“To all my colleagues, I apologize for meeting you this way. Lucas Harding secretly mortgaged company equity and embezzled massive funds to buy Jasmine Miller real estate, cars, luxury goods-bleeding us dry. There’s nothing left for your year-end bonuses.”

The room exploded.

Half these people were counting on that money.

The same execs who’d been kissing ass seconds ago swarmed him.

“Mr. Harding, is this true?”

Lucas’s jaw locked tight. Didn’t say a word.

Jasmine clutched his sleeve. Her smile froze.

The video kept rolling.

The room exhaled collectively.

People patted their chests in relief.

“Chloe gave me a hell of a deal-just so you all got paid.”

“As the new board director, I’ll be restructuring positions. Including Mr. Harding’s.”

Lucas’s fists clenched so hard his knuckles cracked. Blood rushing to his face.

But hearing Benson call me “Chloe” so casually?

His chest felt like it caved in.

Benson kept talking. Crowd ate it up. Applause drowned out everything else.

Lucas stood there rigid, one punch away from losing it.

Then Emily rushed up, handed him a file.

He glanced down. His face drained white.

He bolted-forgot Jasmine entirely.

“Lucas, wait!”

Jasmine scrambled after him.

I set down my wine glass. Watched the livestream end. Benson nailed it.

This was step one.
