Chapter 337 The Level 5 Giant Spider
The approaching footsteps gradually revealed themselves
Mutated zombies.
There weren’t many of them, so everyone handled them wifit case.
But just as they were about to reach Zone E, a sharp, car-piercing sound suddenly tore through the massive parking garage from behind!
Screech!
It sounded exactly like metal grinding against metal.
But not quite.

The sound made everyone’s scalp tingle as they instinctively turned to look.
Then they saw it. A creature whose head nearly touched the ceiling.
Its face was covered in palm-sized eyes, packed densely together.
Its body was twice the size of the level 4 mutated spiders they had killed earlier, a level 5 giant spider, moving on ten pitch black, long, razor sharp legs as it advanced toward them!
“Holy shit!”
Draven nearly dropped his jaw. “How is it that big?!”
That metallic scraping sound came from the top of the giant spider’s body grinding against the ventilation ducts above.
Everyone’s expressions changed as they quickly scattered to both sides.
Cecelia frowned and looked at Blake.
Blake immediately understood what she meant. “A level 5 mutated bug crystal can help Amber level up. But it’s basically equivalent to half a level 6 mutated zombie…”
“Yeah. Not a big problem. How long can you control it?”
“Two minutes.”
“That’s enough.”
As Cecelia released her wood ability, she rushed past everyone and charged straight toward the approaching mutated spider!

Kaczer Group was full of danger
Just the giant spiders in this parking garage had already caused thera serious trouble.
If they hadn’t worn protective suits earlier, they would’ve been much more injured.
If they didn’t have Ivy, a healing ability user, or if she were below Level 4, things wouldn’t have gone this smoothly.
After all, the key to entering this place was preserving everyone’s strength.
Avoiding injury was the priority.
Now that Ivy was here, they could choose to conserve their strength or find ways to improve their abilities
Among the people Cade brought, aside from himself, everyone else was level 4.
Including Glen with his water ability.
Cade understood Glen’s reasoning. Whoever killed the crystal kept it. If they helped now and used up their strength, they might not have enough left to take down another level 5 mutated bug later.
But…
Cade weighed the crystals in his pocket. He already had a decent number of level 4 crystals. For now, it was enough.
After thinking it over, he said to Glen, “Captain Carter said we’re one team. Even if Cecelia’s group gets this crystal, that’s fine. Next time we run into a level 5, we take that one. That’s what teamwork is, Glen. You can’t start thinking differently just because they’re younger.
“A level 5 mutated bug is even harder to deal with than a level mutated zombie!”
Glen’s face darkened. “How can you be so sure that when the next one shows up, they still have the strength to help us?”
Cade paused. “Even if Cecelia’s team doesn’t help, we still couldn’t take down a level 5 mutated bug on our own.”
Cade gave Glen a suspicious look. “Glen, why does it feel like your brain’s not working today? This isn’t even complicated.”
Glen’s expression stiffened. “You’re the one not getting it. What if there is no next one? And if you waste your ability helping now, it weakens your ability to protect the team later.”
Cade was the only level 5 ability user on their team!
Glen believed conserving strength was the priority.

Cade shoved him aside, rolling up fres Aceves. A team helps each other. That mindset of yours isn’t it. You can sit there and conserve your strength. Tre going to help them.
Glen froze, realizing all his words had been wasted.
