Chapter 75 Leaking Company Secrets
Chapter 75 Leaking Company Secrets
Percy was silent for a moment on the other end.
Natasha grew impatient as she waited for him to reply.
“Just sign the papers as soon as you can, and let’s set a time to meet at the City Hall,” she said.
With that, she was about to hang up.
But Percy’s voice came through, incredulous. “You’re really divorcing me just because I care a bit more about your sister?”
Natasha let out a cold snort. “Yes.”
She thought, ‘Like that’s the only reason a marriage falls apart.
‘Is he really that clueless about his feelings for Joelle?
‘I’m just done playing along with his act.’
“You…” Percy was about to say more, his brow knitted in frustration.
But Natasha had already hung up on him.
She refused to waste another second on a man who didn’t love her.
Once upon a time, she’d been fooled by Percy, but now she saw through him completely.
Now that she knew where his heart truly lay, Natasha felt no need to say another word.
She powered off her phone, shutting out any chance of Percy bothering her again.
‘I’m done letting Percy intrude on my life, Natasha thought, refusing to let him harass her any longer.
Percy walked back into Joelle’s hospital room, his face stony and cold.
The doctor had already discharged Joelle.
Her injury really wasn’t serious, just a sprained ankle.
Yesterday, she’d only faked being unable to move to put on an act for Percy.
After a day in the hospital, her ankle was already back to normal.
Joelle changed out of her hospital gown and stepped out of the bathroom.
Percy’s eyes landed on the designer off-the-shoulder dress she’d worn yesterday, and he frowned in confusion. “Why didn’t you wear the dress I bought you?”
He knew Joelle never wore the same outfit two days in a row, so he’d gone out of his way to have a designer dress delivered just for her.
But to his surprise, she hadn’t even bothered to change into it.
“Seriously, why did you get me a yellow dress?” Joelle snapped, clearly annoyed.
Percy’s handsome face registered genuine surprise. “You don’t like yellow?”
Joelle shot back, “I absolutely hate yellow.”
Percy looked genuinely shocked. “Didn’t you used to love wearing yellow dresses?”
Joelle fired back without a second thought, “Seriously? I told you I can’t stand yellow. Why would I ever wear a yellow dress?”
Percy was left speechless.
‘Maybe Joelle really did like yellow dresses as a kid, but now she’s grown up and her tastes have totally changed,’ he thought.
He could still remember how, back at that prestigious academy, he’d been bullied, and a little girl in a yellow dress had come to his rescue, offering him a handkerchief so he could wipe his tears.
Percy thought, ‘Did I get it all wrong? Was that little girl not Joelle after all?
‘But Joelle has the very same rainbow bear handkerchief that the girl had given me back then.
‘If it wasn’t Joelle, then who else could it have been?’
Natasha returned to her new apartment at Oceanview International, finally settling into her own space.

Chapter 75 Leaking Company Secrets
By the time she finished unpacking and organizing everything, it was nearly midnight.
Totally wiped out, she flopped onto the bed and was out like a light.
She didn’t wake up until the morning sun flooded the room.
As soon as she powered up her phone, Leigh’s call came through. “Natasha, you need to get to the office right now. Something huge just happened!”
Her heart gave a jolt.
She quickly washed up, pulled on an outfit, and hurried straight to the office.
The executive floor was eerily quiet, and Natasha immediately picked up on the tense atmosphere.
Just as she was wondering what was going on, Leigh spotted her. “Ms. Whittier, you’re finally here!”
Natasha apologized awkwardly, “Sorry, I overslept! What did you mean when you said something big went down at the office?”
She’d been so wiped out from moving last night that she’d forgotten to set her alarm before crashing.,
She’d slept straight through and only woke up naturally, way past office hours.
Leigh’s expression was tense. “Mr. Rundell is raging right now. Come with me to the conference room.”
Natasha hurried after Leigh into the conference room.
Jared sat at the head of the table, his presence dominating the room.
Even though his face was cold and stern, Natasha could practically feel the anger rolling off him.
Natasha wondered, ‘Who managed to piss him off this time?
‘Could it be that his date with Lizzie last night was a total disaster?’
Natasha had slept in this morning, and as soon as she woke up, Leigh’s call came through, she hadn’t even had a chance to check her phone for any other messages.
Natasha thought, ‘I have zero clue how Lizzie’s night with Mr. Rundell actually went.
‘But Mr. Rundell is not the type to mix business with pleasure, right?’
Natasha sat down with Leigh.
Across from them was Derek.
Natasha gave Derek a look, asking what was going on, and he was about to signal her with a glance.
Jared suddenly called out, “Derek, fill everyone in on what you just learned.”
His voice was icy, and the temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees.
Derek’s expression turned serious. “Yes, sir.”
He shot Natasha a quick look before addressing the room. “We just got word this morning, the BC Project’s details have been leaked.
“Even though we moved fast to contain it, Thalruar still found out. They’re extremely disappointed and angry about this serious breach. So, the BC Project might be put on hold…”
The conference room was buzzing with anxious chatter.
People thought, ‘How could such a crucial secret get out?
‘The company has poured a ton of money into this project. If it all goes down the drain, it can shake the whole foundation of the business.
Even Jared might have to take the blame for this mess.
Natasha felt the tension rising inside her, realizing just how serious things had gotten.
Just then, Jared turned to her. “Ms. Whittier, do you still have the project plan I gave you earlier?”
Natasha answered immediately, “Of course!”
