Approved for Her Rejected for Me novel Chapter 99

Chapter 8

With Eric steadying me the whole way, I sped to the police station. The moment I saw Ian standing

ere unharmed, my knees almost gave out.

“Mom, don’t cry! I’m okay!”

He puffed up proudly, tapping his little chest. “The police lady said I’m smart and brave!”

I wiped my tears.

Then I saw Rachel. Handcuffed to a chair. Wild-eyed. Twisted with fury.

She shrieked at everyone in the room:

“I didn’t break the law! I just wanted to take the boy to kneel at his grandmother’s grave! What’s wrong with that?! Do you people even know who my son is?!”

Her voice was sharp enough to carve metal. Madness burned in her eyes.

After Eric finished hearing the officer’s report, his face turned to stone.

That was a real Alpha’s presence, once his expression darkened, the entire station fell silent.

I knew this wasn’t going to end quietly.

Then the slap echoed through the station. Rachel hadn’t expected her own son to strike her. Her sixty-year-old body crumpled against the chair, eyes wide with raw fear.

Wesley ground his teeth.

mother to her death. I even tolerated the things you whispered to me afterward.”

His voice dropped to a razor-edged whisper, every word a blade.

“But you dare touch her son? What’s next, do you plan to kill me too?”

someone-”

didn’t get to finish. A cold, measured voice cut through her excuse.

Eric stood beside me, gaze like a drawn knife.

“Alpha Wesley, we will not sweep this under the rug. I won’t allow someone who threatens my wife

and son to walk free.”

Wesley’s face twisted with humiliation.

Rachel screeched, “Who the hell do you think you are?! Ever heard of the law? What can you do— kill me?!”

Eric didn’t even blink. “If murder weren’t illegal, you wouldn’t be sitting here right now.”

Rachel opened her mouth to continue screaming, but Wesley’s voice dropped into a deadly, frigid

register.

“Shut up.”

She stopped instantly.

I signaled my bodyguard to take lan away and leave him with my assistant. Once I returned, I found
