Natasha’s words doused the passion that had been burning in him all night.

“So, to you, I’m just here to satisfy your physical needs?” he asked, his voice low and tinged with disbelief.

His expression was gloomy, struggling to accept it.

When she got to the office, Janet waved and called out to her.

“Someone came looking for you. He’s waiting for you in your office right now.”

Natasha couldn’t help but feel a bit surprised and uneasy.

‘Who would come looking for me in my office so early in the morning?’ she wondered. ‘Is it the Whittiers again, here to give me a hard time?’

Natasha walked to her office, still puzzled.

She opened the door, glanced inside, and was stunned to see Lizzie sitting on the guest sofa.

Lizzie was dressed in a custom-made outfit, knee-high boots, and carried a limited-edition bag.

She looked like the picture of sophistication and grace.

“Ms. Hopkins, what brings you here?” Natasha asked, unable to hide her surprise.

She couldn’t help but be taken aback by Lizzie’s unexpected visit.

After all, she usually came to see Jared toward the end of the workday.

But that day, she showed up before work even started.

“I came here specifically for you,” Lizzie said, fixing Natasha with a piercing stare.

Natasha couldn’t shake the feeling that Lizzie was giving her the evil eye. ‘Is it just me, or is Lizzie really out for blood?’

“You’re here for me? What do you want?” Natasha asked as she walked over, her tone a mix of curiosity and caution.

Lizzie got straight to the point. “At the last party, I saw you and Jared all over each other.”

Lizzie’s forehead was pulsing with anger. “So you’re admitting it? Admitting you went after Jared?”

Natasha shot back instinctively, “I’ll admit, Jared and I have something going on, but I wasn’t the one who made the first move. Besides, he’s not even your fiancé, right?”

Lizzie was practically shaking with anger. “Yeah, we’re not engaged yet, but his family’s been planning to match us up for ages. It’s just a matter of time before we end up together!”

Natasha pointed out, “So that means you two aren’t actually together yet, right?”

Lizzie clenched her fists, unable to hold back her outrage. “Is that really the point? The real issue is you knew I liked him. even asked you to help me chase him. And then you went behind my back and hooked up with him yourself? Natasha, that’ s so low! Seriously, do you have any shame at all?”

Lizzie knew that women always surrounded a guy like Jared.

But she never imagined the woman he’d choose would actually be Natasha of all people.
