Chapter 62 Make a Move on Him

Chapter 62 Make a Move on Him

When Jared finished his call and turned around, he saw Natasha sprawled out on the couch, fast asleep.

If her hysteria wasn’t satisfied for too long, she’d eventually pass out.

And next time, the episode would hit even harder.

Jared frowned and made his way to the couch where Natasha was sprawled out.

Natasha’s eyes were shut tight, and even in sleep, she looked irresistibly alluring.

Her dress was in disarray, clearly tugged and twisted during her episode.

Her long, pale legs stretched out, and even the curve of her chest was barely concealed by the rumpled fabric.

A dangerous glint flashed in Jared’s eyes.

A rush of heat surged through his body.

He leaned in, his tall frame hovering over her, lips just a breath away from hers.

Just then, a knock sounded at the door.

Jared got up and went to open it.

It was the guy he’d sent earlier, bringing her meds for the episode.

But he was just a bit too late. Natasha was already out cold.

Jared took the meds and shut the door.

This time, he didn’t even look her way.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to, it was that he didn’t dare.

He knew if he looked at her again, he’d never get any sleep tonight.

But when Jared lay back down in his hospital bed, he tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.

The image of Natasha lying on the couch, looking so irresistibly charming, kept popping into his mind.

In the end, he couldn’t control himself and sneaked a peek at her on the couch.

He caught a glimpse of her adorable, innocent sleeping face, taking in every stunning, seductive detail.

His heart was like a spring pond, and she sent waves crashing through it, stirring him up in ways he’d never imagined.

Ripples kept spreading, one after another, making his heart flutter uncontrollably.

An overwhelming satisfaction, something he’d never experienced before, flooded the emptiness inside him.

Jared knew he was done for.

He was really screwed this time.

Even though he knew she was married, he still found himself irresistibly attracted to her.

Jared thought, ‘Am I really about to become the other man here?

‘Damn it.

Jared climbed out of bed once more.

He scooped up his blanket as he went, then walked over to the couch and tucked it around Natasha.

His eyes had never been so gentle as he looked at her in that moment.

Natasha had no clue how long she’d been asleep.

By the time she finally woke up, it was already broad daylight.

The sound of people quarreling drifted in from outside the door.

Natasha groggily opened her eyes and heard the bodyguard trying to reason with someone. “Miss Hopkins, Mr. Rundell is resting. No one can go in without his permission.”

Lizzie didn’t buy it. “Not even me?”

The bodyguard replied, dead serious, “Absolutely no one.”

Lizzie protested, “Come on, it’s already so late, and he’s still sleeping? I’m just here to bring him breakfast. Let me in, I promise I won’t bother him. I’ll just drop it off and leave!”

oursey,

“Mr. Rundell’s breakfast is always prepared by the staff, Miss Hopkins. There’s really no need for you to trouble yourse Besides, if you go in now, you’ll definitely end up disturbing him,” the bodyguard said firmly.

But Lizzie refused to leave.

“But I made this breakfast myself, just for him…” she pleaded.

She almost never cooked, but this time, she did it just for Jared.

But now she couldn’t even give him the breakfast she’d made herself. She could not give up like that.

“Let me take care of it. A voice came from behind her.

It was Sharon.

The bodyguard immediately greeted her respectfully, “Miss Rundell.”

Lizzie quickly greeted her, too. “Miss Rundell!”

She wanted to marry into the Rundell family, so she made sure to be friendly with Sharon.

“If you don’t mind, you can leave the breakfast with me, When Jared wakes up, I’ll bring it to him,” Sharon said with a smile,

Since Sharon offered, Lizzie obediently handed the breakfast over.

Natasha waited until their footsteps faded before finally sitting up.

But then, a low, magnetic voice came from beside her. “Did the noise wake you?”

Natasha looked over, startled.

Jared was right there beside her, and she was actually lying in his hospital bed.

She was stunned for a moment, then quickly pulled herself together.

Her fair face turned crimson in a flash.

Even her ears were burning now.

“Why am I in your bed?” Natasha stammered, her cheeks burning.

Jared handed her a glass of water.

He gave her the meds he had delivered last night.

“You had an episode last night…” he said, his voice casual.

Natasha thought, ‘Oh right.

‘Last night, I really did have an episode right in his hospital room.

‘I even tried cooling off in his bathroom with a cold shower.

‘But it didn’t do a thing.’

In the end, she had no choice but to ask Jared for help, hoping he could get her some more meds.

She vaguely remembered lying on the couch, waiting for him to send someone with the medicine.

Natasha wondered, ‘How did I end up in his bed?

‘Did I really not wait for the meds and just climb into his bed myself because I couldn’t take it anymore? ‘Wait, seriously?

‘If that’s really what happened, did I do something to him?’

“Did I do anything to you last night?” Natasha stammered, barely able to get the words out.

She bit her lip, forcing herself to ask.

Jared’s eyes locked onto hers. “What are you talking about?”

Natasha couldn’t even look at him. “Did I do anything out of line to you?”

‘Out of line?’ Jared echoed in his mind, a sly glint flashing in his eyes.

He narrowed his eyes, a teasing smirk on his lips. “Oh, you did. And plenty of it.” Natasha was stunned into silence.

She wished the ground would just swallow her up.

‘Did I really do something to him?’ Natasha thought, mortified and confused.

And to make it worse, she couldn’t remember a single thing.

Natasha blurted out, “Mr. Rundell, I’m really sorry, I swear I didn’t mean to. My hysteria just hit out of nowhere last night,

She grabbed the meds and water from him in a rush.

Then she tilted her head back and gulped them down in one go.

Jared asked, his tone full of teasing implication, “So, how are you planning to make it up to me?”

“Make it up to you?” Natasha blinked, repeating his words in disbelief.

Natasha flinched.
