Chapter 236 Wash Her Sheets
Chapter 236 Wash Her Sheets
Natasha knew that getting her period at such a time was a real mood killer for any guy.
But she never expected it to happen right at that moment. It was such a coincidence.
She quickly got out of bed and rushed into the bathroom to change into clean pants as fast as she could.
When she returned to the room, she was surprised to see that Jared had changed the sheets.
She felt a wave of awkwardness wash over her.
‘Did I seriously just stain the sheets by accident?’ Natasha wondered.
“Let me take that,” Natasha blurted out, rushing over to grab the sheets Jared had just changed.
“Go get some rest. I’ll take care of the laundry,” Jared said, stepping in before she could protest.
Natasha froze, thinking she must have misheard.
A guy like him, willing to wash the sheets with period stains, was so out of character.
And it was Jared, of all people. It felt unreal.
But before Natasha could say a word, Jared had already carried the sheets out to the balcony’s washing area.
She followed him to the balcony.
There, she saw Jared bent over the sink, carefully washing the sheets, his attention completely focused.
The soft light bathed his face, making his features look even more striking.
His profile looked chiseled and handsome, almost unreal in the gentle glow.
Natasha suddenly realized that Jared wasn’t as distant and unapproachable as she’d always thought.
He’d even go out of his way to do things for a woman that most guys wouldn’t ever touch.
But even so, Natasha felt bad about letting him do any more for her.
“Jared, I’ll do it myself!” she said, feeling embarrassed.
But Jared insisted again, “Get some rest. You should take care of yourself while you’re on your period.”
Natasha hesitated, feeling awkward. “But…”
Jared shot her a look, his tone full of implication. “So, how did Percy treat you before? Don’t tell me he actually made you do stuff when you were on your period?”
Natasha was completely stumped.
She couldn’t exactly admit that Percy never even noticed when she was on her period.
Whether she did chores or not was beside the point.
Seeing that Natasha didn’t say anything, Jared figured he’d guessed right.
He felt bad for her and was mad at the same time.
“See? That’s why you should’ve kicked that loser to the curb and picked me. I’ll wash your sheets every damn day if I have to!” Jared said, dead serious.
“Enough already!” Natasha blurted out, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
She was so embarrassed she couldn’t take it anymore. Her face was bright red as she bolted out of the room. She couldn’t deal with this anymore.
When she got back to bed, she found herself spacing out, unable to shake off what had just happened.
Her mind kept replaying the scene of Jared on the balcony, carefully washing the sheets stained with her period.
And his words to her echoed over and over in her head.
If she were being honest, Jared cared about her so much more than Percy ever had.
He was willing to go above and beyond for her.
If he were just a regular guy, maybe Natasha would’ve seriously thought about getting closer to him.
But he wasn’t.
With the kind of family he came from, his future
For them, there was only now. No tomorrow.

Chapter 236 Wash Her Sheets
She had to hold herself back and not let herself get swept up by his treatment.
Just as she was lost in thought, there was a knock at the door.
Jared walked in, holding a cup of hot milk.
He handed it to her and said, “Here, drink this.”
Natasha stared at the hot milk Jared handed her, a little taken aback.
She couldn’t help but ask, “How did you know I wanted this?”
‘Is this something he picked up from an ex?’ Natasha wondered.
Jared raised an eyebrow. “I saw my sister drink this whenever she was on her period.”
Pretty much everything he knew about women came from Sharon.
“Thanks,” Natasha said, taking the cup from him and giving him a grateful smile.
She drank the whole thing, and whether it was just in her head or not, she genuinely felt a lot better.
“Thanks for putting up with me tonight,” Natasha said, giving him a genuinely grateful look.
She looked at him again, her eyes full of appreciation.
Her period showing up was totally out of the blue.
Jared had just gotten back from a business trip, probably hoping to spend some intimate time with her.
But he hadn’t even gotten over the jet lag yet, and he was already running around taking care of her.
Natasha was really touched deep down.
They were just friends with benefits, so he had no reason to take care of her like this.
But he was going above and beyond what any friend-with-benefits would ever do.
Jared reached out and took her hand. “You don’t have to be so formal with me.”
Honestly, he just wished she’d let herself depend on him a little more.
Instead of always acting as if an invisible wall existed between them.
At the Grosso mansion, after dealing with a few heiresses, Percy finally made his way back to his mother’s bedroom.
As soon as Lily saw him, she asked, “So, what do you think of those girls?”
Percy frowned. “Mom, I told you before, I’m not thinking about this right now!”
Lily’s face fell. “If you’re not going to think about it now, then when? You’ve already broken up with Natasha, and you can’t stay single forever, can you? The Grosso family’s counting on you to give us an heir.”
Percy repeated, “Didn’t I tell you we’re not announcing the breakup yet? By calling me back to meet all those heiresses, you’ re basically telling everyone something’s wrong between Natasha and me.”
Lily shot back, “Your relationship is already over. What’s so hard about admitting it? You don’t need to keep it under wraps for her anymore. Just announce the breakup and start finding someone new.”
Percy couldn’t care less about his mom’s matchmaking.
Natasha was the only one he wanted.
But his mom kept forcing him to meet a bunch of heiresses.
Honestly, each one was worse than the last.
“I’m not looking for anyone else right now!” Percy snapped.
Lily looked genuinely surprised.
She stared at Percy in disbelief. “Wait… you’re still hung up on Joelle?”
