Chapter 241 Percy’s Blind Dates
Chapter 241 Percy’s Blind Dates
Percy had been biting his tongue around Dorothy the entire way.
But with him having something on her, he could legitimately harm Dorothy.
But Natasha wasn’t about to give him that chance.
“If you’re so determined to punish anyone who leaked our secret, then the first person you should go after isn’t Dorothy, but your precious Joelle!
She fixed Percy with a sharp gaze as she spoke.
Percy’s eyes darkened after hearing that.
He knew Natasha wasn’t lying to him.
In fact, Joelle was the very first person to spill the beans about his relationship with Natasha.
Moreover, she was the one who told his mom, Lily, about their breakup.
Otherwise, his mom wouldn’t have been forcing him to go on all those blind dates lately.
Bottom line, this was all Joelle’s doing.
Seeing Percy go quiet, Natasha knew he had conceded.
“If there’s nothing else, I’m out,” she said.
She lowered her gaze and reached for the car door, about to step out.
But just as she was about to get out, Percy suddenly called out from behind her, “Is Mr. Jackson, the one you had dinner with tonight, your new guy?”
Natasha froze.
She shot him a cold look. “I don’t owe you an answer to that.”
He needed to get one thing straight; They were nothing but strangers.
There was nothing left between them. Not even a thread.
Even if she had someone new, it was none of his business.
Percy’s eyes turned cold. “What if I insist on knowing?”
Natasha knew that with his current status, he could easily mess with anyone he wanted.
First it was Dorothy, then Zayn. He could mess with anyone he wanted.
‘Gosh, why should I have to put up with his threats?’
Natasha locked eyes with him and let out a mocking laugh. “Do you even realize how pathetic you look right now? Like some petty, jealous ex-husband. But Percy, ask yourself. Do you actually care?”
Her words hit Percy hard, leaving him stunned and at a loss for words.
Percy found himself questioning his own feelings.
‘Do I really care if Natasha has someone new?’ he wondered. ‘Is it just my ego getting in the way, or is there something deeper going on?’
Percy was left speechless, unable to come up with an answer.
Meanwhile, Natasha couldn’t stand being around him anymore.
Not waiting for Percy’s reply, she turned and stepped out of the car.
That night, Natasha stayed over at Dorothy’s place.
It had been ages since they’d shared a bed.
After their showers, they climbed into bed together, sharing a single blanket.
But neither of them could sleep.
Seeing Natasha still awake, Dorothy finally couldn’t hold it in anymore. “I think Percy might actually have a thing for you!” Natasha blinked in disbelief.
It was as if Dorothy had just told her the craziest joke.
“He has a thing for me? Seriously, do you think that’s even possible?” she scoffed.

Chapter 241 Percy’s Blind Dates
If Percy had feelings for her, things wouldn’t have ended the way they currently are.
“Why not? Maybe he’s actually into you now,” Dorothy just shrugged it off.
Natasha shook her head without a second thought. “Percy falling for me? Stop speaking nonsense.”
In her mind, Percy was literally the last guy on earth who’d ever catch feelings for her.
The only reason things got this bad between them was that Percy had always had this deep-seated dislike for her.
How could a man who couldn’t even stand the sight of her suddenly fall head over heels for her?
Dorothy squinted a little. “Yeah, it’s weird. Wasn’t Percy always head over heels for your sister Joelle? So why does it feel like now he’s suddenly got his eye on you?”.
Natasha shrugged, “Maybe he and Joelle had a fight or something. But even if Joelle were out of the picture, trust me, he’d never be into me.”
She knew exactly the kind of women Percy liked.
He was all about those rich, powerful heiresses from big-shot families.
Meanwhile, she was just a nobody, born out of wedlock. Definitely not his type.
Dorothy shot her a look. “When did you lose your confidence?”
Natasha just shrugged. “It’s not that I lack confidence. I’m sure I’m not Percy’s type.”
So she wasn’t going to fool herself into thinking he liked her.
Dorothy pursed her lips. “You’re amazing. If Percy doesn’t see that and ends up missing out on you, that’s totally his loss.”
Natasha snorted. “I couldn’t agree more.”
So as far as she was concerned, her chapter with Percy was closed for good.
The only one still stuck in the past was Percy. Meanwhile, Natasha was over it.
She was already moving on with her life.
Natasha had assumed that after she refused Jared’s gift the other day, he’d keep his distance for a while.
But as she was wrapping up her workday, she suddenly got a call on the office line. It was from Jared.
“Wait for me after work. We’ll leave together,” he said.
Natasha froze for a second.
It took her a moment to realize it was Jared’s voice.
But before she could say anything, Jared had already hung up.
Natasha could only wait for Jared so they could leave together after work.
But their relationship had to stay under wraps.
She had no choice but to wait for him in her office.
After all, it wasn’t like she could waltz into the CEO’s office to find him.
Night was falling, and the office was getting quieter.
Suddenly, the door to her office swung open behind her.
Jared strode in, his tall frame dominating the entrance.
“Why didn’t you come find me?” he asked.
Natasha turned around to look at him. “You told me to wait, didn’t you?”
Jared walked over and gently took her delicate hand.
“Let’s go,” he said.
Natasha instinctively pulled her hand away.
‘Relax, we’re still at the office, she reminded herself. ‘But can’t he be a little more discreet?’
Jared seemed to read her mind and murmured, “Everyone’s gone.”
He was basically telling her that no one would catch them holding hands.
When Natasha stepped out of her office, she saw that the place was pitch dark.
