Janet had heard that Natasha hadn’t been single since she first joined the company.
So, she just assumed the roses were from Percy.
But Natasha had already broken up with him.
The moment she saw the roses, her gut told her it had to be Jared.
He really didn’t strike her as the kind of guy who’d send roses to a woman.
But who else could it be? Jared was the only man she was sleeping with.
“If you like them, take them!” Natasha urged.
!
Janet wanted them so badly, but she just shook her head and said no. “No way, I wouldn’t dare. If Mr. Grosso found out, he’ d totally flip out on you.”
Natasha was at a loss for words.
She didn’t give the flowers much thought.
To her, it was probably just Jared’s way of trying to keep their thing going.
But she couldn’t go along with that.
She’d already made up her mind to leave here for good, to walk away from the Whittier family.
She could never be someone’s mistress for life.
Even though Jared was flawless in every way, she would never break her own rules.
She would never compromise her principles.
As the workday was winding down, Jared called Natasha into his office.
“Come with me to the cocktail party tonight,” he said.
Natasha was caught off guard. “Why me?”
Jared raised an eyebrow. “Is there a problem?”
Natasha gave him a skeptical look. “Isn’t Leigh the one who usually tags along with you for these things?”
Jared stared at her. “Leigh used to, but from now on, you’re the one.”
Natasha was momentarily stunned. “Wait, why Successfully unlocked!
Jared gave her a meaningful look. “With the way ya uu you really think it’s okay for me to bring another woman?”

Chapter 224 Only Accept His Roses
Natasha was speechless. Deep down, she wanted to ask him, ‘What’s the big deal?”
She wasn’t his girlfriend, let alone his wife. She wasn’t about to get jealous over it, anyway.
But before she could say anything, Jared slid a big box across the desk to her. “Go put it on.”
Natasha had no choice but to take the box.
Just as she was about to head to the lounge to change, something suddenly occurred to her, and she turned back.
“I got the flowers you sent. Thanks, but can you not send me flowers at work anymore?” Natasha said, a little embarrassed.
Even though there was no name on the bouquet, it still caught her colleagues’ attention. If this kept happening, it’s bound to get found out eventually.
Jared had been in a great mood that day.
But as soon as he heard her words, his expression instantly turned cold.
His eyes grew darker, more dangerous than ever as he stared at her.
After Natasha finished speaking, Jared stayed silent for quite a while.
‘Am I asking for too much?’ she started to feel uncertain. ‘Is he seriously not going to agree to something this simple? Does he really have to be so overbearing?”
But to her surprise, Jared shot back, “Wait, what roses? I never sent you any flowers!”
His gaze instantly turned cold.
Hearing that, Natasha froze for a second.
Suddenly, she felt her cheeks burn with embarrassment and frustration.
She really thought those roses were from him. And at that moment, she felt awkward. Guess she was totally off the mark.
“Uh, I’ll go change!” Natasha mumbled.
She spun around and quickly headed to the changing room.
“Hey, did some guy send you flowers?” Jared suddenly called out from behind her.
Natasha quickly shook her head. “N-no, nobody did!”
She couldn’t even meet his eyes.
She sped up and left in a hurry.
Once she got to the lounge, Natasha pressed her back against the door, panting a little.
After a few quick breaths, she finally opened up the dress box.
Inside was a pink waist-cinching dress.
The material and cut were seriously high-end.
And the pink made her skin look even more radiant.
Natasha slipped into the dress without a second thought.
She walked into the bathroom and gave herself a fresh makeover to suit the new dress.
When Natasha opened the door and walked out, Jared was instantly captivated. She took his breath away.
The dress he’d carefully picked out for her fit perfectly, just like he’d imagined. She looked like she was made for it.
“Beautiful,” Jared said, unable to hide the admiration in his eyes.
Natasha smiled softly. “Thanks.”
Jared stretched out his hand. Somehow, he magically appeared with an even grander, more beautiful bouquet of roses and offered it to her.
“Do you like flowers? This one’s yours,” he said softly.
His gaze was deep and gentle as he watched her.
Natasha was taken aback. She’d only gone to change her dress for a few minutes, and somehow Jared had magically produced a bouquet of roses out of nowhere.
Did he seriously call the flower shop and have them deliver it at lightning speed?’ she wondered.
When Natasha hesitated to take the bouquet, Jared frowned, clearly annoyed. “What? You don’t like the ones I gave you?”
Natasha was just caught off guard. She never expected Jared to hand her another huge bouquet of roses so soon.
